Vega Summit 3 Helmet Sizing
Helmet Sizing Information.
To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described below. Remember that the helmet sizing you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points. The cheekpads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side. Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheekpads can be purchased to obtain the perfect fit.

"easy open/close, easy replace shield, interior visor easy to use, air vent on top front was broken on mine, my wife's was o.k. No big deal, just buzzes in the wind since day one. All and all , a very good modular helmet. Bought two in red, may get another in black, eventually...."
What a great helmet
Great Helmet for the price. Found it on Sale. I always want a drop down sun-shield. It comes in so handy when riding those country roads, from shadow to bright light. Easy one hand operation.
Rode in the rain on the way home. Found out that the visor does not seal completely.
Fits a little snug, but not uncomfortable. I can put the helmet on and off while wearing glasses. A plus. Helmet is a little noisy but this is a fact of modular helmets. There is some buffeting noise but not that distracting. Not loud enough for ear plugs. I have been riding to work every day for the past week. One morning temp was around 42 deg. The Summit has an added plus for these days. There is a wind guard that is held by hook and loop. It keeps the cold wind out of the Helmet. The down side of this is that the shield fogs up when stopped. Just need to raise it a little and it will clear right up. All things considered I feel this is a Great Buy. I hope to get several years wear from this Helmet.
As always, Jafrum handled everything great. The helmet has been a joy to wear! Great helmet for the money. Functionality is good.
This helmet has the looks and feel of a MUCH more expensive one. The fit is great!! My helmet arrived the day you said it would and the service has been great. I would highly recommend this helmet for someone who is looking for a modular.
The other day I tried on several moduler helmets at my local MCycle shop, ranging in price from 150 to 500 bucks. None fit as nice as my new summit 3. Will report back after I have had a chance to us it
This is a great helmet. The last one I used was Summit ii but this one has far exceeded my expectations of a modular helmet. The cool thing is now I can attach the bluetooth unit to this when I need it.
This is a great helmet. Jafrum Customer Service far exceeded my expectations for service! Jafrum went beyond what most companies, I have dealt with, would do to correct a wrong color shipment to make the customer happy (and get me on the bike, since I can not ride legally without a helmet)! The Pearl Yellow is an outstanding Color to get people's attention. I can not understand why people wear colors, especially black or silver helmets that blends in with the highway/road. I guess they want to end up being part of the highway/road! Color coordinating with a black or silver motorcycle is absolutely plain stupid! Think about it: Why are School buses, dividing lines/no passing lines on the highway and State, county and local highway trucks and equipment Yellow? Because the color is more visible! Ride Smart and Visible: Not color coordinated! Now I can use the coupon to buy the Bluetooth unit later to add to this great helmet when I need it. Keep up the good work Jafrum!
I bought two of these helmets one for me and the significant other. We both commented on the comfort of these helmets. I ordered the pearl yellow and the color wasn't consistent but it wasn't bad enough to send back. The red helmet did not have this problem. The set up for the vega bluetooth needs working the connector for the earphones has to go through the same hole as the back fastening point and I had to carve out the foam to get it through. All in all I really like this helmet.
First modular helmet I've used, and so far it has performed well for the money spent, just a bit more wind noise than I expected. However, I ordered a Vega mirror shield, and it does not fit the Summit 3.0. Guess I'll see how well the return policy works.
Very good quality helmet with lots of cool features. Received in pristeen condition.
Never had a modular helmet before, till now. And I would have to say I do like it a lot . The helmet fits great not to tight. No to bad with wind noise . And the build in sun viewer is great . The vents could be a little better but then again. My bike has a windshield so it kind of hard to tell. But I would recommend it to a friend. Excellent value for the money.
Heavier than I hoped for but having a modular helmet for on and off ease (I wear glasses) with the full face protection is great. The cool foam helps but a hot day is a hot day. Great for the price.
Was looking for a hi-vis yellow with sunshield, modular. Wear a 3XL. Tried Bell's new "revolution" at $200--way too tight, so sent back. Next tried Scorpian EXO 900--not only too tight, but top of face opening pressed down on my eyebrows, closing my left eye and partly closing my right eye. Pressed very firmly on my forehead as well--sent back. Also both helmet's sun shields banged down on my nose. The Vega Summit is super--a bit tight at first but after 3 or 4 hours use it feels great, also sun shield does not touch my nose. One slight complaint, pulling chin guard down requires some force to snap closed, but since it meets European safety requirements as well as USA, I am very happy. I understand that if it meets Euro standards it is as safe as a full face non-modular. YEAH!
2nd summit 3, very comfortable helmet with all the features. Newer bike so I needed the matching color, candy red does not go well with titanium and color match is pretty good. Jafrum does a great job of getting the product shipped in a very timley manner.
First and foremost I was delighted to find a helmet that fit me comfortably. Suffice to state that XXXL sized helmet are not readily available via most brick and mortar retail location unless one is prepared to pay a hefty sum for safety and comfort let alone style and functionality. With the Vega Summit 3 Modular Helmet I found a sound marriage of form, function and surprising affordability. The flip up full face mask offers ease of access coupled with the Bluetooth ready feature. The moisture wicking fabric lining makes for a snug and comfortable fit on the warmest of days. Plenty of ventilation minimizes excess sweat. The fog resistant clear protective windscreen couple with built in tinted flip down goggles makes for safe protective ride with maximum visibility regardless of light and sun glare conditions. This is a well-crafted product that was clearly engineered to reduce external wind noise thus allowing a user to focus on the sounds of the road, the engine and traffic which makes for a much safer riding experience. As a seasoned cyclist there is a number of inherent risks but this helmet helps to minimize if not eliminate some of the more troubling if not manageable challenges. My only regret was that I had a limited number of available color choices with my initial selection. Now that the full spectrum is again available in my size, I will be expanding my collection with an additional helmet purchase and the Vegas will likely be well within the realm of possibilities.
Fit good was a little hard to add my Bluetooth to it but i was able to get it in and working . I would recommend it for the price it works good.
The Vega Summit 3.0 Bluetooth Ready Modular Helmet is really great. I bought it a while ago and have waited to use it before writing a review. I love this helmet! The sizing is spot on, so be careful on your measurements. I ordered a small, my measurements being the lowest on the small side. The helmet feels tight but loosened enough after wearing awhile. The sun visor is great. However I wear my own sunglasses. I feel the visor does not go down far enough. My friend put on the helmet and did not find this problem. All a matter of taste. The helmet is air tight. I installed a two-way radio headset and had no trouble hearing or talking with it turned way down. Hearing other people talking is also not a problem. Your head feels cucooned inside the helmet. The face shield gives lots of viewing space to see. More so than my other helmet. Over all I am thrilled that I bought this helmet!!
I wear glasses, so a modular helmet is almost a necessity. The Vega goes on easy without stripping the glasses off my ears or pinching them up into my eyebrows. It's a very comfortable helmet, but not the lightest. Very good at limiting road noise, even at highway speeds. It fit to size, but watch out if you do not have a round-ish head shape. Add to this, stellar service from Jafrum, and you really can't lose.
Hope this helps
I assume you don't have Candy Red in the Summit 3.0 ??? At least that color isn't listed. Thanks...Earl
