Looks great

by - verified purchaser
Although I have yet to actualy need it, this rain set looks great! The jacket fits & looks good. The pants seem a bit large, but then I'm not a large guy, & it fits well over my chaps. The quality seems very good for the price, especialy. the sleeve & legs straps should help at speed. A hood would be nice, but then may also have posed a wind problem if it was there, & will have a helmet on when its raining anyway. Hope never to have to wear it, but feel confident it will serve well if needed.Plan to ride most way to Sturgis this year, may have to try it.

Compares well with higher priced suits

by - verified purchaser
I first bought a dri-rider suit back in late 90's, at the time was one of the better ones on the market. With all the variables in prices now, hard to know who has a good suit at a reasonable price. This is a very nice suit for the money, really. I spent more on fishing rainsuits, that i cant say keep me drier. the sizing is pretty good, as i wanted room to put a jacket underneath when its fall or early spring rains. you cant go wrong at this price. it would also make a decent rain suit for golfing ! ! 4 stars is only because i will have to wait and see how long this holds up, as in welds and seams and reaming watertight on my cycle while "sitting" in water on my seat in the rain.

Thunder Under Rain Suit with Flames RS5003 Review

This unisex motorcycle rain gear is awesome looking with vivid, bright flames on the sleeves. Although I purchased this item based upon style, it affords the biker excellent rain protection with it's advanced waterproof technology. It is made of 600 Denier nylon, has reflective piping on both front and back, and has a fixed mesh lining in the jacket. In particular, the rain gear exhibits a great deal of class, and has two front pockets (hook and loop), one zipper pocket inside, and one hook and loop pocket on the pants. The rain gear is quality made, and is sealed at the seams to prevent leaks. Even the jacket sleeves have zipper and hook and loop fastenings. I especially like the elastic mid band and drawstrings on the jacket, not to mention the pants that have an elastic and drawstring waist to ensure a proper fit. Additional quality features include heavy Duratex patches on the inside of the legs, zippers on the legs to accommodate boots, and a removable boot stir strap on the hem of the pants. It is nice to know that this Thunder Under rain gear is protected from hot engine and exhaust temperatures with it's Duratex patches on the inside of the legs. Refer to the rain suit size chart for proper fit. I found the rain gear to fit to size. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase.

Rain Suit with Flames RS5003 Review

Ordered this suit 3 seasons ago keeps water out my only complaint pant leg melts to my drag pipes on my FSXTS everytime I ride in rain, stains my pipes, and packing tape repairs the holes I just carry a roll when I wear it, i've tried tying them in spots close to pipes but doesn't seem to help, the duratex I hoped would work better but good suit for the price.

Great Purchase

Sporadic weather had me worried about arriving to work looking like a drowned rat. I ordered what I felt I could afford, and expected to get my money's worth, if you know what I mean. Instead, I recieved a high quality rain suit. It far exceeded my meager money and expectations. As I have always experienced with Jafrum, my money was well spent.

I ordered this as my first rain gear. I received it today and immediately tried it out. It is amazing. Keeps rain out and keeps you warm. I love the zippers with flaps to keep the water off of you. Very good product. Am ordering more items.

Works as a warm suit

by - verified purchaser
I used this in 14 degree weather, driving on the highway at 65 MPH, keep me warm with just a set of layered clothes no addtional coat. Been using it as warm gear since. It does run large and the straps brook first day, simple rivet fixed it. Some melted against the pipes. Needs larger cloth area on the right side. Yet to get wet in it yet.

Suit design is great. Fit is fine, but arm length is a bit short. Not a problem if wearing gauntlet gloves. Haven't tried it in the rain, but fully expect it to perform well!

Motorcycle Rain Suit

Love the rain gear! Fits great and looks good. My only problem is we live in Minnesota so biking season is now 3+ months always with all the salt on the roads. Can't wait for Spring. Get all my biking needs from need to go elsewhere. Always great prices and good quality.

A rain suit is a necessary item in any rider's apparel collection. Even if you don't ever plan on riding in the rain, there are some things that are simply not in your control. If you have ever gotten soaked to the bone with cold rain 30 or more miles away from home, you probably already own one of these. Rain suits are made in a variety of styles and materials most of which are available on our website,

The Thunder Under RS5003 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on for less than forty five dollars. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible; although most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.

This rainsuit has almost every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in this all black color way with these yellow, orange, and red flames running up the sleaves. There is high viz piping that runs across the chest, and across the back. There is more high viz in the way of these reflective panels near the cuffs of the pants.

Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a padded collar and a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. The dual pockets on the front of the jacket have full width hook and loop closures making them nearly completely waterproof.

The fit on this jacket is very adjustable. There is a stretchy band all the way around the jacket to reduce buffeting at speed and there are pull tabs at the bottom to snug up the opening. The only feature that is missing on this jacket that would be nice is maybe some adjusters on the sleeves. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs are fully adjustable with stretch panels on one side, an adjustable hook and loop closure on the other, and a zippered expander with a waterproof gusset.

The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.

Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable with zippered expanders and waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots. The only feature not in these pants is the mesh liner you find in the jacket.

This has been a closer look at the Thunder Under RS5003 Two Piece Motorcycle Rainsuit.

Best Answer:I think for you they would be a little short. I'm 6'1", with a 34" inseam and they fit well. But seems like I would only have 1-2" of margin if I were taller. There's a stirrup that holds the cuff down (loops under your boot) but the pants may ride too high on your boot and generally just feel tight. If you need for the occasional chance you'd hit rain, they'd probably work OK. Otherwise I think you would be better to find something with a longer inseam. They're good pants--I did a ride in western Washington with 3 days of rain and they kept me quite dry.

I'm a woman and my measurements show an XS. How long are the pants for this rain gear? I have a 31" inseam.
Kris H on Oct 3, 2014
Best Answer:RS5003 inseams run from 30 inches to 34 inches across the size run. The XS should be around 30.5 inseam.
