Scorpion EXO 900 Transformer - Excellent helmet
Comment: It`s very comfortable helmet, and very easy to add the rest of the accesories.
Scorpion EXO 900 Transformer Helmet
Comment: This helmet is great for people that wear glasses. The helmet sizes are a lil smaller that the other company's so keep that in mind when ordering this manufacturers helmet but all in all it is a good buy not too much wind noise and the air bladders give you a perfect fit everytime.
Scorpion's Transformer Helmet
Comment: Great tight fit. Size chart does not reflect actually size. Go by whatever size you normally buy. Good air flow. Pump does not make much of a difference to make the helmet fit better.
Scorpion EXO 900 Transformer
Comment: Nice helmet, sizes run small. Love it. Will buy another when needed. Good vents.
Comment: The helmet really keeps the cold weather out, the flip up sun visor is nice, it is a little heavy and it takes a time to get used to the weight.
Comment: I bought this helmet because i wanted the full face , but with access of a 3/4. wind noise is not bad. I can listen to the radio. size is a bit smaller if your a long oval.
A definite step up
Comment: When I bought my 1st bike I bought a HJC helmet as it was a decent helmet at a reasonable price. So I did the same when I bought my 2nd bike, though this time I went with a modular one. When I decided that the fit was maybe a touch on the small six I tried the next size up & the bike shop suggested I try the Scorpion. It seemed to fit better, so I bought one. While the fit is still a bit iffy (I have a large, odd shaped skull) it is SO much quieter. I didn't realize you could reduce the wind noise so much. Out here on the Wet Coast (not a typo) I ride year round, so the "won't fog" claim isn't quite accurate. At 40 degrees in pouring rain, any helmet is probably going to have fogging problems but by removing the chin skirt I improved the airflow and reduced the issue without seriously compromising the noise level. So far the Scorpion is definitely a huge step up.

Scorpion EXO900 Transformer Review
Comment: Helmet fits me nicely and is very comfortable.
Best helmet by far!Scorpion EXO900 Transformer
Comment: This is my 2nd helmet, my first was peeling on the silver on the vents. The Helmet shop hooked me up with the vender at Bike Week last year and they replaced it with no problem, it was a yr old. I love this helmet and will always have a Transformer! So easy to take off the front and put the visor on. I'm up North and it keeps me warm and dry!!!! This is the best Helmet ever and I have 3 other helmets that I don't use!!!!
Very Satisified with the EXO-900
Comment: Received my Scorpion EXO-900 Transformer in three days, the usual quick delivery from Jafrum. The Hyper silver closely matches the 4 yr old EXO-200 I have and the Honda VTX1300R I ride. Scorpion helmets run small and I ordered a XL, I normally wear a Med/Lagre, as I did with the other Scorpion they fit quite tight at first but break in to fit really well. I did notice ventilation is good, wind noise is low so my Scala Rider is easy to hear, the vents are glove friendly as it the drop down sun shade which does not have the unnecessarily large cut out for your nose others have. Also would like to note the drop down sun shade is optically much better than in the other modular helmet I have. Scorpion includes a removeable panel for installation of communications systems, mentioned in the Jafrum video by Louie and mentioned by John in the Scorpion Sports video, without having to drill into the helmet shell, however one thing worth noting is the statement in the warranty "Modifications of any kind made to the helmet by the user or any third party will render this (3yr) warranty null and void. This includes but is not limited to the installation of audio systems..." I find this confusing as to why the removeabnle panel was installed in the first place. Secondly, it leads me to believe, I hope I'm wrong, that the warranty is not worth too much. So far, over all I have been pleased with Scorpion helmets the EXO being DOT approved and ECE certified, the old one being DOT Approved and Snell Certified.
Comment: Quiet and comfortable. Easy to open visor and air vents. Wish the D-ring side of the chin strap was a little longer. Also, it comes with the medium dark internal sun visor. I bought the darkest internal sun visor - but it is still not dark enough to avoid squinting on a sunny day. Perhaps use the one it comes with for a little bit, then maybe put some film on it to your darkness preference rather than buy their darker one (which isn't much darker).
WOW -should have waited for the closeout pricing
Comment: This is the first new helmet I've had since 2001. That was a half helmet so this is quite a change.
The fit is tight on the front of my head, I'm hoping it will pack out a bit. I've only worn it with the visor attached. Even so, it's not easy to pull over my melon. Especially past my ears, then I have to wiggle it back and forth so my ears flip back up!
Once on I find it to be very snug around my cheeks and ears. I have to put my sunglasses on first -they will not slide on after the helmet is on (way too tight.) I may try removing some of the side padding and see if I can make it more comfortable. I have found the air fit only adds to the ill fit around my ears and cheeks. It seems a bit gimmicky to me.
Others have said that the parts that hold the visor or face shield on have broken. So far I have not changed back and forth more than a few times so that issue will have to wait to occur. The plastic does seem somewhat flimsy.
Now that it's on closeout, I wish I had waited, but Jafrum still had the best price when I bought it.
I usually find a 7-3/4 to 7-7/8 fits well, but having read other reviews I ordered a 2XL. This should work out once it packs out at my forehead and I've removed some of the side padding (this will entail some ski-boot fitting skills.)
Really good well built helmet.
Comment: I received this EXO-900 Transformer one day before Jafrum said I would get it, I have in the past ordered gear from Jafrum and always received it ahead of schedule, they said three days and I received it in two! This is the second Scorpion helmet I own, first is an EXO-200. With the chin bar down I noticed the EXO-900 is a little tight, however the EXO-200 was tight for the first few weeks. The Transformer has an air pump to tighten up the cheek pads and collar, but I have not needed it yet. NOTE: All Scorpion helmets run small order at least one size larger. I installed a Scala Rider for music, communications, GPS and cell-phone with no problem and noise levels are really low both in open and closed positions. I have a Honda VTX1300R and there is a lot of chrome around the gauges on the tank to reflect sunlight up under your sunglasses. Which brings us to the internal sun shield, it is optically correct so there is no problem with blurred or wavy lines and blind spots as in some I have seen, it also drops down more and does not have a large unnecessary cutout for your nose therefore, it blocks the previously mentioned reflections from underneath. The ventilation is good in 80 degree weather and face shield doesn't fog up in the mountains in 40 degree weather.in the rain. In good weather above 80 degrees I 'transform' to the open face, wind noise is not a problem, actually less if you remove the chin bar than if you leave it open. Nice thing about 'transforming" is you remove about 1 pound and reduce the surface area which would catch the wind, just above the level of my windshield. This feature might not mean much on short trips but on those 8 - 10 hour rides it really makes a difference. Only thing I questioned was the fine print that said the warranty was void it a sound/audio system was installed, considering there is a special cutout installed for this purpose. I like the DOT and ESE ratings, makes me feel this helmet might be a little better at keeping my head in one piece. All in all this is another winner from Jafrum, thanks.
the best helmet
Comment: I love love love this helmet. This is my second one, it fits my head perfectly, usually the helmet chins are too far out and leaves a gap where lots of air comes in. This helmet is air tight, perfect for my winter riding. Scorpion also makes the only truly fog free visors.
how does this helmet hold up. does all the pieces break down or stay rigid?

Best Answer:This is a good helmet and has held up well, however I have only used it the full face mode.. I cannont speak to its ruggedness in the 3/4 mode. In my opinion the hemet has two disadvantages: the sun shield is on the outmost part of the helmet and is noisy when up. And secondly there is a tendancy to use it with a loose chin strap.
I ended up with a Scorpion EXO helmet which has an interior sun shield and a chin strap that must be tightly fit to strap on properly
I bought my Scorpion EXO 900 Transformer last July prior going on a 2000 mile trip. I definitely made the right choice. So far I had no problems and switching from full face to just the visor is quick and easy. I have several friends that also own this helmet, and with out question they all would buy another one if needed. To really answer your question YES they hold up great.
The helmet is made with a high degree of quality. I've had mine for about a year and a half and I love it. The modular design is always tight and snug no matter how many times I put it up and down. I've even switched out the modular piece for the 3/4 visor and back. It was simple to do and the engineering that went into this feature is top-notch.
I loved my exo900 so much I bought one for my wife and another one for my kids. I've had mine a year now with moderate use and it's held up great! Some say it's kinda heavy but I haven't noticed it being heavy and find it quite comfortable! Hope this helps!
