Size Chart for the Modular Helmets - Vega Summit 3 Modular Helmet
Helmet Sizing Information.
To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described below.
Remember that the helmet sizing you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points.
The cheekpads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side.
Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheekpads can be purchased to obtain the perfect fit.
Head Measurement Instructions.
Wrap flexible tape measure around your head approximately on inch above eyebrows and ears. Use this measurement (in either inches or centimeters) to find your helmet size in the chart below.
Comment: This is a great helmet. The last one I used was Summit ii but this one has far exceeded my expectations of a modular helmet. The cool thing is now I can attach the bluetooth unit to this when I need it.

Jafrum Customer Service and the VEGA Pearl Yellow modular helmet
Comment: This is a great helmet. Jafrum Customer Service far exceeded my expectations for service! Jafrum went beyond what most companies, I have dealt with, would do to correct a wrong color shipment to make the customer happy (and get me on the bike, since I can not ride legally without a helmet)! The Pearl Yellow is an outstanding Color to get people's attention. I can not understand why people wear colors, especially black or silver helmets that blends in with the highway/road. I guess they want to end up being part of the highway/road! Color coordinating with a black or silver motorcycle is absolutely plain stupid!
Think about it: Why are School buses, dividing lines/no passing lines on the highway and State, county and local highway trucks and equipment Yellow? Because the color is more visible!
Ride Smart and Visible: Not color coordinated!
Now I can use the coupon to buy the Bluetooth unit later to add to this great helmet when I need it. Keep up the good work Jafrum!
Very comfortable helmet
Comment: I bought two of these helmets one for me and the significant other. We both commented on the comfort of these helmets. I ordered the pearl yellow and the color wasn't consistent but it wasn't bad enough to send back. The red helmet did not have this problem. The set up for the vega bluetooth needs working the connector for the earphones has to go through the same hole as the back fastening point and I had to carve out the foam to get it through. All in all I really like this helmet.
Vega Summit 3.0
Comment: First modular helmet I've used, and so far it has performed well for the money spent, just a bit more wind noise than I expected. However, I ordered a Vega mirror shield, and it does not fit the Summit 3.0. Guess I'll see how well the return policy works.
Vega Summit 3 Modular Helmet
Comment: Very good quality helmet with lots of cool features. Received in pristeen condition.
Vega Summit BlueTooth helmet is great
Comment: Heavier than I hoped for but having a modular helmet for on and off ease (I wear glasses) with the full face protection is great. The cool foam helps but a hot day is a hot day. Great for the price.
My big fat head!
Comment: Was looking for a hi-vis yellow with sunshield, modular. Wear a 3XL. Tried Bell's new "revolution" at $200--way too tight, so sent back. Next tried Scorpian EXO 900--not only too tight, but top of face opening pressed down on my eyebrows, closing my left eye and partly closing my right eye. Pressed very firmly on my forehead as well--sent back. Also both helmet's sun shields banged down on my nose. The Vega Summit is super--a bit tight at first but after 3 or 4 hours use it feels great, also sun shield does not touch my nose. One slight complaint, pulling chin guard down requires some force to snap closed, but since it meets European safety requirements as well as USA, I am very happy. I understand that if it meets Euro standards it is as safe as a full face non-modular. YEAH!
Vega Summit 3
Comment: 2nd summit 3, very comfortable helmet with all the features. Newer bike so I needed the matching color, candy red does not go well with titanium and color match is pretty good.
Jafrum does a great job of getting the product shipped in a very timley manner.
Vega Summit 3.0 Helmet
Comment: Great helmet' can't go wrong for the price.
What a great value
Comment: The other day I tried on several moduler helmets at my local MCycle shop, ranging in price from 150 to 500 bucks. None fit as nice as my new summit 3. Will report back after I have had a chance to us it
Great modular helmet
Comment: This helmet has the looks and feel of a MUCH more expensive one. The fit is great!! My helmet arrived the day you said it would and the service has been great. I would highly recommend this helmet for someone who is looking for a modular.

Comment: As always, Jafrum handled everything great. The helmet has been a joy to wear! Great helmet for the money. Functionality is good.
Vega Summit 3.0 Bluetooth Ready Modular Helmet Review
Comment: The Vega Summit 3.0 Bluetooth Ready Modular Helmet is really great. I bought it a while ago and have waited to use it before writing a review. I love this helmet! The sizing is spot on, so be careful on your measurements. I ordered a small, my measurements being the lowest on the small side. The helmet feels tight but loosened enough after wearing awhile. The sun visor is great. However I wear my own sunglasses. I feel the visor does not go down far enough. My friend put on the helmet and did not find this problem. All a matter of taste. The helmet is air tight. I installed a two-way radio headset and had no trouble hearing or talking with it turned way down. Hearing other people talking is also not a problem. Your head feels cucooned inside the helmet. The face shield gives lots of viewing space to see. More so than my other helmet. Over all I am thrilled that I bought this helmet!!
Vega Summit 3 Modular Helmet Review
Comment: I wear glasses, so a modular helmet is almost a necessity. The Vega goes on easy without stripping the glasses off my ears or pinching them up into my eyebrows. It's a very comfortable helmet, but not the lightest. Very good at limiting road noise, even at highway speeds. It fit to size, but watch out if you do not have a round-ish head shape. Add to this, stellar service from Jafrum, and you really can't lose.
Vega Summit 3 Hi-Viz Helmet Review
Comment: This helmet is a very good deal.. and a high quality product as well.
Vega Summit Bluetooth Helmet Review
Comment: I purchased two helmets one for my wife and one for my self. They are fine, look good just helmets. I do like the face shield can see better then my old HJC.
I did have problem getting the correct size.
Great Service From Jafrum
Comment: The Vega helmet is a nice helmet. Really a bargain at this price and certainly better quality than I expected. UNFORTUNATELY it wasn't the best fit for my large oval head. The sizing was pretty close to the dimensions listed but would be tight if your head was more oval than round. Wish they were able to offer it in a 4X-Large size.
Comment: Nice helmet. Fit perfect. Cool color...Inside visor is a little tough to put up or down, but for the most part, its fine. I'm happy with my
purchase and would deal with these guys again. The shipping time was great.Yes! Undamaged!

Nice and light
Comment: So far only complaint I have is with the visor closed it makes a knocking noise. Open it up one click and no noise. The thing fits good and is very comfortable. I am new to wearing helmets so finding a light one that fits well was a major deal. I had surgery on my head and have a big chunk of my skull is being held in with 3 little metal plates and 4mm screws. So I have started wearing a skid lid. This one is nice for the money, the sun visor is nice as well. Wish it flowed a lot more air through the vents but it does let some in at least. I do not have a windshield on my bike so a lid that dose not try and snap my head around when I turn it was something else needed. So far no head whip and is not the most quiet helmet out there I am sure but I can not see spending 600.00 for a quieter helmet. It is a lot better than having to wear my ear plugs to keep the wind out of my ears.
East Texas Tyler/Longview Area
Comment: I love the helmet. I was a little sceptic about buying this
on sale. But was not disappointed when it came. And
knowing that we can add the blue tooth to it, just
made it that much better!!! Thank You Jafrum!!!
Vega Summit 3.0 reviews
Comment: Jafrum's service, as usual was fantastic. Price on this helmet got me to order it as at some point I'd like to have bluetooth available for long rides. Color and fit were great and this helmet is feature rich, especially at the price. Unfortunately this helmet had a large amount of wind noise and I would not be able to hear speakers. Probably fine behind a large windscreen, just not in the open wind.
Vega Summit 3 Helmet Review
Comment: I got this helmet at $xx.xx with free shipping. I am very pleased with the helmet so far. The fit is true to the chart and it is very comfortable. It has thick padding and makes the overall circumference quite large. I look like a bobble-head when wearing just a T-shirt. That doesn't bother me though. Once on, the helmet is easy to operate with one hand. The internal sunshield is an awesome feature. I rode at up to 60mph and didn't experience much wind noise except when looking back. I bought the Titanium color and it looks really nice. I am very happy with this purchase.
Comment: I ordered this helmet because I had heard how great modular's were. I ride a cruiser with a windscreen and I prefer a full face helmet. The problem I had with my old full face is the visor would fog up because of insufficient airflow. This helmet came quickly was a perfect fit and I love it!! I haven't added the blue tooth set up yet but I love the fact that it's all set to go. I ride to work and home sometime and deal with the sun regularly so the drop down sunscreen is an awesome touch.
Well, OK helmet
Comment: We have had HJC helmets in the past and love them. Wanted to try this one because it had two features we liked, color (pearl Yellow) for visibility and the sun shade drop down. The wife and I bought the same sizes as we have with other brands. XL for me and L for her. Hers was way to big. In fact, both the L and XL were exactly the same fit size. No difference. On the service side, Jafrum has always been good, but this went south. It tooks months of emails to get this straightened out. They never believed that both were, in fact, the same size. I asked for a replacement in size Med., knowing full well that that would be to tight for her. They sent a shipping label, and it went back. They knew, from several emails, we wanted a replacement. Instead we got a credit for the purchase price.
On the fit and construction; this is NOT in the same class has HJC. It's lighter, cheaper feeling, the chin flip lock feels like it's going to break when you lock and un-lock it. It's about the same 'quiet' level inside. The chin bar will rub your chin when down if you have anything but a normal or receeding chin line. It's really irritating. I'm going to cut the decorative foam liner away so it will clear.
Is it a good value? Low price and workable product would be a yes. In the same class as other mid range helmets...no.

Good helmet for the money.
Comment: easy open/close, easy replace shield, interior visor easy to use, air vent on top front was broken on mine, my wife's was o.k. No big deal, just buzzes in the wind since day one. All and all , a very good modular helmet. Bought two in red, may get another in black, eventually....

Very Good Helmet
Comment: For the money, this is a very good helmet. I recently wore it on a 4,600 mile round trip ride to the west coast and it did great. The air flow ducts and sweat wicking liner kept my head fairly cool riding in the heat of the Utah and Nevada desert. The yellow helmet that I bought is VERY visible and gave me the confidence that I was being seen in traffic. Also, I rode though a couple of hours of heavy rain in Kansas and didn't have any problem with water leaking in. The only problem I've had is that the visor requires being pushed down on both sides for it to seat properly (pushing down on the tab alone doesn't get it done). I'm glad I purchased it, though.
Good value/good product
Comment: Bought this on faith as I had never purchased a helmet without trying it on. And I was very happy I did. Great price/great product.
The front opens easily so I can put the helmet on without taking my glasses off. It shots very easily and solidly. It looks like it will be easy to add the bluetooth headphones (I guess I need to figure out what are good ones to get)
The only complain I have is that the sun visor seems a little loose. Very minor and not a hazard.
Vega Summit 3 Bluetooth Ready Modular Helmet Review
Comment: I purchased this helmet with hope that it would be more convenient than current full face helmet.
It was. ( Modular may be the answer for eyeglass wearers like me!) This vega helmet is impressive with it's drop down sunshield and great finish. I have a 7 5/8 hat size
and the measurement instructions said I would need a 2x. Past experience told me (I have a kind of rectangular head- stop your laughin') past experience told me to go a size larger-- and I went with 3x. I wouldn't want it any smaller-- great fit.
At any rate-- I LIKE the helmet.
Very cheaply made
Comment: This review is for the Vega Summit 3 only and is not a reflection on Jafrum as I have never had a bad experience with Jafrum before. This helmet however is very cheaply made and of poor quality. Had to return it. Due to Jafrum's excellent customer service attitude I received a full refund.
Not nearly as large as it purports to be
Comment: Yup, I have an extraordinarily large cranium. I have another Vega helmet, an open face one, that is very roomy, even accounting for the difference between open and closed. This modular helmet, purportedly a XXXL, is far from it. I suspect that Vega has only one shell size for XL/XXL/XXL, and this one is far too small. While the tag on the helmet indicated that it was a XXXL, the sticker on the shield indicated that the line only goes up to XXL (XXXL is the largest size that Jafrum sells)
Vega Summit3 Solids Review
Comment: Nice helmet for the price, only problem is chin strap is way too short. Can't wear without quick release clasp.

Vega Summit 3 Helmet Review
Comment: Quick delivery, thanks Jafrum.
Disclaimer:I have been using Scorpion helmets for about 6 years, so that is my comparison base.
Fit was comparable, overall quality is quite good especially for the price. Weight for a modular was also good. The liner feels nice. The only area that was lacking was wind noise, but that's hardly a deal breaker for me as I always wear earplugs (you should too).
Vega Summit 3 Mod. Helmet Review
Comment: I got very lucky with this helmet, it fits perfect! Lighter than my older Modular helmets and it has a built in glare shield!
Comment: A great helmet at a great price. Loaded with features and very comfortable. Sizing chart is accurate.
vega summit 3 modular helmet Review
Comment: Hi vis color, shape and ease of movement module parts are a hit. I appreciate its lighter weight than some I"ve worn, Design allows for addition of scala rider ear pieces and microphone with ease.
Very nice helmet
Comment: Love the helmet. It's a little snug so if your size is on the edge, choose the larger size. Great deal
vega summit 3 modular helmet Review
Comment: I was pleasantly surprised at the quality of this helmet for the price I paid. it is a high function helmet with all the extras you could want. it fit well and was not too heavy. I am quite pleased with this helmet.
HATE FULL HELMETS
Comment: THIS ONE IS THE EXCEPTION, VERY COMFORTABLE AND GREAT VISABILITY AT A REASONABLE PRICE, SUPER SERVICE FROM JAFRUM AS WELL.
Best Answer:Approximately 3lbs 5 ozs - about the same as any other helmet. Half-lids are more comfortable in the heat, but don't provide the accident OR skin protection. I really love this helmet; I've got two of them!
