Purchased this for warm weather riding so I am not tempted to ride without protection. The quality is surprisingly high. A light jacket underneath allows for rideing into the 60's. Delivery was quick.Jafrum is THE place for riding gear.

This is a great buy!. High tech armor and a great looking jacket. When it's a little cool for a mesh jacket I just wear a wind breaker or heavy wool shirt under it. People like it. For the price and quality you can't loose! Used sizing chart and it fit perfectly.
Jacket is of very good quality armour is not bulky at all like some jackets. As others have said the cuffs are a little tight. Jacket of a very good value
Liked the product very much ordered one size larger and fits perfectly. The Jacket is made very well and fits my needs for a warm but not cold days. Would highly recommend this Jacket to anyone.
Looks good. Recovering from crash, so haven't tried yet. Would have more skin now if had it before the crash
Great jacekt. Husband loves. Fit is great. Keeps you cool while riding.
Excellent value. Found that the wrists were very tight on the size the chart suggested. Returned was quick and easy. Next size up fits great.
Bought this for my summer riding in southern Arizona. It offers armor where you need it while still allowing air in. Follow the sizing guide and it should fit perfectly. Highly recommended for the warmer climates.
I just received this jacket Jafrum shipped it fast like always.
Fit like a glove. Everything Jafrum said it would be. Almost like wearing nothing, very comfortable and "breezy." Highly recommend for summer biking.
It is true to size and is lightweight. It does let the air flow through it to keep you cool. I got it while it was on sale which is an added bonus. I recommend it.
I bought it when it was $69, my only regret. I measured my chest size and ordered the size and it fits perfectly. Great comfort, pockets for your stuff, cool in the hot weather.
I just got my jacket a few days ago and it's June in Savannah, GA. It was in the 90's today and the jacket was very comfortable. The mesh allows adequate air flow to keep you cool. The wrist are very tight though. If you have large wrists and/or large hands, you may want to pass on this one. The only thing I'd add is another inner pocket and belt loops for jeans. Other than that, for $xx this is an excellent buy. You won't be disaapointed.
I purchased the Men's Detour Mesh Motorcycle Jacket with CE Armor 8015 to complement the vented leather MJ403 I also ordered from Jafrum, so that I could extend my riding season as long as possible while remaining well-protected. The fit was just right, and the comfort level is spot on too. An added benefit is that I also separately bought some mesh armored riding pants, and this jacket will snap right into them,. making it almost one-piece protection. ||Jafrum has lots of great mesh jackets on their site, but this one is a choice that you'll be certainly pleased with.||Richard
This is my first motorcycle jacket, so not sure how it stacks up against others, but it seems to be made well, especially for the price. I bought for warm weather riding and the mesh seems to breath well. Not sure how will fare in cooler weather. Maybe I'll have to order a textile or leather jacket for cool/cold weather riding. Wish is that it was offered in red to match my ride. Only shortcoming is that it is a little snug around the waist for my dunlop gut, but then again, tht is my problem, not theirs.
Great summer jacket. Looks good and very comfortable. Ordered one size larger and fits perfect. Cuffs are super tight though but they give a little with wear and intentional stretching. You can feel the air flow just walking around or a slight breeze sitting at a stop sign. No hurry to take it off when you,re done riding.
The quality is good but I had to sell it to a friend. I am 6'1" and 240 usually wear an XL so ordered 1 size over. It was just a bit to small for me, a little short it the sleeves. My buddy is very happy with it ... ordered another style but that's a different review
Highly recommend this jacket. For the price you can't beat the value and quality. I followed the measurement guide and got a large. I'm 5'10' and 185, medium athletic build. Fit perfectly. Sleeves are a bit snug and require a little elbow grease to get out of, but the jacket is perfect for warm/hot weather riding. When you are moving the jacket vents very well, and heat wicks away. I wish they offered a blue color to match my Honda shadow Aero, but the black and silver color works fine for me. Sleeve and waist snap adjusters make for a nice tailored, wind efficient fit.
We just went on a cross most of the country motorcycle trip. This jacket was really a good investment for us. It was great for all weather conditions because when it was colder, we would put fleece underneath it and when it was rainy, we would put the frog togs on with it. It would be good to buy a size larger than you would normally purchase. I did experience some discomfort with my jacket at the neckline. On both sides, the metal portion that holds the zipper on the jacket had sharp points poking out that would hit me and poke into my skin. The first night of our trip, my boyfriend had a multi-tool/leatherman and was able to solve the difficulty.
This jacket is great for high temperature riding, when you hold it up, you can actually see light going through the fabric material, that means when you ride, you will feel the wind blowing through you which is great on a hot California summer. The armor padding are there, but they are not of those typical hard armor, I think they are made of very dense foam, which I question it's ability to weather the initial shock of the impact, another thing I worry is the ability to resist sliding damage, the material look like it will not last long against the pavement. But I guess this is the drawback of being cool (as in not hot) But still, any armor is better than no armor.
Asphalt doesn't get softer just because it's hot out. Well actually it does, technically, I guess; but it still hurts if you bounce off of it without the proper gear on. A mesh jacket is the perfect way to stay protected on hot days. Most mesh motorcycle jackets start at around 120 bucks. The Detour 8015 is on sale exclusively on Jafrum.com for fifty nine dollars and ninety nine cents. I'm not even sure how that's possible, but it's true.
The 8015 is constructed out of a lightweight nylon mesh fabric that is really soft compared to a lot of mesh jacket materials. This black and silver jacket has reflective piping for greater visibility and the collar has a padded ridge that prevents irritation.
The outer front pockets have zippered closures for added security and there is an interior pocket with a hook and loop style closure.
Despite this jacket's ultra-light weight, The 8015 still offers some protection. It has removable CE approved armor in both the elbows and shoulders and a removable foam back pad. There is also a universal zippered pant connector. Connecting your pants to your jacket provides extra protection for your lower back.
The 8015 is very adjustable. There is a hook and loop belt at the waist that adjusts to your preference. This keeps the waist of your jacket fitting snuggly to your body. The sleeves are adjustable to three positions. This is a really important feature on a mesh jacket. As the air passes through this mesh material it gets caught on the backside of the arm by the armor. This will cause a very intense buffeting of the jacket at speed. By snugging up the arms you eliminate the flapping arm material making the jacket much more comfortable. This feature also adds to the safety of the jacket by holding the armor in place. The cuffs of the sleeves have adjustable straps for a secure fit although they're already very snug. In fact, some riders with very large hands may find this jacket a little bit tough to get off.
