Great pants at a great bargain price.

Comment: I live just north of Victoria, British Columbia and the area I live in qualifies as a rainforest for a reason. We can get rain every day for a month sometimes. I tested these pants and they kept me warm and dry -Despite a minor rip in the material holding the liner in the left pantleg I love these so much I will be buying another pair for my wife. Incredible bargain.

Good-quality at bargain price.

Comment: These pants are strong & will keep you warm in cold weather. I rode 4 hrs in sunny 34 degree weather fine. The weak point are the ankle strings that fasten the liner to the shell. Taking-off your pants, they will break easily if you try to ram your foot out rather than nudge it out. All-in-all a very good product considering the price.

Great Pants for the price

Comment: These pants are exactly as described. Just like other reviews, the sizes are exact so if you want to put them over your jeans, get one size larger. Good Fit and Comfortable. Also, the Seller did a great job.

Motorcycle Armor Pants

Comment: These are well made pants and true to size when you order a size larger to go over jeans. Only change in these pants I would like would be a easier fit around the ankles. This is a great buy for the price and i would buy again.

great pants

Comment:
The pants are a great looking safety and warmth pants for riding motorcycles and/or scooters. It would be nice if you could keep your shoes on before putting the pants on, and it would be awesome if they could come in a color other than black. But these are small quibbles. All in all, a great product, and one that I would recommend.

Jafrum Textile Cycle Pants LP2821

Comment: Excellant quality pants for $59.95. I am a 38 and size 38 fits over my jeans. At 6' and 220, pants are plenty long, even sitting. Not bulky or flashy for us Cruiser guys. Waterproof and insulation liner comes out. I will use for riding and also as a snow pant in the yard. Zipper attaches and patch match my black Textile jacket form a different manufacturer. Also, Jafrum exchanged my size 40's for 38's within a week. Thanks Jafrum ! GJ

Update on 03 Dec 2008. I used the pants without the insulated liner, to ride about 10 miles on a dry morning at 34 degrees. They were perfect. I don't see how the $160 pants out there could be much better.

Great value!

Comment: I work nights at a major trauma center and on a few occassions I actually get a few spare minutes to peruse the web. I found these pants one Saturday morning at 3:00 and ordered a pair. I forgot how slim I am and ordered the wrong size. Nuts! Called on Monday morning at 4:00 local time and the young lady changed the size and the shipping method for me with a cheerful word. They arrived a day earlier than they were supposed to!

I wore them in 34 degree rainy weather for an hour and my legs stayed warm without a hint of coolness or liquid sunshine coming through. They are absolutely flawless excepth they are too long. I put a pair of suspenders on them and they are perfect!!!! I would never ride without them!

Perfect for Office Worker

Comment: I work in an office and showing up in jeans or keeping a spare set of clothes at work just doesn't cut it. These pants are warm (autumn riding), slip well over dress pants/boots, and enable me to show up ready for the work day. Love having durable pants that can take abrasion better than jeans, and was struck with the design (hook-loop covering zippers), removable liner, and aggressive pricing. Jafrum is now on my short-list of accessory suppliers.

WOW!!!

Comment: These came in today and I had a chance to wear them in 50 degree weather. I had read others say they were comfortable in the 40s with out the liner. They were right! coming home tonight 50 degrees, dark, and damp. Definitely worth twice what you pay for these. Jafrum, you have a very satisfied customer.

Comment: Very well made and with excellent features for the money. Sizing is spot on. The liner is VERY warm, save that for Winter riding. Look to be comparable to gear costing three or four times as much. Buy these!

Great value motorcycle pants

Comment: I've put 3000 miles and 8 months of riding on these pants and they are holding up extremely well. I've also had the displeasure of low-siding my bike at around 20 mph while wearing these pants - the armour worked beautifully and the textile held together - not a scratch and no soreness. This is a great value.

Waterproof pants

Comment: Just got my order in today & I must say these pants look to be built pretty darn good for the money.
as soon as I got them home I tried them on & they seem like they will be well warm enough for our late season mountian rides. For the money, I think I will be ordering a 2nd pair to keep on hand.

Aussie winter

Comment: Have had these pants for the last 2mths right in the middle of our winter... excellent warmth and water proofing spent two hours on a freeway bucketing down with rain... stayed warm and dry...... only problem is the lining rips away from the shell very easily around the cuffs at the bottom... but for $50 US I can't complain... I reckon I will get at least 3 more winters out of them...

Get what you pay for

Comment: my wife and I just got back from a 9700 mile trip across the country and these were the pants that both of us purchased. So that being said, I wore these pants all day every day for a month straight. On our trek we went through a huge range of weather from over 100 degrees in death valley and then frigid mid 30s going over tioga pass in Yosemite national park. We also drove through a few torrential rain storms (one day we drove 350 miles in solid rain) as well as a blizzard on the way home. Needless to say, we were hot, cold, wet and just all of the above throughout our trip. Now for the actual pants: I am 5'11", 175 lbs, 33" waist normally and I wore an XL which were wide in the hips but fit pretty decent. My wife is normally a 6/8 and she got the L which were long and wide on her, but still worked fine. Things that broke: When I first got my pants, I put them on and tried to tighten them with the waist straps and when I did, the strap tore right off of the pants. I returned them and got a new pair pretty quickly. first day of our trip, the ankle cuff clasp tore on both of our pants. Half way through the trip, the same left waist strap that broke on my first pair broke again. lastly my zipper broke off as well. Performance: As far as warmth is concerned these pants with the liners in do a pretty good job of keeping you warm. When you are riding in the warmer temps, these pants are extremely lacking in ventilation and tend to be uncomfortably hot and sticky. In a light rain, these pants do just fine. In a down pour, these do fine for a while until the rain saturates the pants and it soaks through. they are "waterproof" not gortex. However, they do dry out fairly quick at highway speeds since they are textile. Overall thought: I think these pants are just ok. Yes they did work for us on our trip. Knowing what i know now about them would I buy them again for the same trip? Yes If I was on a tight budget, No if I really wanted a quality pant. These are great if you are ok with so-so quality and knowing that they are going to break somehow. Hope this helps!

Comment: I just got my pants in and they fit perfectly over my regular pants...of course the weather has gotten better in Georgia so I won't be wearing them much now but next fall and winter I'm sure I'll be enjoying them! Nice quality, fit, and finish. I wear size 40 pants and ordered the 5X size, they are just the right size so don't be afraid to order thebigger size!

Comment: I live in the Pacific North West, it rains here all the time, winter temps are around 30-40 degrees. Motorcycle Overpants

Comment: Very warm. Ordered my actual pant size and I am very happy with the fit over jeans. Must remove shoes to put on or take off. Zippers at the cuffs are fine and bind with inner material. Pockets are difficult to access due to large zipper. They should swap the zippers between the pockets and pant legs and all would be well. Great value overall. Would recommend with no hesitations

Motorcycle Leather Pants

Comment: I was so impressed that I ordered a second pair for myself, a pair for the wife and a pair for the son. I've found these pants warm (even without their insulated liner) as well as waterproof in drizzeling rain as well as heavy pouring down rain! I'd recomend these to my friends as well as just aquaintances I come across on the road. Don't think you could find a better pair of pants for the money, not failing to mention their style and construction.

Comment: I ordered on a Sat and rec'd Tue. Shipping times are outstanding. This product was as promised. I rode in 30 weather for over 5 hrs and was comfortable. Great Riding Pants

Comment: I ordered a pair this past spring and didn't have much of a reason to try them out until this fall and I've been wearing them almost daily since early October here in Arkansas. I've taken out the insulated liner and have found that I'm comfortable down into the 30's with the pants! I've worn them as low as 19 degree and as warm as the lw 70's and have been comfortable and not overly warm during the highest temps. Not failing to mention that they are waterproof, found out via experience on more than one occasion. Makes it nice that you have a pant that is not only armored but also waterproof and warm! I liked them well enough that I bought my wife and my son a pair for this past Christmas and a extra pair for myself.

Jafrum armored pants

Comment: These are great pants for the money. They are constructed very well. I was concerned that the 2XL would be too big but, they fit almost perfectly over my jeans. The only complaint I have about these is, the inseam could be an inch or 2 longer and, I can't put them on with my boots on. Other than that, they are very nice pants. I would recommend these to anyone wanting some great protective pants at a low cost.

Motorcycle Pants - Waterproof Motorcycle Pant with Removable CE Armor

Comment: These pants are great for the price. I use these pants in cooler weather to go over jeans. Sizing is pretty well right on. I am a 31" waist 6ft tall. I got a medium which is just right. My only complaint is that they are a little short for me, but luckily my riding boots make up for the lack of length. Still a great buy.

Great deal

Comment: I am size 31-32 waist, and ordered the medium. They fit a little big, which worked out because I need to wear them over my work clothes, which they fit over perfectly. At 5' 8", they are long for me. When I am in the riding position, I pull them up high, and they don't budge. I have ony been riding in hot weather, so I have the liner out, and they aren't bad until I come to a stop. I don't know if there are different models of these, because I have no vents in mine and other reviewers say they have vents. I rode after a heavy rain, on a wet bike, and no moisture whatsoever got through. There is a zipper on the back to attach to a jacket, but my leather jacket zips in the opposite direction, so I am going to have to reverst the zipper on my jacket, which will be much easier to flip. It seems there is no standard for this among different companies. All in all, these pants are a great deal. I paid 50 for them, and they are worth every penny. Highly recommended.

Great waterproof pants

Comment: Pants are exactly as described. The size chart is right on and fit well. The description says it has a zipper to connect pants to jacket. The only issue is to which jacket they are referring to. That information should be included because I would love to have a matching jacket to go with the pants.

Sizing Assessment

Comment: Don't order a size up if you're a 32!Sizing is THE critical issue with these. Comments are all over the map. My experience: I am a 32" waist, 30" inseam. I ordered a "MEDIUM". With liner removed, this size fits perfectly over pants, but not too baggy without. If I use the liner AND wear pants under, it's still a good fit but I have very little room which is just right. I believe the recommendation to order a size up is incorrect for MY waist size, (32). However: this might not be true for the "larger" peeps. Either that, or the company has bad quality control on sizing. Overall: They are WARM. The waterproof liner cannot be removed, but it does seem somewhat vented. I'd say these are good for up to 80 degree heat. Any more and you'd be praying for mesh at a stop light.

Super pants!

Comment: I bought these to go with the jacket and am very pleased. they are very comfortable for riding and the lining makes them warm. One suggestion is that you may want to bungee the botttoms to keep air from going up your leg. The reason for the four stars is that the pants, like the jacket have not done well at sewing in the butttons which hold the lining in place. Furthermore, the pants have very flimsy material sewn in to the lining to hook on the buttons. First time I put them on, the buttons fell off and the cloth look came off. No, I didn't try to put them on with my boots on, which would be impossible. Having sewn in new loops and re attached the butttons, these pants are my daily wear as my bike is my main set of wheels rain or shine! I need good clothing and these are good (aside from the button thing!)

Value priced cold weather pant

Comment: These pants arrived quickly but I was not able to use them until recently when the cold weather set in, I was disappointed that the tabs the hold the liner in place were already ripped form their place of anchorage on the inside of the shell. Fortunately this did not affect the performance of the pants on my 50 mile commute when temps at 5:30 AM were hovering at around 30 degrees. Have only had to test their water resistance on one brief occasion when I passed through a light thunderstorm. For the money I have not seen a a better cold and wet weather pant that compares for both construction (with the exception of the previously mentioned ripped anchor tabs) insulating properties and moisture resistance. The shell is heavy and should resist tearing. Great value.

Outstanding Product at an AMAZING price

Comment: This is the best value you will find anywhere! Pants are very well made, I was expecting a low quality product for this price, I was wrong. I've been using these to ride in temps in the upper 20's and they work like a charm, after 30 mins of riding, I don't feel the cold. I'm 5'10 220 lbs and I'm using an XL size. The fit very nice, just a bit long for me, but don't get in the way at all. Pants have plenty of secure pockets and you can remove the inner liner to ride on warmer waether. I would buy these again in a heartbeat!

Waterproof Pants

Comment: Just came in the door 29 degrees right now. Pants kept me warm on a 30 min ride. Pretty happy About that. Still upset that the waterproof lining is NOT removable (like the description still implies). But adding another star anyway. These are good for cold weather. Change the description jafrum- only the insulation is removable not the seam-sealed waterproof lining.

Nice pants

Comment: I have ridden in my first pair over 50 thousand miles with few complaints other than the waist strap pulling loose and various spots where the fabric pulled loose at the seam, fraying under the thread, leg zippers stop breaking, waist snaps coming useless. With all these problems I ordered myself a second, backup, pair as well as a pair for my wife and adult son. For the money, I think they are a bargain as long as you don't freak out with minor problems showing up. Great buy for the money. Guess my only complaint is the lack of use I've had out of my FirstGear coat and pants that cost over five times the cost.

Good pants for the price

Comment: Con-very bulky with the armor in it. The stitching comes undone easily Can't put boots through it. Pro-comfortable once the armor is removed Even on hot days still keeps cool. The thermal is definitely for 45° or lower weather. Cheap price. I'd rate them 8/10. Would be a 10/10 if I could fit my boots through it. Overall satisfied with the pants.

Comment: I have been using these pants for several weeks now and am very impressed. The removable liner makes them suitable for quite cold temperatures. I rode one day at 25 degrees and stayed toasty warm. Once the liner is removed, the pants are not too hot, though I've yet to test that in the heat of summer. The armor is as advertised (CE and easily removable). On sizing, I followed others advice and went a size larger than usual. I now wish I had just followed the sizing guide and stuck with what it said, as they are a bit large on me. In any case, I highly recommend these.

Pretty cool or should say warm

Comment: Bought these to wear without jeans under them and so ordered for a short legged fat guy, and was impressed at how well they fit, not to be mistaken for dress jeans, awesome fit. I will sweat to death on a warm day, but wore them the other day in 15*C weather as a trial, and they were toasty warm and no liner.....not to wait for our fall riding season to start, in Northern Canada and see how well they hold up.

Great quality, sizing not accurate for women

Comment: For all those women out there looking for a good warm set of protective motocycle pants: the sizing isn't exactly accurate for those of us with curves. I am 5'5 and athletic, but curvy and when I ordered what appeared to be my size, the pants came in MUCH too large! Also, it was suprising that the pants leg length is very short. I was initially going to give hte pants to my husband, who wear a larger size waist, but he's 6' tall and the length of the legs would have made them look like highwater pants. That being said, the pants are very good quality, have a built in adjustable belt, and would have been worth every penny if they had fit properly. Instead, I decided to return them since I'm worried the next size down will also have sizing issues.

Great product, great pants!

Comment: My first bike pants and I can say they´re great. If you are looking for good pants (water proof, with armor AND comfortable) you can have them for a fair price. Just weared them 2 days ago and were so warm and comfortable! You can be sure to like them.

good deal

Comment: Good deal for some reasonably warm and waterproof pants. They are a little bulky as has been mentioned, and I initially chose the wrong size. I wear a 38 pants, and using these as overpants, only need a XL. I would recommend NOT going a size up as suggested above.

Great Riding Pants for Great Price

Comment: I have worn these pants every trip out since I got them. I have ridden in low 30s temps several times and have not even needed the zip-out liner! The pants are super comfortable and a breeze to pull on and off. I would recommend these to anyone.

Pants were Exactly as Adertised

Comment: More times than not, these internet ads exaggerate the product quality and performance. Not in this case. The first time I wore them, I got caught in a rain storm, and the pants kept my bottom half dry and warm. Hopefully, I will never have to try the skid pads, but I am sure they will work, too!

First pair of overpants

Comment: I just bought a pair of these overpants based on the positive reviews. It's my first pair of motorcycle pants of any type. I received them quickly and they seem well made except perhaps for the zipper (fly zipper). I went to try these on over my jeans for the first time and when I went to pull the zipper up it snapped in two- the part you pull to zip and unzip the fly. It seems like it's made out of very low quality pot metal. Liking the pants otherwise I decided to not hassle with returning them and McGyvered a key ring to replace the broken part. They seem to run true to size. I have a 32-33 waist with short legs so I ordered a medium and they fit well over my jeans.Tomorrow will be the first actual road test. I'm going to give them four stars for now based on apparent quality for the price, knocking a star off for the poor quality zipper.

Good fit

Comment: These pants are great, with zip out liner def needed for hot days. There are some easy access/also hidden pockets that are convenient. I got pretty sweaty under but this is to be expected; did not realize air vents until too late. Good value for the price for sure

Motorcycle Pants with Removable CE Armor Review

Comment: This is my first pair of motorcycle pants. I ordered these after reading all of the positive reviews. I ordered medium and they were shipped quickly. The first time I went to try them on over my jeans I went to pull on the zipper to zip up the fly and the pull tab part of the zipper snapped off in my fingers. The metal completely gave way under ordinary pressure. I managed to get the zipper up by using my fingers to pull up the slider and otherwise the pants seemed to be of decent quality. I replaced the pull tab with an old keyring and decided to keep the pants instead of hassling with sending them back.

It worked pretty good for me!

Comment: Well I live in a tropical paradise called Costa Rica in Central America, with a most various diferent microclimates as 40°C at the north and west side of the country and a freaking warm humidity at the east coast with a lot of rain and at south side of country a cold temperature like a 10° or 15°C. In fact the pants worked pretty well for me and my girlfriend because in the hot they give you a really nice feeling of the wind and when you get to the coldes places they work so nice to keep you warm. So in my opinion that pants are so good for the price you paid.

LP2821 textile motorcycle pants review

Comment: I bought these pants for christmas for my daughter's boyfriend. He and I haven't always had the easiest relationship so when these arrived he was thrilled! He said the fit is a bit weird but they work really well in the cold Indiana weather this year. I even got a smile from him. The crotch, which was mentioned in other reviews is a bit loose and the legs a bit tight, but he said he can wear his jeans underneath for work with plenty of room. He's very happy with them.

Wow...great bang for my buck

Comment: Ok, so I don't want to start this off negative but the sizing chart is a bit off....I had to send my first pair back because they were too big. I wear a 38 waist in jeans and I wanted to put these over my jeans so I bought a 3xl based on the description and size chart. These pants were huge. I just got the replacement pants in a XL and they fit perfect. Now for all the positive about these pants. Nice armor, great price and I can wear these all year around. Its hard to find a pair of pants at this price where you can remove the inside layer. I would recommend these pants to anyone.

Adequate

Comment: pants were a great Price and they fit well. Like other reviews I read, The side straps ripped of instantly as soon as I tried tightening. Fit well over pants and didn;t have the "saggy crotch" issue that others had. All in all good pants (except for the straps).

Your motorcycle pants

Comment: My first ride wearing my new pants really proved their utility. My trip was four hundred miles in winter weather. The last hour of my ride was in rain. I got neither wet nor cold. The pants were comfortable. They were a good buy and a smart purchase.

Nice pants for money...baggy in the hips & backside

Comment: Purchased these pants in one size larger than needed, as recommended for wearing over jeans/pants, but they were WAY too big. I returned hassle-free with Jafrum, and ordered the next smaller size (the size recommended WITHOUT pants underneath) and they fit just about perfectly, with the exception of baggy hips and butt area. In all, nice pants for the money.

Motorcycle Overpants LP2821 Review

Comment: Ordered pants from Jafrum and they came in a reasonably short time. Ordered by the size chart and they fit good. at first I thought the came up a little high, but being water proof I realized it was a very good Idea. I bought some suspenders to make sure they stayed up and were comfortable. The only critical thing I have to say is the armor in the knees rub a bit. I have to keep bending it to fit my knees a little better. A little more padding on the inside of the knee ares might help for more comfort. Overall fairly comfortable.

Motorcycle Overpants LP2821 Review

Comment: Order a size or two bigger than your normal pant size. Theyre waist adjustable and are warmer than I imagined. My first ride with them had been in 41F temp. I was sweating!!! The liner does come out for a cooler ride and the armor is pretty descent as well. Only thing I would like to see is more reflective material.

LP2821 Motorcycle Pants Review

Comment: Great quality material used in these pants, though there are a few odd sizing quirks. The crotch is very low in the pants, which is fine when standing up, but when sitting on a bike (especially in town with feet on the ground) this causes the pant legs to ride up and expose the ankles. Not a huge deal as they are still good for long rides. Very warm and windproof, rode comfortably at highway speeds down to 35 F. Overall good deal for $xx.xx

Great for cold weather

Comment: These pants are great! I recently rode from south Florida to an area close to Atlanta, GA. Temperatures along the way dipped into the mid 40's, but with these pants, and a lined rain jacket, I stayed warm. Even a little rain did not get through. I highly recommend these pants for cold weather riding. They are a little bulky, and I zipped out the liner, but they did the job.

Comment: Wrote a review a while back. Seem sealed liner does not zip out. Jafrum may have actually read it because they changed the description. Awesome, way to use your feedback. I think it shows this is a quality place to get my gear. Thanks 4 listening.

Comment: Excellent pants for the money. At 6' 2" and 255 lb., 4XL fits nicely over street pants; 3XL would be right as primary pants. These pants are good for spring and fall, as they are much warmer than riding jeans.

The LP2821 Riding Pants is one of the best values in riding pants you’ll find. Similar name brand pants can go for more than three times the money. They’re made of a high grade, water resistant poly-nylon blend with reinforced ballistic panels in the knees. They come in black and are available in sizes extra small thru five-X. and are sized to be worn as regular pair of pants. If you would like to wear these as overpants, measure your waist while wearing whatever you plan on wearing under your riding pants. Billy B.A., here, is 5”10”, 160, with a 32” waist, and is wearing a size medium with no jeans on underneath and the liner installed.
They’ve really nailed the feature design on the 2821’s. This pant design accommodates all different shapes of riders and different riding positions, as a result of the belt adjusted stretch panels on each side of the waist, as well as the stretch panels in the upper seat and the knees.
They have also done a very good job of keeping the water out, despite the lack of waterproof zippers. The main closer is protected on the outside by this combination snap and hook and loop cover flap. Inside the zipper is a gusset that’s waterproof thanks to the taped seam liner that is found throughout the pants. On either side of the fly, are flap protected zippered pockets for storage.
The zippered gusset design can also be found at the cuffs. This feature’s simplicity really helps keep the water out and the price down, but the lack of a full leg closure makes this model less suitable as an over pant, because they are going to be pretty tedious to get on and off with jeans on.
Protection is also ample on the 2821’s. There is memory foam padding in the hips, CE approved armor in the knees, and reflective piping for added nighttime visibility. On the back of the pants, a zippered panel has been added to allow the pants to be attached to your riding jacket. This helps to keep the skin of your lower back covered and protected in a crash.
Inside the waist, you can see the zipper for removing the quilted thermal liner. To get the liner out, you will also need to unsnap the liner at the cuffs.
