Size Chart for the Detour Hold BLINC Bluetooth Helmet
Note: Consider going up one size as these helmets run small
Please use a cloth tape to take your measurement. It is better to have a helper do the measuring in order to get accurate measurement. The circumference of the head should be measured at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows, or at whatever point gives the largest possible measurement.
Comment: Awesome helmet! Works great and fits like a glove! Thank you Jafrums!!
Comment: Very awesome helmet!!! Bluetooth takes a bit time to learn, but is very handy. Sizing chart is on point. Would buy again!!!

Comment: Before buying this helmet I was wearing a HJC with chatterbox. The Detour is more comfortable and the Blinc bluetooth works much easier. The battery stays charged much longer than my chatterbox also. The price of this helmet makes it a super deal.
great helmet for price
Comment: Got the helmet for winter. It has worked great. Nice and warm compared to half helmet. Blue tooth works great. Have ridden to and from work 45 min each way. Music playing. 2 weeks and have not had to recharge yet.
Comment: Good solid helmet. Great sound quality. My bike is loud and I have to stop to isten to calls and texts that come in voice mode which is great and you can respond without hassle. The lens will fog slightly in the cold so you open slightly to compensate at a stop. The cheek pad is a little tight on me. I have not called back to find how to adjust.

Detour Hold Blinc Full Face Helmet.Great Helmet
Comment: Just Received the Detour Hold Blinc Helmet, It works great and fits nice too. Still trying to figure out all the features but I can tell its going to be great. I will be buying another for my wife. Music sound great and can hear the phone calls good too, Even with my super loud pipes !! Overall its an awesome helmet.
I have a Blinc Bluetooth module on a helmet now. My issues with it are that it could be louder, the battery only lays a few hours, and the recharge cable is proprietary. Does the module in this helmet address any of those?

Best Answer:I recently purchased this helmet and have had issues with the system. Charging doesn't seem to be an issue other than keep it charged up before your ride. It will not hold a charge for a long period even if turned off. When I'm still and have both my helmet linked they seem to be ultra sensitive to surrounding noises. I suspect that when I'm on the freeway it's still picking up all the street noises causing interference. I'm going to try to relocate the microphone to a better location to try and eliminate the issue. I don't know if this is helpful but having had wired units in the past location of the microphone makes a huge difference. Regards, Patrick
Before this helmet I had another one with blinc bluetooth. I thought that one could've been louder, but this is worse. Also with this one, the speaker part is located inside the inner part of chin strap so that when you put the helmet on, they're poking your face until u pull the straps down all the way so the speakers are located RIGHT BY ur ears. Perhaps that's why they decided to LOWER the volume, but personally I think it's dangerous since you can't hear anything else from outside. Can't say much about battery-my commutes are short, and I'm constantly charging it cus my older blinc one would randomly run out of battery.
I purchased the BLINC about 2 weeks ago and immediately charged the unit and and have used the Bluetooth off and on since about 5 days plus a few hours on the weekend to and from work (45 min ride one way) listening to music and phone calls. Only supposed to last for 4hours + for length of use. The unit is still functioning on that single charge... I think I'll see how long it lasts. Also riding a semi loud Harley no issue with the volume. Very happy with the choice.
I should have been a little more clear on my last answer. I really enjoy the helmet. It is my first blue tooth helmet so I cannot really give you a truly accurate review but I can tell you that I am not impressed with the charger . its a little hard to get plugged in . . I feel the phone calls are better to hear than the music although not a big issue for me because I know the music I'm listening to so I can fill the n the blanks . overall an excelle
I've found that the sound quality is Ok at low speed but because the helmet is not high quality, it doesn't shield out much road noise, I have found this with other BT helmets even in the $200 range. I have heard good things about the HJC IS-Max 2 BT ready helmet that you add the BT module. So with that said, to get BT high quality sound you need to spend the big bucks.
I bought two of these helmets. One for myself and one for my wife. The speaker is loud enough, but the mic isn't the best. If we aren't moving too fast, we can talk to each other just fine, but if we're going 70, it's hard to understand each other sometimes. The battery lasts forever. Super long life on the battery. However, the charger is proprietary.
The charge is very good and holds a long time. It's very easy to charge. When riding fast the wind can be a problem with another rider being able to hear you. GPS from a phone is hard to hear once you're going quick enough for stronger winds to interfere with sound.
No the module in this helmet is the same in my experience. I don't have a problem with the battery lasting but the volume and quality of sound is just not that great. I am looking into changing out the microphone to a boom mike to see if that helps.
The sound and battery life in this helmet are amazing. I used it on my trip to Sturgis this year. We stopped about halfway, 8 hours worth of riding and the battery lasted the entire time. I have been extremely pleased with this purchase
Hi I love the helmet for the money it's a good buy. The charger is proprietary and the charge last 5 hours or so. Helmet to helmet talk works great. The speakers are good. It's my first Bluetooth n overall I'm happy. I hope this helps.
Well First Off this is Awesome. I Wrecked My First Bike And Every Thing On The Helmet Still Works. The Speakers Are Loud And The Music Is Very Clear To Hear. I Now Ride A Harley And I Can Still Hear My Music over My Engine.
Can the bluetooth be paired with a scala rider unit for rider to passenger communication? I already have a scala rider set for my existing helmets, was hoping to be able to just replace my helmet since my passenger helmet is only lightly used.
Best Answer:The Hold helmet will not pair up with Scala Rider. The Scala Rider will only pair with other Scala rider units. The Sena SMH 10 BT set does claim that it will pair with all BT sets on the market. The downfall of the Sena is it only will connect to other units that are in the 'line of sight' of the rider.
Best Answer:Garrett, I also tried searching to no avail. Maybe "Icon" shields can mold one if model of helmet is sent to them. No harm in asking. There may be a demand for a shield for this helmet. I believe you cannot have your cake and eat it too - meaning - the price was right, unfortunately when the helmet(s) are in this price range some of the other benefits are lost such as replacement shields. You may want to consider wearing sunglasses with the helmet on. This offers you the availability to keep your eyes protected while have the shield in the open position. Check out some rider forums also there maybe some tints available, just web search it.You may have found the same things, however, I hope this helps. I am new to riding, however I love it. I am retired now after thirty two years of service. I was a Lieutenant and the Driver Engineer Instructor for the City of Miami FL Fire Department.
