Great set of chaps I've been riding in 40 degree weather in N. Va. and they are excellent at keeping out the wind. Good quality and you can't beat the price.

Comment: My thickest leg measurement is 23.5. I'm 5'10'', 155lbs. The medium (with the liner in) fits good & snug over jeans & long johns. The length is enough to snap down over my boots and keep all the air out. These have a heavy duty zipper down the outside of each leg & 4 snaps at the bottom. They are very comfortable and help greatly on those cold winter night rides.

Comment: I ordered mine a bit big, and I think they're great! Very comfortable, and since my ignition needs to be replaced, I can take my key out after I start my bike, and zip it in the front pocket of my chaps. Side pockets are too deep, though is my only complaint. Very warm at 30 degrees.

Comment: I got these for my wife and wow are they heavy duty chaps, the removable liner is great as well. Only issues with these are the sizing is goofy, my wife is only 4'9" the ability to cut these down was great but they are huge in the legs and makes her look goofy lol then we had a button come off even before she wore them and because we cut them to fit her I would have to send them back for warranty work? It will cost under $10 to repair them so shipping them back is not an option, Jafrum may have offered me a partial credit for my inconvienience but I am still happy, jafrum sells great products we will ship with them again forsure.

Comment: I havr recieved my chaps today. Have not used them yet. But was worried on how cheap they would look, but they are not cheap looking or material wise. They are snug fit, so keep that in mind when you order. If you like tight fit order how they request, if not order size larger. From what I see you can't go wrong, I am ready to order sissy bar bag now, since I have laid eyes on the product everyone has praised. You will be happy with what they advertise.

Comment: Zip out lining & pants style chaps like this for under $50.00, you can't go wrong.

Comment: The leather is very heavy, which is what I wanted. The lining is good, too. The hardware (zipppers, snaps) look sturdy, although the "fit and finish" is not what you'd get on a 200-dollar pair of chaps. The front zipper pocket is nice, but the 2 side pockets (as mentioned in other reviews) are useless. As I said, very good for the money. Overall, a good value. I got them on Friday and it was maybe 45 degrees F here in Park City, UT (6500 feet). It had snowed a couple of days earlier, but the roads were clear. The chaps kept my legs warm. THIS made the chaps a bargain for me. I can ride later in the year when it's colder. They were not bulky like "snow pants" would be. A final note on size. I measured my thighs, almost 31 inches (yea, I know). I'm 6 feet tall but my inseam is short, also 31 inches. I tried the 9xl WAY too big. I wound up getting 8xl, which are marked 31" on the thighs. The legs were not snug for me at all, they fit without stretching the elastic panel they have on the inside of the thighs. The waist/belt was still too big (9xl was HUGE). I wound up adding eyelets on the back adjuster so I could make the waist smaller and I wear the front belt on the smallest "setting" (eyelet hole). The beltline is also tall for me, about 3 inches above the waist on my jeans (NOTE: I think my legs are 3 inches shorter than the average 6-foot-tall person). So, if you've got big short legs like me, these chaps may be "tall" for you. If you can do some minor leatherwork (I have a kit), it's certainly worth the price and do the adjustments yourself, you will save over the expensive chaps. If you're very picky about such things, you would probably be disappointed. This is the only disadvantage to buying such items online, you can't try them on first. You CAN return them as I did, but realize you will pay for shipping both to get them back to Jafrum AND for the new pair you order (they're still a bargain, in my opinion).

Comment: I searched locally an on the web for a set of chaps at a resonable price. When I found Jafrum I was sceptical because of the price. After reading many of the reviews I deciced to order theese chaps. I did order a size bigger as most people had suggested and I'm glad I did. The caps fit nicely with the insulation in and over jeans and longjohns. I'm 5'10" with a 32" waIst and 155lbs. I didn't have to trim the bottom because the length was perfect with my boots. I have to agree with another reviewer that the slot pockets are not very usefull because they are too deep and the opening is too small. You can't get your hand to the bottom. I will modify them by sewing the bottom shorter. If I were to order again, I think I would order the standard insulated chaps not the pants style because of the pockets. Over all these chaps are functional and nice looking. They are worth the money.

Comment: My son was the 1st to get a pair of these. I liked them & ordered a pair myself. I have a pair of unlined chaps from Jafrum, but I liked the quilted liner in these. Our cold season hasn't quite started yet, but I ride to work in 40 degree weather & these insulated chaps do well. Hopefully no need for thermals!

Comment: I've worn mine about 5 times and they will strech a little. For those that don't know, the thigh is around the top of the leg. Measure with your jeans on and if inbetween numbers go larger than smaller. Unless you want them tight. There is no length given but mine fit real good with the L my thigh is 23" more loose than tight with jeans, I'm 6' and they fit good.

They are much heavier than I expected and the removable liner is a great bonus feature. So far I've ridden in 40 degree weather and I've been toasty warm. Comment: Excellent quality and service. you would normally pay a couple hundred dollars on these chaps at other places. My only issue is the sizing... I ordered the XL2 which according to my measurements, but they were way too small in the waist and thigh, so I ordered a larger size, and they were way too big, now I'm hoping the third pair is the correct size. But looking forward to wearing them in the cold winter mornings. The liner, snaps and zippers are very good quality.

Comment: I ordered these a few months ago. My only suggestion is, if you have muscular thighs and aren't tall (5'-8") you may want to call in your order or something. I have 25" thighs and it says I need 2XL. That works for the leg size, but not for lengh to waist. They hung about 3 inches too low and the belt was WAY too big. All in all though, OUTSTANDING quality, and it wsn't a total loss. I gave them to my brother for Christmas and they fit him perfectly. So now I have the leather pants and they're fit perfect!

Comment: I'm 5ft 9in tall 190lbs and I order the L and they fit just right. Just a bit loose, good for adding longjohn but I dont think I will need them. It only took a few days to receive them and I took out the liner and added a layer of fleese over the liner sewing them in wth a sewing machine. Went out for a ride in 45 degree temp in Mi. and rode around for about 45 mins. Never felt the cold wind at all. I dont really like the pockets. They are so tight I cant get my hand inside and down to the bottom of pocket. But otherwise they look ok for the price.

Comment: Followed size chart, measured thigh at 23 1/2", rounded up to 24" [L]. Received chaps within 48 hours. Had to trim a few inches off the length and adjust the lacing in the back. I am 5' 8" 180 lbs. Happy with choice, will go with Jafrum again!

Comment: Got these chaps about a month ago, and am happy with the quality. They are definitely smaller than what you would normally fit. I was in a retail leather store trying on chaps, and ordered a size larger than what fit me at the store. I would recommend measuring your leg quite high, as that seems to be about right. I have a 23" thigh and 35" inseam, and the medium size fit me quite snug. The leather finish is "hard", not soft like a dress coat, which I like.

Comment: Just received these in the mail only 3 days after I ordered them. Right out of the box they are extremely nice, thick leather, heavy duty zippers, and the liner zipps out along the legs and buttons in place at the top. The two hip pockets are usable along with a front zipper pocket. I used the size chart and went up to the nearest inch and they fit perfectly. Im 5' 8" with a 23.5" thigh, I ordered the medium only thing was I had to trim the length to fit as expected. Still has 2 buttons left on the leg at the bottom, and the waist is perfect. Very very very nice chaps.

I only had to cut them off maybe 1 inch, they seem well made and the waist is easy to adjust.The only thing is the inside pocket is to deep, I can put my hole arm inside before I reach the bottom. Comment: Had to exchange mediums for smalls. I measured according to the chart and fell right in the middle. I ordered according to recommendation but had to go down a size. I'm 5.9 167 LB and had to go to the small which is now a perfect fit. The top of the thigh has a section of strech panel so snug works well with these. Good heavy leather that can use a good rub down of your favorite leather conditioner, but good quality.

Comment: Ordered these on April 7th and they arrived on the 11th! WOW! Fast shipping! And they are spot on with the sizing (for me anyway). I added 1" to the sixe of my thigh and they fit snug. My only problem with them is they are a little short for me but I am 6'9" tall and have a 40" inseam. But even that isn't a big issue. They show about 1" of the bottom of my jeans. Overall I am VERY pleased with my purchase and will reccomend JAFRUM to friends and family!

Comment: Very nice chaps for the cheap price Cheapest price I have found.If you mant a snug fit order your size stated if you like them a little loose order 1 size up. I have worn them in the cold 50 degrees on a sport bike they kept me warm. I had to trim to fit no problems with that. Nice product would buy them again.

I have large thighs and the size chart said to order a 3X. However, when I got my chaps...I sinched down the lace in the back and added one eyelit to the belt and they fit absolutely perfect. Could not be more please with the product...thick durable leather, great comfort, and the liner is great! Shipping was very fast. Would definitely come back to Jafrum again! Comment: These came exactly as the description said. They are warm (cut the wind) even without the liner attached, fit correctly and easy to shorten. Some of the belt grommets came apart though. They might get better materials for future products.

Comment: This is the first set of chaps for me. Overall, I give this item 4 stars. The Jafrum experience was great - no problems with ordering and they kept me abreast of the shipping details. I ordered a size larger as suggested. Still a little tight around my thighs, but not enough be a problem. I don't think the "insulation" that comes with the chaps is very good. First time out, my legs were a little cold (it was about 50 outside). I now wear insulated underwear under my jeans and chaps and I stay warmer. Overall, these chaps are a great product for the price and I will order from Jafrum again.

Comment: I have had these insulated chaps about a month. They are heavy leather and seem well made. They fit good, although, I probably should have ordered a size smaller since the inseam is the same and is plenty long. I ordered the XL and have plenty of thigh room but have to adjust the waist as tight as I could in back and still use the tightest belt hole to get a good fit. These are my first chaps and are stiffer than I expected due to the thick heavy leather, which is good. I wore them this am riding to work in 29 degree weather and my legs stayed warm. Great product.

Comment: Just got trough testing my chaps. They were great to ride with. I would incourage anyone to buy two sizes bigger though. They were easy to cut and trim to size. They block the wind no problem and easy to move around in.
