I was very impressed by the quality of this bag ! It was heavier duty than I actually expected. The shipping process was great, no troubles what so ever.I ordered my stuff to a US packagexpress and qualified for the free shipping, then I went over to the US to pick it up, saving alot of other fees. This is my first time ordering from Jafrum and I would not hesitate to deal with them again. The whole experience was great !!

Great looking quality for the price. I have spent more money for a backpack for school/work that was not made of leather. It has lots of pockets. I have not taken this on the road, so I am not sure how it will hold up, on the back of a bike. Could easily be used as a weekend suitcase (assuming you don't over pack "just-in-case") and tossed in the back of the car, for additional use.
Looks great, multiple straps and attachment points. Can't wait to try it out.
Very fast shipping soft leather and fits perfectly on my 04 wide glide.
Received my leather sissy bar bag rather quickly and found it to be exactly as described. My wife and I can carry our fur person (Pomeranian dog) if I use the bag as a back pack putting the dog between us on the bike. If we leave the dog in the RV we can still use the bag to carry extra gear and lunch while we tour the local sites. If we decide to hike down some of the trails I can carry the bag as a back pack so we have our water and extra gear. We RV quite often through the midwest and carry the Yamaha on the rear hitch. The sissy bar bag is very practical and adds style. We are in our 70's and appreciate useful products that make life more enjoyable.
"Received my Leather Sissy Bar Bag the other day, and couldn't be more pleased. The bag fits nice and snug over the passenger backrest on my Roadstar. there are so many straps for tie down, that it's impossible for this bag to come loose. When the bag is unzipped, the storage capacity is more than enough to accomodate for those weekend trips. Well worth the purchase price and would recommend this bag to anyone who wants to travel."
Amazing product. It was delivered on time and its well constructed. If you buy this .. you will not be disappointed. I couldn't be happier.
Great bag and unbelievable price. I bought as closeout and combined with free shipping offer. Always very pleased with quality and service found at Jafrum. I am big fan.
Unless it's packed full of stuff, it looks sort or limp though. Some of the guys said they used a waste-basket to give it structure. I liked the idea, but not being able to find the perfect can size and shape, I opted for using a kitty litter pan (new). I know, but it works!
I used the two piece pan with the tray and the other piece being an open top, just to help keep the litter in the tray. Perfect size and shape! When I want to pack it full for longer trips, I'll probably take the tray out.
Seems reasonably rugged and reliable. I use it to haul stuff back and forth to work. I have stuffed it full and half empty. Sits solid on the bike. Much more room than I had imagined. It hasn't shifted on me or done anything other than what it's supposed to. An excellent bag for my needs.
I bought this bag for my wife's 650 Yamaha when I purchased her saddle bags. I have mounted the bags on her motorcycle and they fit well. The size of this bag is sufficient for a week long trip. I'm pleased with the bags and I was grateful to find a quality set of bags for a great price. When the sissy bar bag is packed and mounted, it provides a good backrest for the driver.
nice quality can use for other things also
basically happy with the bags, I have to pad out the sissy bar to make the strap hold on, and bungy cord it all to the bike ( V star 650 ) otherwise, as it is a soft bag, and the luggage settles on the journey - without doing this it could come loose. With the extra support, it all sits well, and doesn't move. i find that the stitching around the zippers on the pockets, could be better, but for the basic price - no product complaints....My only beef is that the carrier, UPS, charged me an extra $11.30 on top of the Import Duties and taxes - which more than DOUBLED the actual Gov. Fees
Even with the pad removed the bar is too wide st the base for the sleeve to fit over it. I should be able to secure it with the available straps & maybe a bungee cord. I am pleased with the quality and capacity of the bag and glad I bought it besides the one glich
I bought 2 of these bags - one for my wife's Heritage Softail and one for my Road King. The laced sleeve on the bag is not large enough to slide over the standard Harley sissy bar pad on either of the two bikes. These are standard OEM backrest pads, nothing exotic. Even removing the laces completely, it will not slide over the pad. So this bag does not "fit all motorcycles" as advertised. I believe that we have figured out a way to secure them using the straps and some bungees, but it sure would have been more convenient to be able to use the sleeve as intended. Otherwise, the bags have plenty of room and are of decent contruction quality for the price.
After going back and forth about ordering bags online, Saw this one and really liked it. Read all the reviews. and ordered it. It came in 3 days. it was great!!! the leather is very nice. Saw some bags at a fair, their bags didnt even come close to the quality of the bags from here. My guy was not real happy about me ordering the bag online, until he saw it. He is very hard to please when it comes to bike things. He loved it, was very pleased with the leather and size of the bags. We are going away for a weekend, so I put eveything we would need for a 4 day get away. still had room left over. We are very happy, and will be ordering more things from Jafrum.
Awesome multiple purpose bag with lots of storage. It's my luggage even when not on the bike. Has both laced mounting pocket & nylon straps with buckles.
This bag is exactly what I was looking for. If you are taking a short trip you can use just the top roll bag, or use a bungee net to hold down the empty space on the large bag.
very nice leather bag, great value with lots of room.
Okay, my husband was extremely pleased with these bags. Quality, generously sized and fantastic all around.
Sissy bar bags are a great way to add a very large amount of easily removable storage to your bike. There are numerous different sizes, materials, and mounting options available, so there is sure to be one to suit your needs.
This is the cowhide leather version of the SB1 style bag and is available in black. The top roll bag is included at no additional charge as is a full coverage rain cover.
Now, I’m not going to go over every single pocket and zipper on this thing. There’s too much. There are some really good photos on the listing if you need a better look from a certain angle. What I want to do for you is show you some of the unique features and more importantly how the mounting system works. Also, there are some key features that this bag does not have on purpose, so we can look at those and give you something to look for and think about so you can pick the best backrest bag for you.
The most important thing to remember with motorcycle luggage, especially sissy bar bags, is that there really isn’t a wrong way to mount them. These bags come with a ton of mounting options, some of which you may not be able to use on your particular motorcycle, and that’s ok. You may even come up with an arrangement that the manufacturer hasn’t even thought of. Basically, if the bag is secure, it’s mounted correctly.
The main component to the mounting system on the SB1 Leather is this laced sleeve. Simply fit this sleeve over the backrest and tighten and you’re most of the way there. There are numerous straps and clips covering the outside that can be used however necessary. The only limitation is your imagination. I like to use them to secure frequently used items, like raingear, an extra sweatshirt or vest, or even a tent. If you use a luggage rack, take note of the weight capacity. If you are over the limit, no big deal. Mount the bag backwards and set it on the seat. Depending on your riding position, you may have just created yourself a comfy little backrest of your own.
To mount the supplementary roll bag simply feed the mounting straps through the roll bag straps and connect using the buckles. The cool thing about this strap system is that you don’t have to put the roll bag here if you don’t want to. It’s also the perfect spot for your bed roll or sleeping bag. Still need more room for even more junk? Not to worry. The main bag expands to almost 200% of its original depth by unzipping this full circumference zipper.
One of the features this bag doesn’t have that some riders like is an internal frame of some sort to make the bag rigid. There is actually some benefit to this in certain situations. I often find that I return from trips with way more stuff than when I left, especially if I have visited with friends or family. Because this bag has no internal frame, it can be rolled up and stowed in a saddlebag until it’s needed. If you prefer a rigid bag, but don’t want to spend upwards of three hundred dollars to get one, simply place a small rectangular container like a garbage can inside the bag to create a rigid sissy bar bag.
Another feature included with this piece of luggage is the complementary rain cover. It rolls up small enough to fit into one of the small exterior pockets but is large enough to fit over not just the bag but almost anything you may have attached to the outside of it. If you don’t have anything on the outside of the bag to fill up the cover, be sure to wrap some bungies of some sort around the cover to keep the wind from tearing it up. I personally like to use two cargo nets. It’s ugly, but it works really well.
