I have not been disappointed with anything that I have bought from Jafrums. The rain suite not only was here before I had expected, but the workman ship was better than expected. Im recommending that anyone who wants a great deal who is on limited funds give them a try......

I'm actually on my 2nd Thunder Under RS5000 suit. The first one served me well for about 3 years and then the crotch seams started to leak. Because the suit was bulky and took up Quite a bit of my storage room, I decided to replace it with a lighter, more compact, more expensive suit from my dealer. On the first wearing, I was soaked to the skin. Threw it in the trash, and immediately ordered my Thunder Under from Jafrum. I have worn it all summer and it hasn't leaked once. I both like and dislike the loose mesh lining. I like that it allows the pants to move and not stick to you when you sit and I like that it breathes . I don't like that it always gets stuck on my boots when I put it on. I have to reach inside and pull up the lining.
I ride a HD V-Rod Muscle this suite fits well little to no issues with rain gear. Reinforced where it needs to be. Extra seal prevents rain from getting in even at high speeds...
I went to Sturgis this year and the one time I wore these the "Heat panel" didn't hold up to any heat and melted right onto the pipe.....so make sure that you have no contact with the pipes if you wear this suit.
Very nice rain suit for the price. Heavier material and good quality fasteners. Used it once so far on a ten mile ride in a moderate rain and it kept me dry. That's all I can ask!
Awesome item. Price was fantastic. Highly recommend!
True to size, well made. Silver not white, which I like. Hope to avoid the rain, but should keep me dry.
Great gear for price, quality, and performance!!Make sure you go off of size chart. They run BIG. Was not sure about ordering small per chart but fits great. Highly recommend this gear and Jafrum site to all!!
Great love it. Fits well and looks good. Follow the instructions for ordering and you can't go wrong. It's a bit heavy so in warm rain it might be a bit warm but that's ok. Nice and dry. I recommend it get it
This has been a great rainsuit. I ride daily in the rain of WA. Suit fits great and is comfortable in a wide range of motion. Plenty of room to add layers under the jacket. Great value for my money.
Great value for the buck! Good Quality
EXELLENT PROUDUCT: everything decribed to a tee very happy with quality would recommend to a friend.
We are smaller riders, so we ordered a small. It's still big and definately too bulky to wear over other gear. We've decided to keep it for my husband who commutes on his bike, but when he uses it he has to store his regular jacket in his backpack.
I ordered this rainsuit in a Large even though I am normally an XL. The fit and finish of the suit was very nice. I am 6'1" and 235 lbs with a 40 inch waist and 46 to 48 chest. I also ordered the closeout model RS5010 in a Large and actually liked it better than this one, so this one went back. It bothered me that this RS5000 did not have reflective piping on the back of the jacket and that was a deal breaker to me... whereas the closeout model RS5010 had the reflective piping. All in all., a very nice rainsuit for the money. I wish they would date these reviews so prospective buyers can read the more current reviews than some that might be a couple years old..
I bought a suit for my wife, and one for me to leave in our touring motorcycle. This set is a great deal for the money.I like the quality and materials. The fit was just right for my wife, but for me the sleeves are very short.
Im 5' 9" 186 lbs mother in law ordered me small and I was like great they wont fit.....boy was I WRONG!!!! SMALL IS PERFECT ..haven't worn them yet just for them Christmas Eve 2012 ..to be honest hope I never need them....LOL
I like the rain suit jacket. It kept me dry. The one problem I had was with the pants. They fit well, kept me dry and cool, but I wish the heat panels had gone a few inches higher on the legs. They were adequate when my feet were on the floorboards, but you have to put your feet down eventually. Overall I would recommend this product, but just be careful when you put your feet down.
This suit is great. Fit was perfect and the time from ordering to receiving was amazing. Go by the size chart and you will have a great rainsuit that fits perfectly.
Great looking suit good fit, of course it hasn't rain yet.
This is the best rain gear I've ever purchased! After wearing and returning discount store brands, I can say this gear is worth it! Recently wore it to a football game in drenching rain and it kept me very dry! Have yet to try it while riding but am looking forward to putting to the test! Be sure to order down a size because it is plenty big! A nice feature is the heat shield on the calf portion. My others melted away on my exhaust system. Now I am not worried at all. Buy with confidence!!
A rain suit is a necessary item in any rider's apparel collection. Even if you don't ever plan on riding in the rain, there are some things that are simply not in your control. If you have ever gotten soaked to the bone with cold rain 30 or more miles away from home, you probably already own one of these. Rain suits are made in a variety of styles and materials most of which are available on our website, Jafrum.com
The Thunder Under RS5000 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on Jafrum.com for sub sixty bucks. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible, most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.
This rainsuit has just about every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in this one color way. The suit is primarily gray with black accents and has high viz panels in the sleeves of the jacket and high viz piping on the sleeves of the jacket and down the leg of the pants.
Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. There is a hidden hood in the collar to keep water from running down your neck into the jacket. The two pockets on the front are water resistant but I would be careful with cell phones and electronics because there is no closure system for the flap.
The fit on this jacket is very adjustable. There are adjustable straps on the front that are combined with a stretch panel on the back to reduce buffeting at speed. The only feature that is missing on this jacket that would be nice is maybe some adjusters on the sleeves. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs are fully adjustable with stretch panels on one side and an adjustable hook and loop closure on the other.
The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.
Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable with zippered expanders and waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants does have a closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots.
