Size Chart for the Vega CFS Carbon Fiber Weave Helmet
Helmet Sizing Information.
To achieve proper helmet fitment, begin by finding your head circumference size using the method described below.
Remember that the helmet sizing you choose should fit around the crown of your head comfortably with no pressure points.
The cheekpads should fit firmly around your face. Once your chin strap is fastened, grab the chin bar of the helmet and move it side to side.
Your cheeks should move with the helmet, which should not slide across your face. Different thickness cheekpads can be purchased to obtain the perfect fit.
Head Measurement Instructions.
Wrap flexible tape measure around your head approximately on inch above eyebrows and ears. Use this measurement (in either inches or centimeters) to find your helmet size in the chart below.
Comment: the helmet is well built and comfortable. howerver, i was looking for a smaller profile and lighter helmet. the dimensions and weight are nearly the same as other half helmets.
WOW what a helmet!
Comment: I just had to let you know how awesome this helmet it. I purchased one for my wife. Today, I took it out on the bike for a spin. I fell in love with this helmet. It fits perfect and does not give me the sensation that it is blowing off, even at 80 mph! That "blowing off sensation" is what has kept me away from half helmets, but THIS helmet has changed my mind. I am ordering myself one!
The Vega CFS half helmet is DOT approved and made of a lightweight carbon
fiber material. This large size weighs in at a slight 1.85 pounds. It's
available in two finishes, a gloss and a flat black. I have to say, this might
be the first half helmet that I have ever put on my long oval head that actually
fits properly. The size chart recommends a large and sure enough, this large
applies gentle pressure to all areas of my goofy dome. This does mean, however,
that if you have a really round head shape, this helmet may not work for you.
The sides will fit very snugly and may give you a head ache over time. The
ventilation comes in the way of these two adjustable metal vent openings and
there are three snaps on the forehead for attaching a sun visor. The Cool Max
liner is not removable, but that is to keep the profile of the helmet as low as
possible, and the moisture wicking liner is still washable by submerging the
helmet. This is also one of the few half helmets that readily accepts a
communication system. Echo makes cheek pads that can be added to this helmet to
allow the installation of the
Echo Com system which is also available on this site.
