Snell helmets are those who have applied for and received a Snell rating. A Snell rating is given to manufacturers who meet or exceed the safety requirements set by the Snell Memorial Foundation, Inc. This foundation is a not-for-profit organization that sets voluntary safety standards. Obtaining a Snell helmet safety standard rating is not required like the DOT rating. Snell approved helmets go through a multitude of stringent tests to ensure Snell safety standards are met. Jafrum carries Snell M2010 rated helmets in addition to Snell 2005 helmets – while all offer a higher standard of safety.
