No need for any mounting hardware or support brackets. Just put under passenger seat over the rear fender and tie-down to the motorcycle
frame using the attached tie-downs on each saddle bag. These are designed not to flop around in the wind or get into the rear wheel and also to
give adequate leg space for the passenger. Each saddlebag is treated for water resistant. They are going to haul a lot of stuff and will last many
years to come. Each penny you spend with these jafrum motorcycle saddlebags is worth more than a penny !!
Comment: I love these! I got them and put 'em on and went ridin'. They were empty and started flipping up in the wind, so I pulled over and put a brick in each one. I would always have them packed. They were rubbing on my SOFTAIL axle bolts, so I made some little brackets for $10. I just hand bent 3 feet of 3/16 round strock. You may not need brackets. They work great and look freakin' SWEET!...You won't believe how cool they are...and the price?INCREDIBLE!

Saddlebags fit my VTX 1800s
Comment: I ordered these bag prior to a trip down the Blue Ridge Parkway. I was very pleased with the quality of the bags - especially at this price. I would recommend the bags to anyone interested in increasing the storage capacity of their bike. I ride a VTX 1800s and the bags fit very well. I have received many compliments on the looks of the bags and would buy them again without any hesitation.

Leather Saddlebags SD44111Studs
Comment: This is a very nice and reasonably priced piece of equipment. I goofed by ordering a set of saddlebags too large for my motorcycle. Wish they would have fit as I would have loved them. Next time I'll measure before ordering. The mis size was solely my error.

Slanted Saddlebags with Studs
Comment: These saddlebags look great on my bike and are twice the size of the last pair. They touch my exhaust, so I put heat tape on the bottom, covered the tape with bolted on sheet aluminum, and painted it with black grill paint. This worls great and allows me to have the jumbo bags that I wanted. You won't find a better bag for the money. I will definately be back to buy more.
Comment: I enjoy these bags they worked great . I took a run to Ca. at the 1st of the month . They worked great.

Big Bags on my 2000 883 Sportster
Comment: My friend thought I was nuts for getting such huge saddlebags for my 2000 883 Sportster. I wanted big ones to travel with and I carry lots of stuff even for around town riding, I dont even have to pack stuff neatly in these bags- just throw it in and ride. They are beautiful and easy and were here in 3 days! My Sporty looks like a bagger now lol. Another reason I love them is that they're waterproof. I have not seen any I like better than these for my bike.
Best Answer:Yes, I made my own, but you can get the universal support brackets fairly inexspensive. I also made a solid template of the outter wall and top of the lid and attached them on the inside with srews that matched the studs. Some studs I replaced with the scews to hold the templates so the bags will keep their shape. Very nice bags and they hold alot. Jafrum is great with fast shipping and great prices. I have 3 bikes and bought all my saddlebages from them.
Support brackets weren't needed per the write up but I would recommend them . The bags fit close to the bike but at highway speeds they tend to flare up a bit. Also the tie down strings are not all that great. I recommend a few zip ties just for peace of mind. Otherwise great bags for the price !!!
I say they need the bracket. It is so hard to find something to tie the bags down to. Yes the bracket keeps the bags off of my rear springs- a little bit...but the bags are so huge.... I have a Sportster and my bags are tied onto the passenger foot pegs in front and the bracket in back.
