The leather is the same thickness of many other chaps we looked at which ran about 4x the cost. These are perfect, and you just can't beat the price! I have to mention that my daughter wears an 8 slim in jeans and I bought her the XL. They fit pretty snug in the legs but are loose in the waist even though I have it on the tightest setting.

Comment: I got these for my Daughter she is 8 and very thin with long legs so I got the XL so she would not out grow them so soon they look great on her other than about 3" to long so I added 1 more hole to the belt she loves them and good quality product.

Comment: We loved the chaps we ordered for my 9 year old son. We ordered him the vest, jacket and chaps. Excellent Quality, great prices. We sewed patches on them and he is the coolest kid now he looks super cool too!. I wish I could post a picture!

Comment: Seriously, I've been shoping from Jafrum for over three years and again, I get an incredible bang for my buck. These chaps are the real deal. Our family is on the lean side so she normally wears a size Girls 8, I order her a small, rather than the medium because she only wears fitted or skinny jeans. She loves them. The fit is perfect.

Comment: Except that my son isn't a normal 11 year old size where the chart is concerned and they were too small. I cut into the inner thighs and rigged them with some leather, velcro and adhesive but will just get a bigger size instead. Highly recommended however cost wise since kids outgrow things so quickly, it was so much better to pay so much less for excellent quality!

Comment: My son loved them, We went a size larger because you know how kids grow when they are eight. Had to modify the waist Got the leather hole punch a couple holes in the belt Six hole in the back and they fit great with plenty of room to grow in. If I were to make any Changes it would be the bottoms of the Chaps where the snaps are. I would make them about 2-3 inche bigger. My son wears cowboy boots and they were a little tight getting snapped around the upper part of the boot. Other then that we are pleased with the products and services.

Comment: My daughter loves them. Great quality. Only problem is they are too tight in the thigh. These are made for bird leg kids and my child isn't fat. I took out the zipper and added gromits to make them lace up the leg. Work great.
