Comment: Fast delivery. What a suprise when I received

Comment: Great rain outfit. No leaks in rain and they double very nicely as a wind breaker. Great folks to deal shipping and delivery. I would highly recommend Jafrum to anybody. Great company.

The Best Rainsuit

Comment: Man! This suit is great, the best rainsuit I have ever owned, rode in pouring rain yesterday and not a wet spot anywhere. I love it, Jafrum rocks!

Comment: I ordered this set from Canada, and even with the exchange and extra shipping charge, this is still a great deal . Really good quality, and exactly as advertised. Shipping was so fast, it surprised me,...awesome company. I know this set will last a very long time.

I love this suit!

Comment: I just got this suit in exchange for one my daughter bought me for Christmas that wasn't quite right. It was shipped Friday, and arrived today (Saturday). I put on my winter riding gear and topped it off with this suit and left out today at 29 degrees. This suit works great at keeping the cold air out. It fits snug with all the elastic in the pants and jacket, plus it has pull cords to snug it up even more. It also has a pocket on the pants and two on the jacket. I would recomend this suit to anyone. FYI: I am 5'9" and weigh 200 solid pounds. The 5003 I received is a Medium and fits over all my clothes, ski bib, and leather coat very well.

Comment: I just ordered this rain gear last week, arrived in 3 days, Wow!!! I was very leary with the low price. I got caught in the rain last night and pulled over to try out my new gear, wow, very easy to put on and kept me super dry and warm. Excellent quality for a super low price.

Comment: Was sweating about my suit arriving on time as I was planning a trip, and waited until the last minute to order. It came the day before I left! I was very satified with the quality and size, the only suprise was the green color in the flames. Not what the picture showed, but I can deal with that. Otherwise, great value!

Great Rain Suit...Even Better Price!

Comment: As you know, Jafrum offers competive prices for their products. However, this rain suit was on sale. Coupled with "Jafrum Bucks," I paid about $9 for a suit that retails for $80. The suit was used for the first time last weekend in Florida's unpredictable weather. I enjoyed the fact that the zippered and velcro bottoms allowed me to slip the pants quickly over my boots. You are fully protected as velcro seals off all of the ends that are exposed to the rain (neck, arms and legs). Using a full-face helmet seals the deal - no water coming in. Pockets, drawstrings, Velcro and reinforced patches on the pant leg make this a great buy. As with all rainsuits, you do heat up when the sun comes out! As for picking the right size, I went with the Large suit. I am 5'10 male and weigh 190 lbs. I have a 34 inch waist and a 42 inch chest. With that in mind, the suit covered my motorcycle jacket and blue jeans without a hitch. If you ride without a jacket, you may want to take that into account and downsize your purchase. My thought, however, is that it is better to ride with a big suit which can be tightened than with a tight suit that can not be loosened. Overall, I am very satisfied. Food for thought. If you purchase clothing and decide to review the purchase, please describe your physical features. This will help others evaluate the sizing charts that accompany clothing items. It helped me when choosing my size. Have fun...and ride safely.

Cool Suit - Ride Tested in 3 Seasons

Comment: I have had mine for 3 seasons, I have ridden in the Oregon, California, Colorado and all through the west, I have been in drizzels, to absomute monsune downpours and this suit works just as well if not better than the ones that cost twice as much. One plus I thought was really cool is the cordura leggings to protect from hot exhaust. All of this for $40.00, this is why I keep ordering from Jafrum.

Very good raingear

Comment: Very good rain gear, easy order, quick delivery, & excellent price. Thanks Jafrum

Bridge City, Texas

Looking forward to getting caught in the rain now

Comment: The photo doesn't do the suit justice. This is a fairly heavy-duty piece of gear and the fit is near perfect. My long legs make my feet a little too far away from the elastic bottom of the pants when seated on the bike. Boot covers should fix that problem, however. Everything seems very well made. It's very comfortable and warm. I'm almost looking forward to getting caught in the rain now.

Comment: I bought this suit for one of my friends for Christmas. He always had a problem with melting the lower leg due to the muffler pipe. This suit has the heat resistant inner leg panel, and it works great. It's up high enough so that when sitting down it's just right, and the shipping was unbelivably fast.

Comment: Typical Jafrum shipping: FAST. Was very happy with the service. Rainsuit is excellent. Keeps me dry all over. Sizes run a bit large. I ordered an XL. I'm 6'2" & 230lbs. The large was the size I needed. Thanks to the staff at Jafrum. Great job!

Great Rain Gear

Comment: I used this suit in driving rain at 60 MPH for more than 50 miles. It did its job. I got it on sale so that made it an even better deal. :) The only problem I have with it is the elastic on the waist of the jacket. I ordered the medium, which should have fit nicely, but the elastic is so tight it is very distracting. It seems to be too high on the jacket. If it were lower, it wouldn't be as noticeable As it is, I am constantly trying to pull the jacket lower (as I am riding in the rain) to get the elastic off of my lower chest. I am going to order a large set and try the large jacket with the medium pants.

New Buyer

Comment: Good quality and delivery was very quick. My husband's fit fine. We ordered large for him because he wears large in everything, although the chart indicated a medium. I was nervous about ordering XS but I did according to the chart. Jacket fit great but pants are definitely not made for short people (I'm 4'11"). Chart does not give inseam sizes or choices. Decided to keep everything, just have to pull pants up to my neck.

Great Rain Gear

Comment: This suit has kept me dry in a great many downpours. This, and my boot covers, brings me home dry every time. I would suggest getting a size bigger than you would normally wear. According to the chart, I wear a medium. The pants fit good and snug over my winter gear. The elastic in the waist of the jacket though is very tight and gets quite irritating after just a few miles. I plan on ordering a Large and pairing it with my medium pants. That should be just what the doctor ordered. :)

Great for the Price

Comment: I bought this rain suit more for keeping the cold out while driving in the late fall and early spring months. The jacket has been terrific at keeping me warm as long as I have my riding jacket underneath. There is plenty of room in the's great. The legs are a little baggy but it really isn't a fashion show. They keep me less warm but have been sufficient for the little rain I have encountered. The zippers on the legs are somewhat cheap and they don't always want to work correctly. Other than those minor things...they are great.

Comment: I was really surprised on how fast I received my suit after placing my order. Everything fit perfect and for the price the quality for exceed my expectations.

Looks good and arrived quickly

Comment: I ordered this rainsuit with my replacement helmet and they arrived super quick. Haven't tried the suit in the rain as my bike is in the shop, but it looks real good. My only complaint is that it is not American made and didn't say so in the description.

Comment: I needed a rain suit real bad and say this and for the money I was not to sure about how good it would be. Well let me tell you that it is very well made has everything the pricy ones have for half the money and works great it is easy to get on and keeps you dry what more can you ask and it looks great for the price you can not go wrong.

Works as a warm suit

Comment: I used this in 14 degree weather, driving on the highway at 65 MPH, keep me warm with just a set of layered clothes no addtional coat. Been using it as warm gear since. It does run large and the straps brook first day, simple rivet fixed it. Some melted against the pipes. Needs larger cloth area on the right side. Yet to get wet in it yet.

Awesome Rain Gear!

Comment: What can I say, very pleased!. Fast delivery and awesome gear; very well made (Heavy enough to keep you dry and light enough to fold up tight). Went by the comments as the size chart seemed off, and ordered 1 size smaller (i'm 5'11" / 165# / 44R jacket) and would have gotten a Large but got Medium and fits good with room to spare for even my heavy leather jacket underneath. Now ready for our trip around Lake Huron / Georgian Bay end of June!.

Great gear

Comment: I ordered this as my first rain gear. I received it today and immediately tried it out. It is amazing. Keeps rain out and keeps you warm. I love the zippers with flaps to keep the water off of you. Very good product. Am ordering more items.

Great Purchase

Comment: Sporadic weather had me worried about arriving to work looking like a drowned rat. I ordered what I felt I could afford, and expected to get my money's worth, if you know what I mean. Instead, I recieved a high quality rain suit. It far exceeded my meager money and expectations. As I have always experienced with Jafrum, my money was well spent.

Don't forget to get gaitors and gloves

Comment: Had to wear my rain suit a week after I purchased it, in a heavy down pour. The suit kept my dry through and through. Needed a set of gaitors and waterproof gloves and I would have been completely dry. Great product especially for the price.

Comment: Ordered this suit 3 seasons ago keeps water out my only complaint pant leg melts to my drag pipes on my FSXTS everytime I ride in rain, stains my pipes, and packing tape repairs the holes I just carry a roll when I wear it, i've tried tying them in spots close to pipes but doesn't seem to help, the duratex I hoped would work better but good suit for the price.

Great Service and Product RS5003 Rain Suit Review

Comment: I ordered it two days before riding to Sturgis from Louisiana, and had the item shipped to my room there. I chose the slower method of shipment, and was almost worried I would not get it. On the last day, upon checking out, there it was! It was received in time for my next leg of the trip to California. Was very impressed with it, and happy to get it, as it kept me dry while riding back home through some torrential rains in New Mexico along with passing trucks blasting me with water. Great product and great service!

Got Exactly What I hoped For

Comment: Bought this set after getting caught in a rainstorm and forced to buy a very thick and heavy PVC set that was very hot and bulky. Thought this set would be much more compact to stay in my saddlebags and boy I'm glad I got em. I was a little worried about ordering size medium as I wear mostly Large or sometimes even XL, but I trusted the size chart and as a 5' 10" 195 pounder it fits perfectly. I would definitely recommend this to friends and in fact, may buy a set for my 24 year old son.

Thunder Under Rain Suit with Flames RS5003 Review

Comment: This unisex motorcycle rain gear is awesome looking with vivid, bright flames on the sleeves. Although I purchased this item based upon style, it affords the biker excellent rain protection with it's advanced waterproof technology. It is made of 600 Denier nylon, has reflective piping on both front and back, and has a fixed mesh lining in the jacket. In particular, the rain gear exhibits a great deal of class, and has two front pockets (hook and loop), one zipper pocket inside, and one hook and loop pocket on the pants. The rain gear is quality made, and is sealed at the seams to prevent leaks. Even the jacket sleeves have zipper and hook and loop fastenings. I especially like the elastic mid band and drawstrings on the jacket, not to mention the pants that have an elastic and drawstring waist to ensure a proper fit. Additional quality features include heavy Duratex patches on the inside of the legs, zippers on the legs to accommodate boots, and a removable boot stir strap on the hem of the pants. It is nice to know that this Thunder Under rain gear is protected from hot engine and exhaust temperatures with it's Duratex patches on the inside of the legs. Refer to the rain suit size chart for proper fit. I found the rain gear to fit to size. Absolutely no regrets on this purchase.

Awsome rain suit

Comment: I've been looking for a rain suit that's going to keep me dry and look good too. I definitely got my money's worth. It fits great and doubles as wind breaker that keeps you warm on those evening'll be glad you got one for you and your lady.

Compares well with higher priced suits

Comment: I first bought a dri-rider suit back in late 90's, at the time was one of the better ones on the market. With all the variables in prices now, hard to know who has a good suit at a reasonable price. This is a very nice suit for the money, really. I spent more on fishing rainsuits, that i cant say keep me drier. the sizing is pretty good, as i wanted room to put a jacket underneath when its fall or early spring rains. you cant go wrong at this price. it would also make a decent rain suit for golfing ! ! 4 stars is only because i will have to wait and see how long this holds up, as in welds and seams and reaming watertight on my cycle while "sitting" in water on my seat in the rain.

Looks great

Comment: Although I have yet to actualy need it, this rain set looks great! The jacket fits & looks good. The pants seem a bit large, but then I'm not a large guy, & it fits well over my chaps. The quality seems very good for the price, especialy. the sleeve & legs straps should help at speed. A hood would be nice, but then may also have posed a wind problem if it was there, & will have a helmet on when its raining anyway. Hope never to have to wear it, but feel confident it will serve well if needed.Plan to ride most way to Sturgis this year, may have to try it.

Ogden, Ut.

Good for the price but the pants leak if you are sitting in the rain water

Comment: The jacket works fine but the liner in the sleeves are a pain, but it does keep the rain out and you can cinch it tight around the neck and sleeves...although the sleeves should be longer. The pants are fine but you will get wet if the water pools on the motorcycle seat.

RS5003 Rain Gear Review

Comment: This gear is the right fit with the sizing chart. Bought it for a trip from Florida to Michigan. The velcro is so tight that you almost need and extra set of hands to seperate. No rain getting through it!! Nice stuff.

I'm a woman and my measurements show an XS. How long are the pants for this rain gear? I have a 31" inseam.
Kris H on Oct 3, 2014
Best Answer: RS5003 inseams run from 30 inches to 34 inches across the size run. The XS should be around 30.5 inseam.

Best Answer: I think for you they would be a little short. I'm 6'1", with a 34" inseam and they fit well. But seems like I would only have 1-2" of margin if I were taller. There's a stirrup that holds the cuff down (loops under your boot) but the pants may ride too high on your boot and generally just feel tight. If you need for the occasional chance you'd hit rain, they'd probably work OK. Otherwise I think you would be better to find something with a longer inseam. They're good pants--I did a ride in western Washington with 3 days of rain and they kept me quite dry.

A rain suit is a necessary item in any rider's apparel collection. Even if you don't ever plan on riding in the rain, there are some things that are simply not in your control. If you have ever gotten soaked to the bone with cold rain 30 or more miles away from home, you probably already own one of these. Rain suits are made in a variety of styles and materials most of which are available on our website,
The Thunder Under RS5003 two piece rainsuit is made from nylon. Nylon is a good fabric for a rainsuit because it is lightweight, easy to pack, and somewhat breathable. It can also be very reasonably priced. This complete suit with all of the features I'm about to show you is on sale on for less than forty five dollars. The only downsides to nylon as a rainsuit fabric are that it is not flexible; although most rainsuits aren't flexible, and it doesn't hold up to sunlight very well. All that means to you the rider is that you don't want to lay it out in the sun for extended periods of time to dry. If you take proper care of a nylon suit it will provide you with protection from the elements for many years and miles.
This rainsuit has almost every feature available in this type of apparel, and It is available in this all black color way with these yellow, orange, and red flames running up the sleaves. There is high viz piping that runs across the chest, and across the back. There is more high viz in the way of these reflective panels near the cuffs of the pants.

Let's take a closer look at the three quarter length jacket. This jacket has a padded collar and a durable plastic zipper that is covered by these dual panels and secured with a hook and loop system to ensure a waterproof closure. All the seams are tape sealed as well to keep the water out. The dual pockets on the front of the jacket have full width hook and loop closures making them nearly completely waterproof.
The fit on this jacket is very adjustable. There is a stretchy band all the way around the jacket to reduce buffeting at speed and there are pull tabs at the bottom to snug up the opening. The only feature that is missing on this jacket that would be nice is maybe some adjusters on the sleeves. They're nice to have to keep the jacket quiet especially if you ride a bike with little or no wind screen. The cuffs are fully adjustable with stretch panels on one side, an adjustable hook and loop closure on the other, and a zippered expander with a waterproof gusset.
The interior of the jacket has been equipped with a mesh lining. This will help wick moisture away from your skin and also keep the rain gear from sticking to your skin when you start to sweat.

Now let's get a look at the pants. The waist of the pants is stretchy all the way around and has a draw string for adjustability. The cuffs of the legs are also adjustable with zippered expanders and waterproof gussets. The pocket on the pants has a hook and loop closure system and is almost completely waterproof. There are reinforced panels in high wear areas on the both the backside and also on the legs where the fabric can come into high heat areas and rub on footpegs. The legs also have removable stirups to help keep your pantlegs from riding up and letting water into your boots. The only feature not in these pants is the mesh liner you find in the jacket.
This has been a closer look at the Thunder Under RS5003 Two Piece Motorcycle Rainsuit.
