Comment: The main reason for purchasing this helmet is the face shield goes all the way open!
I bought a tinted face shield as well looks nice and has a kind of rainbow color to it when light hits it.
Overall I'm very happy with my purchase and happy with Jafrum's quick delivery
Best Answer:No, I did not get one. I bought two helemets ( one for my kid ). I also bought two sena 10 communication systems and happy with both. I like the helmet for the price but it does fog up with a 50 degree day fast (same with most helmets).
Hi I bought my Gmax GM11D abd I'm very happy with it. Helmet is great for my quadbike off and on the road. I use sunglasses most of the time with visor wide open and visor closed at higher speeds on the road. Only problem is a rain and fogging. What option would you recommend. Get a heated shield for the helmet or a googles? Thank you for your answer. Danny
Best Answer:Never used a heated shield and not sure how well they work. Goggles would work because they get adequate air flow and would work better off road. They also make a anti fog spray. It's pretty dry here and not a lot of rainy days but it's the 55 degree days and below that fog up my shield. I just crack the shield open slightly and that clears it right up in our dry climate. I did install a Sena 10 communication system and can control my smart phone from my helmet which has worked out so well I bought my kid the same set up. Good luck.
I would not go with the heated shield, it is not a street rated shield i think. There are some sprays you could try. The Rain Ex from Jonny B's reply i have heard works great. Lifting the shield to the first ratchet for a few minutes may work as well. Have you tried a breath guard?
Hi Danny, I don't know the answer to your question. We don't ride, and haven't got caught in the rain. We haven't ridden in cold weather either. We just got back into riding after about 45 years, so taking it slow. Sorry I wasn't any help. Marge
Best Answer:There is a size guide on the web-site. It worked o.k. for my wife's helmet but my head shape must not be generic as I had to exchange for a larger size. I think my face is wider below my ears or something, but Jafrum is very good about exchanges only you will have to pay the postage to return it.
