Speed And Strength Black 9 Moto Shoes Review

Comment: Very cool shoe fits true to the size chart and very well made. Extremely comfortable and will provide great protection over normal shoes while riding. I have the black and the brown and both are great. Shipping was extremely fast and price was to good to pass on. Buy these shoes you will not be disappointed.

Does this shoe have a shank?

Best Answer: I'm new to street riding this year so I'm not sure what a shank is. Although it does have a reinforced toe and pass on the ankles...I love these shoes!! Very comfortable when I'm wearing them at work.

For those of you that are wondering what the difference between a riding shoe and boot are, it’s simple. A boot has a shank. A shank is a metal or plastic reinforcement that runs along the foot board to make it rigid. If you can do this, it’s a shoe. The Black Nine is not without a level of protection, though. The toe box is reinforced, as is the heel cup, and the medial and lateral sides of the ankle are protected by hidden plates within the shoe.
They’re available in three colorways including black, grey and brown, and are available in Men’s sizes eight to thirteen. They are built like a skate shoe, with a gentle arch, so they’ll fit a lot of different widths of feet. There is a size chart on the listing to help determine your size based on length in inches.
The upper is constructed of textured leather, and the outsoles are anti-slip and covered in custom dirt. The closure system is unique. These shoes are lace-ups, but the laces feed through loops under the grommet flap so that you can achieve a snug fit without abandoning your reputation of sloth-like laziness. They have also added a heavy duty leather tab to the back of the shoe so you can put these shoes on without untying them, because aint nobody got time for that. Inside the Black Nines you can see the moisture wicking liner that’s perforated to promote airflow, and minimize that funk. You’ll also find a removable insole.
In all seriousness, the new Black Nine motorcycle riding shoe from Speed and Strength is a great option for the street rider looking for a protective riding sneaker that will look great on or off the bike.
