Nice Design

by - verified purchaser
First a disclaimer. I haven't had a chance to ride in the rain since I bought it! That said, I'm pretty impressed with the designing features, Gusseted zippers, reinforced seat and all tape sealed makes me think this is going to work very nicely. It looks quite durable, but only time will tell. I have not seen a better constructed rain suit for twice the price.

Sizing Is Off

by - verified purchaser
If you are a female and ordering this, be aware that this a unisex suit. You can try to use the measuring chart, but consider your height. I am 5’4” and I got lost in a medium. I initially ordered a large but ended up returning for a medium which was only slightly smaller. My bargain suit ended up not be such a bargain with shipping the return and it does not fit. Word of advice….order 2 sizes smaller if you decide to buy online.

Fit Was Good

by - verified purchaser
We received the rain gear in record time, by FedEx, the gear was in good condition and the fit was good for wife, but a little short for my 6"4 frame.
I believe we will enjoy them more in cool weather, as they are a little warm to ride in hot Louisiana rain. I would order again but one size larger for myself as it would probably give me a little longer leg space.

RS5001 Review

by - verified purchaser
Bought lg and 3 x.... Wife would have been a medium but I was afraid to get too small I figure too lg was safer.... The lg is big I could have gotten a medium but am keeping it.... Never know how many coats it will have to go over... The 3 x fits OK .I am 6'4" 280.. With a big belly. The elastic on coat comes too high on my belly to help keep blow up....strong Velcro and zipper. I had to exchange the 3 x because the liner in the arm was twisted .could not get my arm in.. No problem with jafrum.. Called and got return tag and sent back.two week turnaround time I thought was very good. It's winter so haven't tested yet but looks well made with descent material and mesh liner in jacket. I bought this set because with my height I wanted the boot strap too hold pant leg down when I sit on bike. Also I wanted a set I could pack smaller than what I have now. This set comes with storage bag but I want to pack a bit smaller than that bag. But it is easy to pack.... I thought these would be made of a cloth but appears to be a type of plastic but well made and taped....seams. Also the price was very good for this set

Staying Dry Lookin Good

by - verified purchaser
Bought a rain suit for both my wife and I, black/pink for her, black/orange for me. The quality impressed me and order true to chart for over the coat and jeans. Both fit great. They look very good and I thought the price was exceptionally in line when looking for a value. I highly recommend these products for the guys and gals. Really enjoy buying from this company.

"Nice Rain Suit. Brightly colored for good visibility on cloudy, foggy, rainy days. Fits well. Is comfortable over clothes. Ordered a size up for both me and my boyfriend to be sure. Fortunately haven't had a chance to use it yet in rain, but feel it will do the job of keeping us dry if/when necessary to get from point A to point B. |Jafrum is a good seller and ships very fast."

A rain suit is a necessary item in any rider's apparel collection. Even if you don't ever plan on riding in the rain, there are some things that are simply not in your control. If you have ever gotten soaked to the bone with cold rain 30 or more miles away from home, you probably already own one of these. Rain suits are made in a variety of styles and materials most of which are available on our website,

The Thunder Under RS5001 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on for less than forty five dollars. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible, most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.

This rainsuit has almost every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in six color ways. The suits are primarily black with accent color choices of yellow, blue, gray, orange, pink, and red. There is high viz piping on the sleeves of the jacket, across the chest, and across the back. There is more high viz in the form of these panels near the cuffs of the pants as well

Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. The dual pockets on the front of the jacket have full width hook and loop closures making them nearly completely waterproof.

The fit on this jacket is very adjustable. There is a stretchy band all the way around the jacket to reduce buffeting at speed and there are pull tabs at the bottom to snug up the opening. The only feature that is missing on this jacket that would be nice is maybe some adjusters on the sleeves. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs are fully adjustable with stretch panels on one side, an adjustable hook and loop closure on the other, and a zippered expander with a waterproof gusset.

The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.

Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable with zippered expanders and waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots.

Best Answer:I think for you they would be a little short. I'm 6'1", with a 34" inseam and they fit well. But seems like I would only have 1-2" of margin if I were taller. There's a stirrup that holds the cuff down (loops under your boot) but the pants may ride too high on your boot and generally just feel tight. If you need for the occasional chance you'd hit rain, they'd probably work OK. Otherwise I think you would be better to find something with a longer inseam. They're good pants--I did a ride in western Washington with 3 days of rain and they kept me quite dry.

I'm 6'0", 180lbs, 44" chest, and 32" waist. Could I order the jacket in medium and the pants in 2XS? Would the sleeves be long enough to cover my 27" reach and would the 2XS pants be long enough for my 32" inseam?

RS5001` rainsuit

I am 6' 3". Chest 42, waist 39. Chart says this is a small. Is this correct???

My wife - chest 39, waist 35 and presently has a small rainsuit (different mfgr) Chart for her is XS.

What do you think?

Best Answer:We both got a size s. My husband is 6' and 175. I am 5'4". There is room for heavy jacket and a couple extra layers of pants. Length is good on both. If you are going to wear with heavy clot hinging under, you might want to consider a med. If you are going to use with just jeans and summer type jacket, a small would likely work. I'm a bit smaller chest / waist then your wife but I went with Small because I knew I would only wear in cold weather and would have Tourmaster on under. PS These are great! Keeps you dry and if its cold they make a really good top layer to keep you warm!
