Some ladies prefer their boots on the taller side. Mid-calf height, providing extra leather coverage while keeping jaws dropping.
If your game is moto mixed with sexy than look no further than the Sacred Talls. A flat sole provides sure-footedness while integrated alloy heel plates and shifter nubs provide requisite motorcycle functionality.
Of course the leather covered shinplate is sure to evoke a gladiatorial sexiness that seems most appropriate when found on the ladies (sorry Maximus).
Comment: These boots are definitely nice looking. I am skinny by nature though so I awas really surprised to have a hard time zipping it up on my ankle area. I had to return them because this winter I need to layer up and I can imagine the zipper not wanting to close at all. Yes they look great but they are very uncomfortable.
The Sacred is offered in a tall version, which we are going to look at now,
and a low version as well. Be sure to check out our breakdown of the low version
of the Sacred boot after this video.
The sacred is one of Icon's more subtly styled women's boots. It has a slim,
slender shape and a minimalist look that makes this boot look sexy without being
gaughty or over the top. It is made out of top grain cowhide leather and it is
soft to the touch. This boot maintains the important features you look for in a
riding boot despite it's soft, slender apearance. For example, Icon was able to
retain the shifter interface nubs on top of the shoe but you can hardly see
As we move on to the side of the Sacred boot we see the side zipper type
closure. This isn't just any zipper. In addition to the snap, here, that helps
keep the zipper in place,
The zipper also has the YKK autolock feature. When the boot is zipped up, with
the grip in the down position, the zipper is locked in position, if the zipper
grip is up, it is unlocked. This helps prevent the zipper from creeping while
walking or riding.
On the back of the boot there is a metallic polyurethane slider. If, for some
reason, you decide to get off of your bike while it is still moving, This insert
helps protect your heel from shock. This material slides easily on pavement as
well, which not only helps keep the boot intact, it also helps to reduce
Moving on to the other side, there are two buckle style adjustable straps.
Although they add a little bit of support, they are more for form than function.
The sole of the boot is very low profile, with a wedge shape that has almost no
shank. It has an ergonomic sole that is shaped specifically for a woman's foot.
Women's feet are typically narrower than a man's and this sole reflects that.
Inside of the sole has an axialmetric steel shank to give some added support and
We had one of our lady riders try on th Sacred Tall boot. While she found the
boot comfortable, she found the sizes to run a bit small. She is a typically a 9
½ and while the boot she tried on was a 10, she found the boot was too tight.
You want the boot to fit snuggly and securely but you don't want it cutting off
the obvious mnoticeable differenc between the Sacred Leather and the Sacred Low
is the added panel in the front that protects your shins. If you've ever had
your foot slip off of your foot peg you know how painful that can be, this
protective panel helps prevent that.
This boot is good for street riding when you want to combine function with
