These new Mistral Mesh
Motorcycle gloves from
perfect for the rider looking for a lightweight warm weather glove for the
street with significant features and protection. These gloves are made of very
soft goat skin leather with air mesh panels that flow a ton of air. They’re also
available in an all leather version. The fit is very generous. In fact I would
say that these gloves run about one size larger than normal, so take that into
consideration when ordering. The Mistral gloves are loaded with useful features
and detail. Starting with the fingers on the palm side of the glove, you can see
the externally stitched panels and the metallic stitching on the right index
finger. This stitching is also found on the thumb and enables the wearer to
manipulate a capacitive touch screen on a cell phone. The palms are reinforced
with heat pressed Clarino panels that extend onto the thumb for extra grip.
While we’re looking at the thumb, you can see the open backed leather panel with
a strip of soft padding near the tip and a TPR slider. At the wrist is a Velcro
adjuster for a secure fit.
If you flip the glove over you can see the same armor arrangement that we saw on
the thumb, with the pads and TPR sliders on the three inside fingers. All four
fingers are equipped with accordion style flex panels for added mobility. As we
move down the hand, you can see the articulated knuckle padding covered in mesh.
This panel obviously isn’t going to breath, but the mesh material adds to the
panel’s flexibility. The top of the hand features more stretch panels like the
ones on the fingers, and there are additional flex areas that extend up each
side of the hand. Finally, as we get to the wrist, you can see the TPR
FieldSheer logo and
the padded armor to protect your ulna.
The new FieldSheer
Mistral Mesh gloves are an excellent choice for the street rider looking for an
ultra-lightweight and breathable glove with ample protection for warm weather
