The Under the Radar Mesh jacket is one of four strong mesh offerings from Speed and Strength for this season. This is a great choice for someone looking for a quality name brand mesh riding jacket that isn’t covered head to toe in branding and graphics. The chassis is made of a polyester material S/S calls Fierce Mesh, making it ideal for warm to hot weather riding. They’re available in five colors including blue, red, black, green, and silver, and the simple style will look good with a lot of different styles of bikes and gear. These jackets have a pretty full cut, but are adjustable, so they will fit a lot of body types. There’s a sizing chart on our website to help you establish your fit. Adjustability is very important with a full mesh jacket because a snug fit is necessary to reduce buffeting. As the air passes through the jacket’s breathable shell, it catches on the armor, making the jacket buffet, or flap, sapping you of energy. The under The Radar jacket has adjustability at the waist, in the form of these hook and loop straps, and on the arms, with these three position snap adjusters. You also get adjustability at the cuffs, with hook and loop adjusters and microfiber lining. The main closure zipper is YKK and if you open the jacket up, you can see the fixed mesh liner that promotes airflow and mobility. Storage is fairly minimal on the jacket, with just the two hand warmer pockets. But remember, this jacket is designed to be as lightweight as possible, so the less panels and closures the better. If we look around the chassis of the Under The Radar Jacket, we can see some decorative piping on the shoulders and a silicone printed logo. There is another of the same type of logo on the back of the jacket at the bottom. The only other branding is at the bottom of the front at the waist in the form of this riveted tag. Protection comes from CE approved armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back, and there are loops in the rear of the jacket to hook to your belt. There is also hi viz piping across the back to increase your visibility in low light riding conditions.
