Comment: So here's the deal. After hours of online research and chasing down thin DOT helmet manufacturers that are now out of business; the only way to truly get the look of a novelty helmet is to buy a novelty helmet. Period. If you need (or want) a DOT helmet, you're going to have to accept some of that dreaded mushroom look. This helmet is better than most in that regard but far from perfect. For the price, it's a good deal.

Comment: Great fit, tad snug. No head wobble. Looks great and light. You get a little sweaty though when its hot!!!! Strap is touch uncomfortable and no place to pin back when your underway. Great service, fast shipping, I would buy another...

Comment: Havent tried it on the road yet so I'll just comment on look and fit. I like the matte look, fit is in line with the sizing chart and it's fairly light too. There is the mushroom look, but it's a DOT helmet so expect it. The strap could use a button to secure it because it is long and could whip you when riding. But I can cut it a little shorter or something if I need to. All in all, it's my backup and good for the money.

Comment: The helmet is everything I thought it would be. It is still a little thick in padding, but this is to be expected for DOT certification. The strap needs a snap in order to keep it from whipping you in the face and the strap is a little uncomfortable as well. Overall, I was satisfied with the product. It works well even at 80mph without a windsheild. I could imagine that it would perform even better with one.

Comment: Good lid, thicker than my last Skid Lid that had breen dropped way too many times. Kinda screws up the aesthetic but more protection I guess. Would recommend.

Feels a little high on the head; however, used to wear a novelty. appears to be good quality. Comment: Pretty much what I expected. A little tight. But I like it more than the one I paid more than double for a my favorite motorcycle dealership. It's a little less mushroomy, and I took out the inner lining, so it would come down on my head a bit and not sit up so high.

Comment: I feel like the mushroom Head is pretty big with this, and I do not think it looks close to a novelty helmet as advertised. The helmet is comfortable, but you will need to tuck the excess strap or modify it to not flap in the wind.

This one sits down nicely on my grape and has yet to cause any discomfort. My wife rides her own bike and, after riding behind me, stated it had a slimmer profile. I'm still trying to get used to the idea after 4 years of open air riding but the helmet does fit well, looks good and with a jacket and sunglasses it doesn't look very big at all, and it is very comforting to know that if some jack-hole puts me on the ground I stand a much better chance now!

Comment: Good price, but there is no way to describe it other than a mushroom look. The straps do nothing to help hide the thickness like the thick leather ones do on higher quality helmets.
