Awesome jacket, more than I expected. Little snug in the belly but rest is good. Thanks Jafrum

I figured I would try this since it was on closeout for $50. I am a short male at 5'5" but built pretty average so its hard to find stuff that fits me right. I was looking to replace another large jacket that pushed up too much when I sat down. The hellbender in medium is about the same size, but fits around my torso a little more snug, has straps to tighten arms and waist so it helps keep everything in place. My wife also noted she likes the white stripe and reflective lines for visibility. Also like the neck strap that snaps, and the vents really do help cool you off. Overall it feels very high quality for the price I paid, the back pad seems like a cheap piece of foam but its about the same thickness and density as the CE stuff. I will say, my other jacket started to unravel at the cuff zipper on my left arm after about 3 weeks of riding, this one has held up great so far. All the materials seem sturdy and high quality. Overall it seems like a great jacket with a lot of features of the higher end stuff.
This is a great jacket. The fit was perfect and it should be a comfortable wear for cold and wet riding. The armor is bulky and makes for difficult movement, but it can be removed. This will be a great asset for long rides. Thanks Jafrum for a great product.
neck collar is little tight, but that is the ONLY thing negative I can say about the jacket .. a great bargain on a class A protection
I had a pretty bad wreck in this jacket. I took out a 10" tree at the root and only broke my T-7 vertebrae and my lower right leg in 2 places. I am alive and walking thanks to this jacket and my helmet. I wear this jacket in a 4X and it was my mid-winter/early spring go to. If I can find it again in 4X I will definitely be getting another one.
This is a well made jacket with all the features one wants in motorcycling. It is comfortable and fits very well. It offers protection in all the critical areas, shoulders, elbows and back. It has a zip-out lining and with the velcro straps on the wrists and waist, cold weather riding is possible. I like the wide reflective stripes. I think they're much better than the reflective piping on some jackets.
I got this for my husband for Christmas and he was thrilled. I had read previous reviews which stated that you should order a size larger and they were right on! Great quality and was received very quickly!
I am very pleased with this jacket. I ordered an xl which was one size larger and it fits perfect. I feel much safer with this jacket.
Very happy with the jacket, fit, and features lived up to my standards, especially at the price point (sale $59) At 5'8" 170 lbs the large is perfect. I'm very happy with the products I've bought from Jafrum (half dozen at least) Fast shipping too!
Ordered one size larger as per other customer input....fit is good...quality much better than I expected for the price...used one time on a cool day and was pleased with comfort level....would recommend to anyone on a budget or a beginning rider.......good stuff from Jafrum
I purchased my Hellbender jacket a few months ago and like it very much. The jacket is well made and for the price you just can not beat it. This is my third MC jacket from Jafrum and have liked all 3 of them.
I've had this jacket a few years now. I ride a cruiser and I find the wind gathers in the leather upper area and lifts the jacket. Even with the vents open. Sometimes the wind pushes out of the neck hole and pushes up on my helmet. Not comfortable at all. I like the jack otherwise, it's just not great on a cruiser. I guess if I were leaning forward on a sport bike it might be different?
Great jacket! Light weight and warm.
This is my first motorcycle jacket. Was a little leary due to cheap price. I was wrong. Great fit, great construction, very warm with the liner. Would definatly buy again and will definatley try the pants to go with it..
For the price you won't find a better motorcycle jacket anywhere. Warm and comfortable on a cold mornng ride to work. Very well made and it looks nice too.
Great product for the price. Be careful with choosing the size. I normally take a 2XL but with this jacket the 3XL was a much better fit.
Bought this Jacket from Amazon. Arrived much earlier than excepted. Good stuff amazon. 1] You will need a size bigger than you usually wear. I am a L but would need a XL, so decided to take off the inner lining (nothing of use than to store you wallet, papers? etc. Without the lining it now fits well. 2] the arm, shoulder Armor are hard plastic, not bad, feel protected. The back protector I presume are pads?? Could be better 3] Jacket is nice, top is leather and below that (chest down) is heavy duty material (mesh). 4] Multiple zippers for air-flow. I like this jacket, and felt air flow thru riding even on a 95 F day. You will feel safe riding in this. Some protection better than nothing, I guess. Pretty decent product for the price...Would recommend this. But remember to get a size larger than you would normally wear...if not then the inner liner can be taken off...
This is my first motorcycle jacket. I was concerned about the tightness of the sleeves when it first arrived. But, now that I've been riding with it on, it has losened up a bit and is very comfortable. Great quality, very warm in 45+ temps with liner. Looking forward to it warming up and trying it out without the liner.
Nice synthetic jacket for the price. Definitely for moderate to cool temp riding. Not for summer use with 85 degree + days and humidity... Recommendable product. I ordered one size up from my normal size & it fit well.
I've had mine for 2 years and just tested it's capabilities with a 30 mph low-side crash on my left side. Seam in sleeve opened up, fabric is frayed and shoulder pads are scuffed, but my upper body wasn't injured at all. All that armor and padding worked very well. Good for warm/cool weather without liner and cold with.
The MJ461 is constructed using water and abrasion resistant nylon and features strips of high viz material across the chest and down the sleeves. This jacket is available in sizes small to 4XL and the main closure consists of a durable nylon zipper and a snap down, padded, Euro style collar. There are zippered vents on each breast and zippered hand warmer pockets at the waist. Adjustability is plentiful on the MJ461. There are hook and loop adjusters at the waist with stretch panels behind them, and snap down adjusters on the forearms. The cuffs feature zippered gussets for easy on and off and a hook and loop strap for adjustability. The shoulders, elbows, and back feature CE approved armor, and there is additional soft padding in the shoulders and traps that is stitched right into the shell. The back of the jacket features a ¾ width zippered vent and more high-viz striping. Unzipping the shell exposes a full sleeve, quilted thermal liner that is flanked on the left by this hidden zippered pocket. The liner itself features an additional pocket system for storing multiple types of smaller items. Remove it, and you can see the polyester liner that hides the taped waterproof liner behind it. Also inside this jacket at the lower back, is a zippered panel for attaching a pair of riding pants.
