My son-in-law likes his River Road Sedona Mesh Jacket we got him for his birthday. He can wear the mesh in the summer, not get as hot as the leather style and still be protected.
This is a real nice jacket. Mesh is cool when it is hot out and the liner is amazingly warm. I love the outside pockets and the large interior one, in which I carry a cloth back pack. Fits well too.
I bought this jacket for hot summer Houston, TX weather riding and I am very satisfied. Even on hot days you can feel the air moving through the mesh, keeping you cool while providing much more protection then just a shirt. It is a lot more rugged than I thought it would be and for the money you can't go wrong. I never ride without protection and this fits the bill.
For the money you can't go wrong. Well made and the liner is very warm, perfect for fall and spring riding. Unless you like to spend a lot of money or you want a jacket that looks like Mikey Jackson or you need a disigner label, there is no reason not to buy this jacket.
I bought this jacket for warm/hot weather riding and aI am very satisfied. Even on hot days you can feel the air moving through the mesh, keeping you cool while providing much more protection then just a shirt. The liner will come in handy for cooler weather.
This is a great looking jacket. The liner is very warm and should only be needed on cool days. As other reviews stated you need to go a size larger. I would suggest to go TWO sizes larger than the sizing chart if you like room to move. I am 250 pounds with a 50" chest and the 2XL is quite snug.
I'm 6'2" and 210 pounds with a 44 inch chest and bought the Xl and it fits great. I just rode 3700 miles from Texas to California and back and this jacket performed flawlessly. I love having some protection but still get to feel the breeze through the mesh; all the while looking good.
The Sedona riding jacket from River Road is a great option for the rider looking for a name brand, value priced mesh for the street. The Sedona is constructed of a highly breathable polyester mesh and features a removable full sleeve thermal liner for seasonal versatility. It’s available in two color ways; this black with gray panels across the chest, arms, and back, and an all-black version. This jacket is available in sizes small to 3XL for the men, and the cut is very generous. There is plenty of room available for layering. In fact, if you plan on using this jacket only in the hot weather, with the liner removed, wearing only a t-shirt underneath, you may want to go down a size from your normal. This jacket is also available in ladies sizes small to two X.
Now, this is a very basic jacket. This is going to be a great choice for you riders that like there gear to be as simple as possible. There is no branding or patchwork, sleeve take-ups, or sophisticated multilayer liner systems here. It’s just the essentials.
Adjustability comes in the form of hook and loop pully straps at the waist, and hook and loop adjustable cuffs. Protection is had by way of removable EVA foam padding in the shoulders, elbows, and back, that can be upgraded to any CE rated armor you like. There is also a zippered pants connection tendon to protect the skin of your lower back, and a small strip of hi-viz piping to increase visibility. Storage is plentiful, with two hand warmer pockets and multiple hook and loop pockets located in the removable liner and in the shell itself. There is a zippered pocket located in the shell just inside the vinyl main closure zipper. Subtle details include a micro fiber lined collar and cuffs, and a hook and loop pull tab retainer for the main closure.
