Recently, motorcycle apparel style has seen a push toward gear that looks more like clothes you would wear on the street. This Speed and Strength Lunatic Fringe Mesh Jersey is a whole new approach to this style trend. This is a great choice for the rider that often wears the gear of their favorite sports teams. In fact, this thing looks a lot like a shortened hockey jersey to me. There is no zipper or main closure of any kind. This actually has benefit to the rider more than just style. With no main closure, the jersey lays flat against your body regardless of your riding position.
This jersey is available in three graphic options, including this gray, a lighter gray, and red. The fit is very generous, to give it that street style. Remember, though, this baggier cut is going to give the armor a little bit of room to move around, even with the snap style adjusters set to the tightest position. That means that this jersey is probably best suited to around town riding, and would not be your best option for touring or performance riding. There is additional adjustment at the waist to manage buffeting and airflow, with these two position snap style straps.
So you heard me mention armor. This jersey has CE rated Vault armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back. If you are not the armor type, or you need to clean your jersey, the armor is easily removable.
Some of the comfort features include a soft, v style collar, Lycra cuffs with thumb holes, and a soft, fixed mesh liner for added mobility and improved airflow.
As far as the look of the jersey, the graphics are all sublimated, meaning they are permanently part of the fiber. They aren’t going to fade, crack, or flake off. You have Speed and Strength blazoned boldly across the chest with their motto Faster/Stronger hidden among the graphics on the sleeve. The lunatic Fringe name is hidden in a similar way on the front and back of the jersey, with the SS logo found again on the asymmetrical sleeve.
