Comment: My wife and I love these. Wanted armour protection like our standard jackets, but needed ventilation in our desert 90-100+ summers. This fills the bill, together with a wet bandana. Great air flow, was noticeable even before moving when there was a light breeze. Only time we feel the heat is at stoplights. Couldn't find any others at a comparable price. Have worn them for about a month and they seem to be well constructed, given the price point!!!!

Fantastic mesh jacket for the money
Comment: I bought it when it was $69, my only regret. I measured my chest size and ordered the size and it fits perfectly. Great comfort, pockets for your stuff, cool in the hot weather.
Detour Mesh Motorcycle Jacket
Comment: I TOO BOUGHT MINE FOR THE $69 PRICE JUST THREE WEEKS AGO...Nice Jacket, no regrets.
Men's Detour Mesh Jacket
Comment: I bought this jacket and was very impressed with the design. This jacket is perfect for riding in temperatures exceeding the high 90s. Unfortunately, I had to send it back due to sizing issues.

Great summer riding jacket.
Comment: This is a very comfortable jacket. It fits me like a glove, everywhere but the cuffs, which are a little too small for my hands. But it's cool and otherwise comfortable, so I'm liviing with it. Delivered on time and would recommend it highly.

Men's Detour Mesh Motorcycle Jacket
Comment: Great Jacket, and I agree that it is perfect for hot weather...The meshing displaces the moving air very well throughout the jacket while riding, and I still get a kick out of how it can make the humid Florida weather somewhat cooler on many rides.. The cuffs are a little snug, but only when you are putting the jacket on or taking it off... Great value for the price..
Comment: Purchased this for warm weather riding so I am not tempted to ride without protection. The quality is surprisingly high. A light jacket underneath allows for rideing into the 60's. Delivery was quick.Jafrum is THE place for riding gear.

Men's Detour Mesh Motorcycle Jacket
Comment: It is true to size and is lightweight. It does let the air flow through it to keep you cool. I got it while it was on sale which is an added bonus. I recommend it.
Comment: I ordered this jacket, it arrived promptly, fit well, was cool and comfortable, and it had all of the features described. I'm very happy with my purchase.
Detour Leather Jacket 8015
Comment: It's a nice jacket. The sizing instructions are correct. Lots of air flow, I think it will be nice in the warmer weather. (got mine in fall and have been wearing with another jacket underneath)
Great Summer Jacket
Comment: I purchased this jacket to battle the humid summers in the Virginia Beach area. It is very comfortable and the protective armor does not feel stiff like other jackets I've tried. The cuffs are tight but it wasn't a deal breaker for me. I'm 6'-1" and weight approx. 180 and I bought the large which fits well but could be a little longer on the sleeves. I typically wear a 38" sleeve length and this seems like a 37". I will keep it because it fits well everywhere else and I don't think it will help with the cuff size. Overall, very good jacket for the price.
Detour Mesh Jacket
Comment: Fit like a glove. Everything Jafrum said it would be. Almost like wearing nothing, very comfortable and "breezy." Highly recommend for summer biking.
Perfect summer jacket
Comment: I just received this jacket Jafrum shipped it fast like always.
Comment: Bought this for my summer riding in southern Arizona. It offers armor where you need it while still allowing air in. Follow the sizing guide and it should fit perfectly. Highly recommended for the warmer climates.
Hot Weather Gear
Comment: Bought this jacket strictly for protection in hot weather. Jacket breathes very nicely yet still gives protection with CE armor. Have worn in 100 deg+ weather and it does what I expected. You still get warm but good airflow makes it bearable. Sizing a little off, order next size larger for good fit.
Men's Detour Mesh Motorcycle Jacket
Comment: This jacket is a great starter, summer jacket. It stays considerably cool. Although I would like a little bit more armor on the elbows, shoulders, and a more back padding, I think this is a great jacket. Worth every spent dollar.
Men's Detour Mesh Jacket Review
Comment: For years I rode in the summer with just a tee shirt, wondering how others wore jackets. After sliding down the asphalt, I decided I was too old for road rash anymore. The jacket is Great! I've rode with it on in 90+ and it may be cooler that just a tee shirt. Great jacket, Great price!
Detour Jacket Review
Comment: Excellent value. Found that the wrists were very tight on the size the chart suggested. Returned was quick and easy. Next size up fits great.

Detour 8015 Jacket Review
Comment: Like the jacket, rode in hot 90 degree weather and felt good while moving, when standing it gets hot. One morning in 60 degree weather was even a bit chilly. So far I'm happy with it.
Detour 8015 Mesh Jacket
Comment: I have to say I was somewhat skeptical of what I was going to get for the price, but I thought I'd take a chance. After a month and a half of use, I'm glad I took the chance. I received the jacket just as the Chicago area was doing it's annual 'Miami in July' imitation. 90-100F and 85-95% humidity. Wearing the jacket was like riding with AC, except at stoplights. Then I was miserable, just like everyone else.8-)
My initial reaction to the jacket was that the waist was too short and the cuffs were too tight. Then I sat on my bike and understood the short waist. No need to hike up the jacket. I imagine that the tight cuffs are there to try and keep the armor somewhat in place if you decide to test it. Hope I never have to.
I might get a second one

Good fit, vents heat well
Comment: This jacket is great for high temperature riding, when you hold it up, you can actually see light going through the fabric material, that means when you ride, you will feel the wind blowing through you which is great on a hot California summer. The armor padding are there, but they are not of those typical hard armor, I think they are made of very dense foam, which I question it's ability to weather the initial shock of the impact, another thing I worry is the ability to resist sliding damage, the material look like it will not last long against the pavement.
But I guess this is the drawback of being cool (as in not hot) But still, any armor is better than no armor.
It's inexpensive and does the job.
Comment: We just went on a cross most of the country motorcycle trip. This jacket was really a good investment for us. It was great for all weather conditions because when it was colder, we would put fleece underneath it and when it was rainy, we would put the frog togs on with it. It would be good to buy a size larger than you would normally purchase. I did experience some discomfort with my jacket at the neckline. On both sides, the metal portion that holds the zipper on the jacket had sharp points poking out that would hit me and poke into my skin. The first night of our trip, my boyfriend had a multi-tool/leatherman and was able to solve the difficulty.

Detour 8015 men's mesh jacket review
Comment: Highly recommend this jacket. For the price you can't beat the value and quality. I followed the measurement guide and got a large. I'm 5'10' and 185, medium athletic build. Fit perfectly. Sleeves are a bit snug and require a little elbow grease to get out of, but the jacket is perfect for warm/hot weather riding. When you are moving the jacket vents very well, and heat wicks away. I wish they offered a blue color to match my Honda shadow Aero, but the black and silver color works fine for me. Sleeve and waist snap adjusters make for a nice tailored, wind efficient fit.
Detour 8015 Mesh Jacket Review
Comment: Liked the product very much ordered one size larger and fits perfectly. The Jacket is made very well and fits my needs for a warm but not cold days. Would highly recommend this Jacket to anyone.
Comment: The quality is good but I had to sell it to a friend. I am 6'1" and 240 usually wear an XL so ordered 1 size over. It was just a bit to small for me, a little short it the sleeves. My buddy is very happy with it ... ordered another style but that's a different review
Detour 8015 Mesh Jacket Review
Comment: Great summer jacket. Looks good and very comfortable. Ordered one size larger and fits perfect. Cuffs are super tight though but they give a little with wear and intentional stretching. You can feel the air flow just walking around or a slight breeze sitting at a stop sign. No hurry to take it off when you,re done riding.
Detour8015 Mesh Jacket with CE Armor Review
Comment: This is my first motorcycle jacket, so not sure how it stacks up against others, but it seems to be made well, especially for the price. I bought for warm weather riding and the mesh seems to breath well. Not sure how will fare in cooler weather. Maybe I'll have to order a textile or leather jacket for cool/cold weather riding. Wish is that it was offered in red to match my ride. Only shortcoming is that it is a little snug around the waist for my dunlop gut, but then again, tht is my problem, not theirs.
Nice for the price
Comment: Jacket is of very good quality armour is not bulky at all like some jackets. As others have said the cuffs are a little tight. Jacket of a very good value
Great warm weather mesh jacket
Comment: I purchased the Men's Detour Mesh Motorcycle Jacket with CE Armor 8015 to complement the vented leather MJ403 I also ordered from Jafrum, so that I could extend my riding season as long as possible while remaining well-protected. The fit was just right, and the comfort level is spot on too. An added benefit is that I also separately bought some mesh armored riding pants, and this jacket will snap right into them,. making it almost one-piece protection. Jafrum has lots of great mesh jackets on their site, but this one is a choice that you'll be certainly pleased with.Richard
Detour Mesh Jacket 8015 Review
Comment: This is a great buy!. High tech armor and a great looking jacket. When it's a little cool for a mesh
jacket I just wear a wind breaker or heavy wool shirt under it. People like it. For the price and quality you
can't loose! Used sizing chart and it fit perfectly.

Great Jacket for the Money
Comment: I just got my jacket a few days ago and it's June in Savannah, GA. It was in the 90's today and the jacket was very comfortable. The mesh allows adequate air flow to keep you cool. The wrist are very tight though. If you have large wrists and/or large hands, you may want to pass on this one. The only thing I'd add is another inner pocket and belt loops for jeans. Other than that, for $xx this is an excellent buy. You won't be disaapointed.
Asphalt doesn't get softer just because it's hot out. Well actually it does,
technically, I guess; but it still hurts if you bounce off of it without the
proper gear on. A mesh jacket is the perfect way to stay protected on hot days.
Most mesh motorcycle jackets
start at around 120 bucks. The Detour 8015 is on sale exclusively on Jafrum.com
for fifty nine dollars and ninety nine cents. I'm not even sure how that's
possible, but it's true.
The 8015 is constructed out of a lightweight nylon mesh fabric that is really
soft compared to a lot of mesh jacket materials. This black and silver jacket
has reflective piping for greater visibility and the collar has a padded ridge
that prevents irritation.
The outer front pockets have zippered closures for added security and there is
an interior pocket with a hook and loop style closure.
Despite this jacket's ultra-light weight, The 8015 still offers some protection.
It has removable CE approved armor in both the elbows and shoulders and a
removable foam back pad. There is also a universal zippered pant connector.
Connecting your pants to your jacket provides extra protection for your lower
The 8015 is very adjustable. There is a hook and loop belt at the waist that
adjusts to your preference. This keeps the waist of your jacket fitting snuggly
to your body. The sleeves are adjustable to three positions. This is a really
important feature on a mesh jacket. As the air passes through this mesh material
it gets caught on the backside of the arm by the armor. This will cause a very
intense buffeting of the jacket at speed. By snugging up the arms you eliminate
the flapping arm material making the jacket much more comfortable. This feature
also adds to the safety of the jacket by holding the armor in place. The cuffs
of the sleeves have adjustable straps for a secure fit although they're already
very snug. In fact, some riders with very large hands may find this jacket a
little bit tough to get off.
