I love this suit!

I just got this suit in exchange for one my daughter bought me for Christmas that wasn't quite right. It was shipped Friday, and arrived today (Saturday). I put on my winter riding gear and topped it off with this suit and left out today at 29 degrees. This suit works great at keeping the cold air out. It fits snug with all the elastic in the pants and jacket, plus it has pull cords to snug it up even more. It also has a pocket on the pants and two on the jacket. I would recomend this suit to anyone. FYI: I am 5'9" and weigh 200 solid pounds. The 5003 I received is a Medium and fits over all my clothes, ski bib, and leather coat very well.

Was sweating about my suit arriving on time as I was planning a trip, and waited until the last minute to order. It came the day before I left! I was very satified with the quality and size, the only suprise was the green color in the flames. Not what the picture showed, but I can deal with that. Otherwise, great value!

Great Rain Suit...Even Better Price!

by - verified purchaser
As you know, Jafrum offers competive prices for their products. However, this rain suit was on sale. Coupled with "Jafrum Bucks," I paid about $9 for a suit that retails for $80. The suit was used for the first time last weekend in Florida's unpredictable weather. I enjoyed the fact that the zippered and velcro bottoms allowed me to slip the pants quickly over my boots. You are fully protected as velcro seals off all of the ends that are exposed to the rain (neck, arms and legs). Using a full-face helmet seals the deal - no water coming in. Pockets, drawstrings, Velcro and reinforced patches on the pant leg make this a great buy. As with all rainsuits, you do heat up when the sun comes out! As for picking the right size, I went with the Large suit. I am 5'10 male and weigh 190 lbs. I have a 34 inch waist and a 42 inch chest. With that in mind, the suit covered my motorcycle jacket and blue jeans without a hitch. If you ride without a jacket, you may want to take that into account and downsize your purchase. My thought, however, is that it is better to ride with a big suit which can be tightened than with a tight suit that can not be loosened. Overall, I am very satisfied. Food for thought. If you purchase clothing and decide to review the purchase, please describe your physical features. This will help others evaluate the sizing charts that accompany clothing items. It helped me when choosing my size. Have fun...and ride safely.

Cool Suit - Ride Tested in 3 Seasons

by - verified purchaser
I have had mine for 3 seasons, I have ridden in the Oregon, California, Colorado and all through the west, I have been in drizzels, to absomute monsune downpours and this suit works just as well if not better than the ones that cost twice as much. One plus I thought was really cool is the cordura leggings to protect from hot exhaust. All of this for $40.00, this is why I keep ordering from Jafrum.

Looking forward to getting caught in the rain now

by - verified purchaser
The photo doesn't do the suit justice. This is a fairly heavy-duty piece of gear and the fit is near perfect. My long legs make my feet a little too far away from the elastic bottom of the pants when seated on the bike. Boot covers should fix that problem, however. Everything seems very well made. It's very comfortable and warm. I'm almost looking forward to getting caught in the rain now.

Motorcycle Rain Gear

I bought this suit for one of my friends for Christmas. He always had a problem with melting the lower leg due to the muffler pipe. This suit has the heat resistant inner leg panel, and it works great. It's up high enough so that when sitting down it's just right, and the shipping was unbelivably fast.

A rain suit is a necessary item in any rider's apparel collection. Even if you don't ever plan on riding in the rain, there are some things that are simply not in your control. If you have ever gotten soaked to the bone with cold rain 30 or more miles away from home, you probably already own one of these. Rain suits are made in a variety of styles and materials most of which are available on our website,

The Thunder Under RS5003 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on for less than forty five dollars. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible; although most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.

This rainsuit has almost every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in this all black color way with these yellow, orange, and red flames running up the sleaves. There is high viz piping that runs across the chest, and across the back. There is more high viz in the way of these reflective panels near the cuffs of the pants.

Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a padded collar and a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. The dual pockets on the front of the jacket have full width hook and loop closures making them nearly completely waterproof.

The fit on this jacket is very adjustable. There is a stretchy band all the way around the jacket to reduce buffeting at speed and there are pull tabs at the bottom to snug up the opening. The only feature that is missing on this jacket that would be nice is maybe some adjusters on the sleeves. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs are fully adjustable with stretch panels on one side, an adjustable hook and loop closure on the other, and a zippered expander with a waterproof gusset.

The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.

Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable with zippered expanders and waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots. The only feature not in these pants is the mesh liner you find in the jacket.

This has been a closer look at the Thunder Under RS5003 Two Piece Motorcycle Rainsuit.

I'm a woman and my measurements show an XS. How long are the pants for this rain gear? I have a 31" inseam.
Kris H on Oct 3, 2014
Best Answer:RS5003 inseams run from 30 inches to 34 inches across the size run. The XS should be around 30.5 inseam.

Best Answer:I think for you they would be a little short. I'm 6'1", with a 34" inseam and they fit well. But seems like I would only have 1-2" of margin if I were taller. There's a stirrup that holds the cuff down (loops under your boot) but the pants may ride too high on your boot and generally just feel tight. If you need for the occasional chance you'd hit rain, they'd probably work OK. Otherwise I think you would be better to find something with a longer inseam. They're good pants--I did a ride in western Washington with 3 days of rain and they kept me quite dry.
