Comment: #1: xx.xx bucks, #2: 2 day shipping to Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin, #3: xx.xx bucks. These pants are great. Very versatile. Well made and HEAVY DUTY. Well insulated for those cold weather riders. Very cool for those hot weather riders. Extremely adjustable. I wear a size 38 waist. I purchased these to wear as pants not over pants. I ordered a 34 to 36, size large short as my inseam is 30. The fit is perfect at the middle of the waist adjustment. Easy on, easy off. I'm a sport bike rider and wear a pair of compression shorts under these. Very comfortable. They are a bit heavy but that is to be expected with protection like this. No heavier then a good heavy duty textile riding pant. The H20 barrier is very good and the insulation liner is quite warm. The best part is you can remove the liners as you need, to adjust to the temp. With all liners out these pant are a breeze on a hot day. LOTS OF VENTILATION. I recommend these to anyone. These pants are everything Jafrum claims. Go watch the vid then buy a pair. You won't be disappointed.

Comment: I ordered the pants to match the Detour Jacket I purchased. The sizing chart helped me get the right waist and leg length...not always easy. The pants feel comfortable and have all the features mentioned in the product video by Louie. Thank you, Louie, and all the Jafrum experts for making shopping easier.
Detour 8504 mesh overpants review
Comment: I wasn't sure what to expect for the low price of these mesh pants. I had been looking for a pair of riding pants for some time and just discovered these at Jafrum. The pants arrived today and I was very pleased at the quality. These will be great for riding all seasons
Detour 8504 mesh pants review
Comment: Good price for the pants and all the features. Wanted over pants to ride on hot days wearing shorts underneath. They work we'll for that and have a rain liner and quilted liner but I have not used those yet. Ordered based on size chart and the fit is good pant length is long I wear a 34 and ordered the tall size. Only negative is that they are a little heavy
Quality worse than expected
Comment: I wasn't expecting top notch quality for the price, but they started ripping apart the first time I tried them on. The loops that keep the bottoms of the liners attached to the outer shell ripped off when I pulled by legs out. Also the pocket holding the knee armor in place started ripping off too. I definitely would not trust these pants to protect me in a wreck.
I ordered the XLT and the pant legs were shorter than expected.
Detour 8504 Overpant Review
Comment: Purchased two pairs of the Jafrum 8504 ovepants. Sizing chart was accurate. Feel that Jafrum offered an excellent price for the overpants. On my second time wearing the pants, one of the two snaps on the waist fell apart leaving a small hole which needed to be patched and another snap pressed in. As I did not precipitate the snap falling apart, it appears to be a manufacture defect.
Comment: Pants fit great and kept me warm in 40 degree morning. During the even the temperature was in the 70's, took liners out and had a very comfortable ride while still being protected. Liners were very easy to remove.
great but not made for the tall!
Comment: the paints are great in what they are designed for BUT, they arent made for anyone over 6'. I bought the 3x pair, put them on & the first thing I noticed is they are form fitting over my work pants (42 waist). the second thing I noticed was as long as I was standing they reached my shoes, then I sat on the bike. welp, the form fitting waist was to form fitting and then from mid-shin to the ankle were completely uncovered. sadly, most bike gear is made for the average in height. so I am returning them & guess i'll have to pay the over inflated price @ my local shop to find pants actually made for those of us that the bike industry has forgotten about.
all that said, I very much like jafrum!! I will always have them bookmarked & look over their inventory before hand.
Detour 8504 Pants Review
Comment: Great price, very warm, like the ability to change out layers. Wore these in the rain and stayed dry. Well built product.
Detour 8504 Pants Review
Comment: LOTS of features for the price, I am very happy with them so far! As others have mentioned, if you plan on wearing them over jeans, go ahead and get a size larger, I'm glad I did.
Detour 8504 Pants Review
Comment: Good bang for the buck, if they're put together correctly. First pair came a couple of weeks after ordering them online. One front pocket was sewn closed and unuseable. Called Jafrum and got an RMA #, great customer service, BTW. Sent pants back, waited a few weeks, got 2d pair. 2d pair missing a hold down loop inside one leg. Didn't call this time, just made one up and sewed it in myself. I wanted these pants for commuting to work and the summers going by... without pants. The pants themselves are actually pretty nice, if a little heavy. Very similar to Wifey's Tourmaster Venture Air pants, only half the price
Short answer: Good pants for the money, just look them over carefully.
Detour 8504 Pants Review
Comment: What a great deal. I have bought more expensive pants that were not as good or had these many features I test ride motorcycles part time so I actually wear pants out for various reasons so I don't like spending too much money. I highly recommend this product.

Detour 8504 Mesh Pants Review
Comment: Have worn these twice, in the rain and cold morning. While riding in the rain my jeans stayed dry. I ride to work at 1130 PM in the pacific NW last week the temperature dropped to low 40's. kept warm and cozy. I wish the velcro went further around the pants leg.

Comment: I don't typically like to write reviews for products I haven't actually used but I did want to write one for my initial observations.
When I first pulled the pant out of the box I was impressed with how it looked and felt. The pant seems sturdy. The zippers looked strong and their placement was logical. You would definitely be able to put them on while wearing boots in just the shell but I think you would have to work for it if both liners were in.
Speaking of the liners. The pant in full form seems like it would be very warm. But I would say that if you plan to use them as winter pants that you should buy one size up. I normally do but they didn't have any in one size up for me and I actually plan to use it mostly for summer riding where I don't feel like wearing jeans.
I honestly can't wait for spring to try them out.
Which of these pants would be best as over pants-- 8501, 2, or Landslide? I'm thinking the 8502 with full length leg zips. Also, are the leg zippers teeth or nylon coil type? Had a pair of tour masters with coil type and they failed.. Thanks.
These Detour 8504 Pants are made of a combination of nylon mesh and polynylon,
with ballistic nylon panels in the knees and rear end. This is one of the most
versatile pairs of motorcycle
riding pants we sell, but at a price that is far less than similar styles
and models. They feature a three layer design that includes a double stitched
mesh outer shell for warm weather use, a removable waterproof liner for wet
days, and a removable, quilted thermal liner for chilly weather riding. We will
take a closer look at the liners here in a minute.
They have a huge size range, including regular sizes XS thru 4X, and short and
tall sizes m thru 3X. There is a fitment chart on the listing to help you to
determine your size.
They also offer a high level of protection, with removable CE rated armor in the
knees, removable foam pads in the hips, and Night Viz reflective panels and
piping on the outside of the legs. On the back of the pants is a padded lower
back area, and the non-slip panel in the seat also provides extra abrasion
resistance. There is also a zippered panel that allows you to connect your pants
to a riding jacket which protects the skin of your lower back in a crash.
Storage comes in the form of these zippered hand warmer pockets that are
protected by these hook and loop panels.
The adjustability of the 8504's makes them incredibly comfortable. The fly is
kept simple for minimal bulk and features a metal zipper and a dual snap pull
tab cover. There are adjustable hook and loop straps at the waist and cuffs of
the legs, and accordion style stretch panels at the knees and in the rear.
The leg closures feature all metal zippers that are protected by these hook and
loop cover flaps. Opening the legs, reveals the removable, waterproof liner,
with expandable zippered gussets at the cuffs for easy on and off. Inside the
waterproof liner, you find a quilted thermal liner that is equipped with
accordion style stretch panels in the knees that match up with the ones in the
shell. Removing the liners is easy using the full circumference zippers at the
