The Speed and Strength Cruise Missile jacket has a water resistant AR-600 Poly chassis with perforated leather panels across the chest, upper arms, and across the back. This is going to be a two season jacket much like the Off The Chain 2.0. Its lightweight construction isn’t quite heavy enough for cold winter weather, and it doesn’t flow quite enough air for a hot, sunny summer day. This jacket is going to bring the most comfort in the spring and the fall for sure.
It’s available in two colorways; this black cream and orange version, and version SS calls vintage black that looks a lot like denim with a patina to it. It’s available in sizes small to three x, and the jacket has a very full cut. The arms are only slightly precurved, and the chest and belly offer plenty of room for all sorts of body types. This jacket can definitely be worn on any style bike you wish, but it’s probably going to be happiest on a naked bike, cruiser, or a vintage café racer or bobber.
This Cruise Missile jacket has a fairly basic construction and a clean look. The only pockets on the exterior are the zippered hand warmer pockets, so the jacket is uncluttered looking. The roominess and adjustability make this a very comfortable jacket to wear. The accordion style stretch panels on the fronts of the shoulders and the expansion panels on the back make this jacket excellent for bobbers and other cruisers with extended reaches. The low profile, microfiber lined, mandarin style collar helps with this as well. The jacket doesn’t press against your windpipe if your hand position is above your shoulders, like the collars of some jackets do. You also have adjustability at the waist in the form of these hook and loop adjusters. The last bit of adjustability is at the cuffs, with hook and loop closures and microfiber gussets and linings.
Protection is delivered in the form of CE rated Vault armor in the shoulders, elbows, and back, and there is a stripe of reflective piping across the shoulders on the back. There are also snap type belt attachments in the back of the jacket to provide a little extra protection for the skin on your lower back. This can also be a handy feature depending on your riding position, for keeping the jacket from riding up.
Breathability is achieved through the use of a combination of laser perforated leather panels and vents located on the biceps and down the sides of the back. On cooler mornings and evenings, you can install the zip out quilted thermal liner. While we’re inside the jacket, you can see the hidden zippered pocket with pistol restraint for you properly licensed concealed carriers.
