Looks Great, Low Price

Lightweight, great mirror quality, but from inside the view is great! I've found myself on more then one occassion lifting the sheild and getting blinded by the sun! Easy install and the optics are are geat...nice and clear...but not too bright, you'll forget that no one can see in! The price is FANTASTIC!!! Jarfum...you guys have great prices, I've paid double this for the sheild on my old HJC and the quality I find to be vasty better. Buy it...you'll be happy! (and everyone will think you are cool!)

GMAX Shield Review

I ordered a blue one and a silver one. The cool factor is outrageously ridiculous here!!! The silver one is like a mirror and the blue one is a deepest shade of cobalt and turquoise, hard to explain but the pictures do not do these shields justice. They fit perfectly. The prices are reasonable. I can see everything so well yet the sun does not hurt my eyes. It's hard to believe no one can see inside. Now I have to order a red one...! Even my hubby wants one now. Thank you Jafrum!

GMax Shield Red Mirror

Overall great shield. Looks amazing on my flat black GM54S. Optics are perfect, lets plenty of light so not too dark but cuts out heavy glare quite well. The only thing is it didn't fit as flush as the original clear on the bottom part of the helmet however there is no wind leak in the helmet so the fit is good enough. Overall great buy.

Mixed review

I bought 2 of the shields as I had scratched the original on my 54S. The clear was an exact duplicate of the original, so I can't say anything but good about that one. I also bought the mirrored shield. From an appearance standpoint, it's not bad; but i would have liked a "brighter" more "chrome-like" finish. The outward finish is a little darker than I like. Also, I was disappointed to note that from the inside, it's pretty much the same as a tinted shield, which means that for night riding it's givng you a darkened view at a time when the natural dark is already limiting your vision. I wish that they could have given us the mirrored outer finish while maintaining the clear view from from the iniside. Both shields fit as perfectly as the original. The price seemed a little bit high for a piece of plastic--aproximately 1/6 the price of the helmet. Considering how much more there is of the helmet, that seemed a little disproportionate to me.

Are any of the colored lenses clear looking from the inside? The silver seems too dark when riding at night.

Best Answer:I'm not 100% sure about this but I believe they have a clear shield. Again, not sure if it would have a mirrored surface. If it does have a mirror surface, the mirror will block about 8-10% of the available light. This I know as I work with lenses as a profession.
