These by far are great pants. Worth 2-3 times as much. I bought a pair for myself & my pillion, my wife! These will make our out of town rides a warm one. Will also work in NY.

"Aussie winter"

by - verified purchaser
"Have had these pants for the last 2mths right in the middle of our winter... excellent warmth and water proofing spent two hours on a freeway bucketing down with rain... stayed warm and dry...... only problem is the lining rips away from the shell very easily around the cuffs at the bottom... but for $50 US I can't complain... I reckon I will get at least 3 more winters out of them..."

"Great pants at a great bargain price."

by - verified purchaser
"I live just north of Victoria, British Columbia and the area I live in qualifies as a rainforest for a reason. We can get rain every day for a month sometimes. I tested these pants and they kept me warm and dry -Despite a minor rip in the material holding the liner in the left pantleg I love these so much I will be buying another pair for my wife. Incredible bargain."

"Good-quality at bargain price."

"These pants are strong & will keep you warm in cold weather. I rode 4 hrs in sunny 34 degree weather fine. The weak point are the ankle strings that fasten the liner to the shell. Taking-off your pants, they will break easily if you try to ram your foot out rather than nudge it out. All-in-all a very good product considering the price."

"Pleasantly surprised of just how warm these pants are. You wear them with the detachable liner and go from the outside cold into a building and it won't take long for your legs to sweat. Absolutely satisfied with this purchase"

"Great Quality Pants"

by - verified purchaser
"I have not worn them in the rain yet but did ride on a 27 degree morning in total comfort over jeans. The quality seems great for the price. They're cut a bit long but are fine with boots."

"WOW!!!"

by - verified purchaser
"These came in today and I had a chance to wear them in 50 degree weather. I had read others say they were comfortable in the 40s with out the liner. They were right! coming home tonight 50 degrees, dark, and damp. Definitely worth twice what you pay for these. Jafrum, you have a very satisfied customer."

"Great pants!"

"These can't be beat for the money! Decent padding, including in the thigh area, and armor that feels solid enough for a slide. They are true to size. Feel very warm and versatile, can't wait to wear them!"

"Perfect for Office Worker"

by - verified purchaser
"I work in an office and showing up in jeans or keeping a spare set of clothes at work just doesn't cut it. These pants are warm (autumn riding), slip well over dress pants/boots, and enable me to show up ready for the work day. Love having durable pants that can take abrasion better than jeans, and was struck with the design (hook-loop covering zippers), removable liner, and aggressive pricing. Jafrum is now on my short-list of accessory suppliers."

The LP2821 Riding Pants is one of the best values in riding pants you’ll find. Similar name brand pants can go for more than three times the money. They’re made of a high grade, water resistant poly-nylon blend with reinforced ballistic panels in the knees. They come in black and are available in sizes extra small thru five-X. and are sized to be worn as regular pair of pants. If you would like to wear these as overpants, measure your waist while wearing whatever you plan on wearing under your riding pants. Billy B.A., here, is 5”10”, 160, with a 32” waist, and is wearing a size medium with no jeans on underneath and the liner installed.

They’ve really nailed the feature design on the 2821’s. This pant design accommodates all different shapes of riders and different riding positions, as a result of the belt adjusted stretch panels on each side of the waist, as well as the stretch panels in the upper seat and the knees.

They have also done a very good job of keeping the water out, despite the lack of waterproof zippers. The main closer is protected on the outside by this combination snap and hook and loop cover flap. Inside the zipper is a gusset that’s waterproof thanks to the taped seam liner that is found throughout the pants. On either side of the fly, are flap protected zippered pockets for storage.

The zippered gusset design can also be found at the cuffs. This feature’s simplicity really helps keep the water out and the price down, but the lack of a full leg closure makes this model less suitable as an over pant, because they are going to be pretty tedious to get on and off with jeans on.

Protection is also ample on the 2821’s. There is memory foam padding in the hips, CE approved armor in the knees, and reflective piping for added nighttime visibility. On the back of the pants, a zippered panel has been added to allow the pants to be attached to your riding jacket. This helps to keep the skin of your lower back covered and protected in a crash.

Inside the waist, you can see the zipper for removing the quilted thermal liner. To get the liner out, you will also need to unsnap the liner at the cuffs.

Great textile pants for cold weather riding for the price . Liner is easy to take out and they become wind & rain barrier . Buy one size larger to use as overpants . Jafrum needs to add a couple inches to the inseam .

I saw multiple reviews of these textile pants referring to "Leather Pants". Makes me wonder if I didn't just wasted a fair bit of my time combing thru the reviews and weather I can really trust any of these site reviews. ?

Best Answer:I bought 2 Jafrum textile pants with CE armor they are textile pants they are not leather pants . They are a great pants for the price and warm . I bought a size larger because i use them as overpants . The only thing is that i wish is that Jafrum would increase the length of the inseams . A large Waist 34 should have an inseam of 32 to 34 , the rest of the pants are great . Hope i was helpful .

I wear a 34W pants. But when I measure my waist, it is a 36W. And my riding pants are a 34 Inseam (I wear an extra long inseam to keep my pants firmly over my boots) -- I want these cycle pants to go OVER my jeans. Should I order a Large 36-38 or a Medium 34-36? Thank you
Anthonasio on Jul 13, 2015
Best Answer:I would go with the Large to get the extra inseam length. You are still a couple inches shy of the 34 you need in the inseam. Large inseam is 31

Do you have any riding pants that have heat protective leg areas so they don't burn on the mufflers?
