Got these the day before a cold Sat. ride that started in the upper 20's. I rode about 12 miles, staged & then rode another 20 miles or so. By the time I went home it was in the upper 30's and they performed well @ 70+ Looking forward to this New Year's Day to try them out for an extended ride, which is projected to again start in the upper 20's but warm to the low 40's. Good value to performance for my needs.
I got these for my husband for Christmas. His hands are always cold, and so he can't ride if it gets below 50. Well, we didn't ride motorcycles, but we did ride snowmobiles. It was 48 when we stared, 8 when we finished. His hands were WARM the whole time. In fact, for a while, he had to switch to lighter gloves because his hands were sweating too much! I highly recommend these!
PROS -The gloves are indeed waterproof and windproof. -Keeps your hands warm in 45 degree Fahrenheit weather at trips over 20 minutes at speeds higher than 65 mph. -The gloves being long protect very well from any wind when secured properly. CONS -Got a size bigger because it was recommended, but they are well, too big, and still tight! -In temperatures in the 30s and lower left my fingertips cold when I was done riding for about 25 minutes. - The fingertips are a little too big, but may be do to size. OPINION I will be returning these for a size smaller and may get glove liners, but other than the cons these gloves are great.
I have a problem getting cold rather easily, and finding the right gloves was very important to me. I have a one hour ride into work every morning. (two hours of riding a day, nice..mostly...)Now the roads I travel I go about 45 and 50. So the wind is not as bad as on the highway. In that context, so far the coldest it has been was 36. My hands stayed warm. I would recommend these gloves. One thing I don't think the add points out, both index fingers have a special padding on them for wiping off your sunglasses, works great when there is a mist.
I don't know if I just have cold hands or what. But anyway if the temp is below 50, my hands get cold and i can't seem to keep them warm when I ride. I've really only wore these once below 50 so far. They did really well, I had one finger start to get cold. I have a 25 mile trip at 60 mph. so yes i'm happy with them.
Great bike gloves for riding in lower temps. I wear them during the late fall and thru the winter season.
The gloves keep my hands warm and dry. A great buy with value. You can't go wrong.
I measured my hand as per the instructions, 9.0 inches, so I should wear a med size glove. These gloves are VERY tight. At first it was okay. Although it felt very tight, I could form my hands around my grips without any problem and they felt nice and warm on my 40 degree early morning ride. My recomendation is you should go one size up from what the measuring tells you for these gloves.
Shipping was fast, and my husband was really excited about how well they fit because of the adjustable straps.
These gloves work great in 55 degree weather. Didn't even notice the cold. It was nice.
I got these for my brother's birthday a couple weeks ago. They run smaller than I expected, so we had to return them and get a bigger size. No worries, tho- it was easy to do! The gloves are of good quality and I expect them to last a long time. Thanks!
I bought these gloves because the "Cold Weather" gloves that I got at my local motorcycle dealer for $50 ended up only being good in weather down to 50 degrees. I don't know about you but I don't really consider that as Cold Weather. I have been using these and they work great down to about 35 degrees, and I don't really wanna riding in much colder weather than that anyway.
