My feet give me a lot of discomfort. I had them broken in a motorcycle accident some years ago so have to be very careful about the footware I use. I'm very impressed with these boots. They're leather, so it took the first couple of times to get them broken in. They're now as comfortable as my favourite shoes!

With the G-Adventure boot, Gaerne is targeting a rapidly growing market known as the adventure touring market. This strap and buckle type boot has been designed to excel in adverse weather conditions, so it will also work well for dual sport and ATV riders also.
They’re available in US sizes five to thirteen, and for a European made boot, are fairly wide, so they will fit a lot of different feet. The generous shape of this boot also allows a rider to wear heavier socks, which is nice for any type of touring.
The upper is made of top grain leather, and the sole is knobby to help you navigate through the deep stuff.
At over thirteen and a half inches tall, this boot is designed to provide full lower leg support, but still be super flexible, and it sacrifices its medial ankle protection to help achieve this flexibility. So, I would probably put this boot in more of a pleasure, or recreational touring environment than a pro level adventure riding situation. If you’re looking for a boot designed for a more hard core ride, check out the new Gaerne Midland Boot.
This G- Adventure has a three strap buckle closure with a Velcro panel at the top to accommodate different leg sizes. Incorporated into this front panel, is a TPU plate to protect your shin. A reinforced toe box and heal cup are also here for your protection.
Riding boot features can be put into two categories, features for crashing, and features for when you’re not crashing. Hopefully, you are doing far more upright riding than testing the boot’s protective features.
The most important not crashing feature for me is comfort. The key element to comfort is dryness. A great touring boot should keep your feet sweat free, and keep the rain and mud out. This Adventure boot does both. The wicking liner hides a Drytech membrane, which has tiny pores that are the precise size to allow vapor to pass through, without allowing liquid sized molecules to pass. This allows the boot to evacuate sweat and repel water at the same time. The boot also features a removable insole that can be replaced when worn out, allowing you to maintain new boot comfort.
