The Joe Rocket Alter Ego 2.0 Waterproof Mesh Pants are a perfect option for the rider that doesn’t care what Mother Nature tries to throw their way. This pair of motorcycle pants got its name because of the ability to adapt to changing situations. They have zip-off panels that expose mesh to allow air to freely flow through the pants and also have a waterproof removable liner to allow you to ride in rainy conditions as well.

Comment: I bought a set of Alter Ego pants years ago and thought it is time to update. The new Alter Ego 2 pants come with a waterproof liner, but I took it out after awhile as I start to feel clammy. The pants have side zippers that come up above the knee so you can still keep your boots on and take the pants off / put them on. I bought the new pants during cold weather, so I have not been able to open the removeable "air intake" stripe that goes from one side around your backside to the other leg front. I have been riding in high 30's, low 40's temps and the pants kept me warm (waterproof liner was worn). I commute to work as well as take trips and enjoy the pants. They feel like they have good protection in the knees and hip area. The pant material feels heavy duty. The side leg zippers can get a bit tricky- I grab the zipper pull and run two fingers under the outer shell as I zip them to the ankle to keep the zipper from binding up on material.
