"Great rainsuit, used it at Sturgis during a downpour. Worked great. Great price also. Made really well and comfortable. Shipping was on time. Great company to work with, will use again."
"Orderd to have around for an emergency rain suit. Ended up Taking My Motorcycle Safty test in the Pouring Rain Luck I had Ordered this Gear Prior. Stood up to the Test and I Passed...|3 hours in the Rain And I was Dry. Only a little perspiration dampness. Could use some vents But Excellent for the Price."
"Bought this raingear to use for the unexpected downpour as I really don't leave home in the rain but you never know when you have to return that way, especially after a full day of work with those "1020chance of rain forecasts leaving you soaking wet on the ride home. After having this suit for one week it has proved it's worth immediately with a missed forecast as it kept me dry and warm on the ride home from work. When you consider what the suit costs compared to others this one comes out a real winner. It is lightweight, packable (even in my modestly sized saddlebags), has heat protection on the legs (even some more expensive models don't have this) and a fold-away hood. The only negative thing I have to say about this raingear is that the jacket does not have any pockets. I assumed all jackets would have pockets, but this one doesn't. I am 5'10" tall, about 200lbs. and the size Large fits great for me with no excessive wind flapping while riding. Highly recommended."
"I shopped on this site after hearing rave reviews from friends. This raingear is definitely better than I expected for the price. And I ordered it one afternoon and received it the next morning. Will definitely do business again!"
"I orderd this product on Tuesday and was quite surprised to recieve it on Thursday. This product far exceeded my expectations, it is a top quality product at a very reasonable price."
"My wife purchased two sets from this site. (She got the pink RS5001) We were really totally pleased when our order arrived today (sooner than we expected) and saw the quality of the gear. I would definitely reccomend this and the sizing runs true to the chart."
"I bought this for the emergency rain. It is much heavier nylon than I expected. Excellant rainsuit for the price. I am 6' and 225, 38 waist, and the XXL is a bit large. I could wear an XL. I would say this is fine for the occassional unexpected rain and an excellant value for the price."
Great experience. Quick delivery and items were as I expected. I've purchased several items over the past three months and never had an issue. The customer support was excellent when it cam to returning an item that was the wrong size. I really was dreading the exchange process but they made it effortless and even saved me money because the size that I needed was on sale and cheaper than the original one! Definitely recommend them.
For the price cannot buy a better rain suit.
"for the most part satisfied however the sizes are very limited seems that most popular sizes are out of stock. Sizes seem to run a bit big I'm 5'9 200 (athletic build) ordered and XL it was too big need a large. Didn't have a large in stock even in different styles. Ordering my girlfriend a small it was too big for her (she's 5'2 or 3. 130lbs) need an extra small they did not have in stock. I was pretty impressed with the quality of the rain suits out of the box. Have not used it yet obviously but they appear to be pretty awesome. I would highly recommend giving them a try the price is amazing if you can find your size."
Love the quality of this suit, as for wether it works in the rain, l have no idea. But if the suit is from Jafrum l believe it will work well. All Jafrum gear is great!!
Purchased the RS5005 a week prior to going 2014 Myrtle Bike week. The rain suite arrived a few days later - quick shipping. In a group of 6 bikes, we rode from Raleigh through significant rain/downpours for 2+ hours. When we reached our destination, I was the only rider that had dry socks and a dry shirt. The other riders kept bending over to pull their rain suite pant legs down. The stirrups that came with the RS5005 kept the pant legs from riding up my legs and my feet bone dry. The other riders also burned their rain suits on their exhaust when their pant legs rode up their legs. I had no burn marks on my rain suite. I enjoyed a few beverages and grinned while my buddies attempted to dry out their boots with a hair dryer :)
My wife and I ordered a matching set (yeah, we're "THAT" couple), and were surpised at the quality. That being said, I'm 6'0 and weigh 240 and typically wear an XL to XXL. I can comfortably wear a Large in this rainsuit, with room for my leathers underneath. This is a great deal, but you should probably order a size smaller than you are thinking.
Great quality made suit for the price. However way too big for my frame. I am 5' 4", 120 lbs and I ordered the small according to this size chart. The suit was way too big and extremely long for my petite frame, even with extra layers on. By looking at the sizing chart the XS would even be too big for me. Where are all the suits made for ladies? It's upsetting you don't have more suits specifically made for a womans petite frame. The one I actually liked is now discontinued. And Joe Rocket doesn't have a rain hood attached to their rain jacket? That's certainly not very practical for riding a motorcycle in the rain. Who designs this stuff? And unfortunately now I have had to pay to return this item. Because of this I would no longer order from your site to avoid having to pay return shipping for items that don't fit based on an incorrect sizing chart. I give the product 4 stars, but disappointed with everything else involving this transaction.
these are very well made and great for the rain and easy to slip on in a rain storm. I am very pleased with these, we got them for a cross country trip and they were great, Thanks
wonderfully fast shipping as always, good, product, fits well, and seems sturdy. Haven't got to test it out much yet, but very pleased so far.
I ordered this suit in preparation for a week long trip over Memorial Day. I figured I would not wait till the last minute! I was concerned about the sizing, but after reading the reviews, I went ahead with your recommendations! When the suit arrived I went and put on my riding gear (3 season jacket with armor, and leather chaps) and tried it on. Everything fit VERY well over my gear! I am IMPRESSED with the construction and overall quality of this suit! The price CANNOT be beat! I hope to never need it, but I am sure it will serve me well! Thanks Jafrum for your products! GREAT RAIN SUIT. MUCH BETTER QUALITY THAN I EXPECTED. THE FIT IS GREAT AND VERY COMFORTABLE. THIS IS A GREAT SITE TO ORDER FROM. NO HASSLE AND PROMPT DELIVERY.
This was a great rainsuit for the money! The material is a bit stiff, but it was still a great buy. I am a big guy (6'2", 400LB), so it is hard to find stuff that fits well... and the sizing was great. Jacket goes on over my winter coat if I need it, and pants go on over my jeans and boots. I would deffinitely recommend this suit to anyone who is looking for a great deal and a quality product! And as always, buying from Jafrum was great. Thanks for the great service and product!
A rain suit is a necessary item in any rider's apparel collection. Even if you don't ever plan on riding in the rain, there are some things that are simply not in your control. If you have ever gotten soaked to the bone with cold rain 30 or more miles away from home, you probably already own one of these. Rain suits are made in a variety of styles and materials most of which are available on our website, Jafrum.com
The Thunder Under RS5000 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on Jafrum.com for sub sixty bucks. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible, most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.
This rainsuit has just about every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in five color ways. All the suits are mostly black with accent color choices of orange, yellow, blue, red, and gray.
Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. There is a hidden hood in the collar to keep water from running down your neck into the jacket. The look is very clean because there are no pockets, waist adjusters, or stretch panels on this jacket. They left the stretch areas off the sleeves as well as some folks do not like the feeling against their skin for extended periods. There is a hook and loop type adjuster though for a secure fit.
The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.
Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable with zippered expanders and waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a full width hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas of the bike and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots. These pants do not have the mesh lining found in the jacket.
