Make sure you size up on this rain suit. My husband ordered this rainsuit for me for up coming trip to Florida. Ordered pink, I like the color very much. The jacket will be good to wear on its own also.
My husband got me this rain suit and I love it! It's all that you'll need no matter how hard it rains!
Perfect fit! Just love the color and look. Great job Joe Rocket
Planned a long motorcycle ride (my first) for our honeymoon, ordered this suit per instructions to get some proper rain gear for the trip. So very pleased - excellent fit, worked fantastic just as a windbreaker, never actually had to use it in the rain! Very glad I ordered, great quality.
I bought this for my wife in anticipation of riding season starting this spring. I was a bit disappointed in that I had to return the item as the pants just were not sized accurately. That said I sent this back to exchange for one size larger but I'm concerned that the jacket will now be too big and the pants will be fine. ...Waiting on delivery at this point. I will say that looking at this product I was very impressed with the overall quality and attention to detail it had. There were a few features this rain suit had that I wish my....$269 rain suit had. Again over all it was a quality rain suit.
I bought the suit and got it 2 days later. The size runs very small. I am 5'7" and weigh 150 lbs. I had to get the size 1diva to fit over my riding gear. But I absolutely love the suit. I will probably wear the jacket as a lightweight even in fair weather!
I ordered one size larger as suggested. I wear a womens 12 top and ordered an XL. The top fit if I did not wear a jacket underneath. since I live in Florida I wear a lightweight thin jacked, but still too tight. I am sending back today.
My wife and I purchased the Joe Rocket rain suits in preparation for or Niagara Falls trip hoping for no rain but preparing for it. We left our leather jackets at home and day 2 was a bit cold and the rain jacket was plenty to beat off the cold air of the morning ride. Heading home, mother nature decided to make our ride a wet one and the rain suits were wonderful, kept us dry, easy to move in. The leg zippers can be a little awkward. You need to be careful not to catch them in the material and jamb.
New for spring 2014, the RS2 Rainsuit for ladies has the same great price and features as the familiar RS2 Rainsuit for men. The cut and fit are totally new, though. This isn’t just an adapted size chart. These suits are cut specifically to accommodate the shape of a woman. The jacket is made using a polyester material that is backed PVC, so the jacket will hold up really well against UV light deterioration, and provide a completely dry ride. The only down side to this material is that it doesn’t breath… at all. These suits can get pretty warm if you are stopped for extended periods of time in heavy traffic or when riding in residential areas with a bunch of stoplights. As long as you are in motion, though, the vent that spans the back of the jacket does a great job of extracting hot air.
This suit is available in ladies sizes small to one Diva, also known as double X, and is of course sized to fit over your protective riding gear. The jacket’s main closure features a full length zipper with a Velcro storm flap to direct water away from the jacket’s opening. The zipper stops just short of the collar that is lined with corduroy to keep the PVC off of your neck.
There are two pockets at the waist for storage and reflective piping throughout the chassis to promote visibility in low light conditions like inclement weather and various other forms of darkness.
The waist features a stretchy band to help the jacket fit snug no matter what you’re wearing underneath, and the jacket is lined with nylon mesh to promote air flow and mobility. The cuffs of the sleeves are adjustable, using these Velcro adjusters.
The pants are made of the same PVC backed polyester material as the jacket. They have an elastic waistband and cuffs with stirrups to keep your pant legs from creeping up and letting water run down into your boots. There are zippered gussets at the leg bottoms for easy on and off and heat and wear resistant material on the lower leg for long life.
