I usually wear an XL to 2X Tee shirt, I ordered a 3X jacket and it is a bit tight. The jacket is awesome and I think a real bargain, but I would certainly order at least one size, if not two sizes larger.

This jacket was everything I hoped it would be at an excellent price. Was a gift for my son, and he loved it! It came on time, which is saying a lot because it was Xmas week and a lot of my stuff from other shippers was late. This jacket does run a bit small, but I took other reviews into account and ordered a size bigger. Like I said, my son loves it.
I've had this jacket for 8 months now and so far it is an excellent jacket. It keeps me nice and warm in the winter with the vents zipped up and the inner lining inserted, and cool in the summer without the lining and the vents open. The sleeves are extra long which I personally like because it means they extend all the way to my wrist while I'm reading, but they are noticeably longer when you're not riding. It's got an inner pocket which comes in handy, too. The leather is soft and supple, but I think it might look like "cheap" leather to anyone with a trained eye for the stuff. It doesn't necessarily look like a cheap jacket, but at the same time the leather doesn't look like the kind you can buy at the motorcycle shop for $400 either. The style is cool and retro and fits my Triumph Bonneville nicely. The one thing I don't like about it though, and it bothers me a lot, is that someone at the factory took a brillo or steel wool or something and scratched up all of the seams on the leather to give it a "retro" look. I think it looks tacky, like buying jeans with holes already in them, but overall it doesn't detract that much from the jacket's look. Overall great jacket especially for the price. I would buy it again.
I love this jacket. High quality leather, and a great fit. I'm 5'9" 155 lbs, and the medium fit me as expected. Surprisingly warm with the liner in: I rode this around Seattle with only a fleece underneath in 35 degree weather, and was comfortable (at least my torso). Arrived on time, and being on clearance, the price can't be beat. What else can I say? If you want a vintage look, you want this jacket.
Great jacket. I love it. I wanted something with a vintage look to it that still fit me well, which I like a slim fit. I'm 6'1" and weigh about 160 (tall skinny dude) and the medium is great. The arms are definitely long enough, they are a bit tight with the liner if you're wearing long sleeves under. The forearms are where I would worry about fit. The jacket is definitely a slim fit, and the arms are no exception. Great for me, could be an issue for any Popeyes looking for a jacket. Leather is good quality. It came in the mail while I was at work and I asked my wife if it smelled good and she said it smelled like "cow hide"... She was way off! Buffalo hide haha. Outside zippers are strong and zip great. The zipper for the liner seems a little weak. The jacket is relatively comfortable. I only ever wear it riding so its fine. I was very surprised when I tried it in for the first time. For a less-expensive jacket I expected the leather to be quite a bit stiffer. But it is soft, thick, beautiful leather. The collar strap is uncomfortable and I always unbutton it as soon as I'm off the bike, and I really don't notice it when I'm riding. But I think the leather still needs be broken in at bit more, and it will only get better with age. Overall I would definitely recommend this jacket. It is a great jacket, good fit. It should last me a long time. And for the price it doesn't get much better.
I have nothing to add to the previous comments, and they are all true: excellent value, very good leather and look, size is normal but if you have big arms (width) especially at the elbows and if you will use the inner shell, may be you need to ask for a bigger size. 100% recommended, congrats to Jafrum, all was perfect.
Jacket is good quality, has removable liner that I didn't even know about. You just have to order AT LEAST one size larger than what you ordinarily wear.
Great looking jacket that arrived as scheduled and as I expected. Fit is good and the size chart made it right the first time.
Like everything about the jacket except the sizing. If you order this, get it one size larger, then it will fit
The 8021 leather jacket is my favorite non armored Detour jacket. It’s made of dark brown top grain naked buffalo leather with a patina to it and I’m telling you, this leather is awesome. The full aniline treatment keeps this leather butter soft, and really works well with the large grain of buffalo. The beige rally stripes really complete the retro look. This jacket is definitely getting added to the personal collection. This jacket isn’t just handsome, though. It performs on the bike as well. Now, it isn’t armored, so I certainly wouldn’t put it in the touring jacket category, but as a bar hopper this thing works perfectly.
The 8021 is available in sizes medium to 4X, and the fit is accurate as per the size chart on the listing. My boy Billy B.A., here, is 5’10” 160 and fits in this medium perfectly.
The 8021 offers a ton of ventilation, with zippered vents, that also work as pockets, on the chest, and more vents on the sleeves and on the back. While we’re on the back you can see that Detour has kept the back of this jacket very simple which gives you the opportunity to get a real good look at the quality of the leather. It really looks great.
The main closure features a brass looking all metal YKK zipper, and a single snap Euro style collar. Opening the jacket up reveals the removable quilted thermal liner that is flanked by this hidden zippered pocket. Unzipping the liner, allows you to see the fixed mesh liner. This liner improves mobility and comfort by giving you a breathable layer of material between your skin and the hide.
