Detour 8505 Ballistic Motorcycle Pants Review
Comment: The pants fit good and feel good riding. The only hint of a problem was when I received the pants the front zipper was pulled apart. I unzipped it and zipped it and it seems to be working. I have only worn the pants 3 time so far. I purchased these for an in between set of riding wear as I wear my gerbings when it is cold and these when it is warmer.
Comment: I have another pair of pant, but I ordered these for this season. They are bulky, but I took the liner our and they seemed to fit better. They aren't to hot, but they have plenty of armor. I'm happy with them, and I would recommend them to anyone who wants a nice pair of pants, for a reasonable price.
Comment: I want to buy it. Please publish this item on Amazon
Comment: I'm 5'8" and medium build...the XL fit perfectly. Easy to get in and out of them. I needs full rain protection and my chaps would leave me a little soggy in the middle, if you know what I mean.
Good but very bulky
Comment: i am 5'-7", and got the large size. Medium would have been too tight.
It is well made but extremely bulky..
Comment: A little wide for smaller people but full featured, well made and excellent customer service.
Comment: These are great pants. comfortable, using them without the inside liner. Material feels durable. armor is in good position. I am 6ft, ordered medium. they look baggy on the waist, length is fine when standing but they do tend to ride up to the ankle on the Vulcan. Overall, nice pair of pants for a good price. I recommend.
I am 5'11" about 175lbs medium built. Was considering medium. Will wear with liner inside most of the time. Is medium a good size?

Best Answer:I am 5' 8" and about 165 lbs. I got the large and they fit me perfectly in the waist when the waist adjustments are as tight as they can go, so I can adjust them bigger as I get fatter :). The length is a little long for me (I am short) but it isn't a problem they just bunch up a little above my ankles. I really like these pants. They are well made, comfortable and easy to get on and off. We drove the bike to Utah in October and rode in High 30's and low 40's and they kept me warm. I am sure I could ride in much colder weather with them, I just haven't yet. I highly recommend these pants. I would suggest a large for you, just my opinion. After I ordered them I thought I should have ordered a medium and just new I would have to send the large back and get a medium, but when they arrived the large was perfect. I have never worn them without the insulated liner as I bought them for cold weather riding. I hope this helps.
Yes, I'd say they would work perfectly for u. Im bout the same over all in height n weight. N the pants fit comfortably n awesome. Delivery time is great too. N by some chance u need to swap sizes, they r flexible w/ that too. So there is no lose here. U win :) but medium should be fine for u. Have a good day.
