How to find your size ?

Please use a cloth tape to take your measurement. It is better to have a helper do the measuring in order to get accurate measurement. The circumference of the head should be measured at a point approximately one inch above the eyebrows, or at whatever point gives the largest possible measurement. If you find that your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the smaller size for this helmet.

Great vintage-style "pudding basin"

Comment: If you like this style of lid,buy this one.You won't regret it.Pretty faithful replica of the old pudding basin helmets of the 50s and 60s,and the price can't be beat.Plus,it's DOT certified, which brand "D" ain't. DOT certs may be arbitrary, but at least it makes it legal in all 50 states. I bought mine to complete the ensemble with my retro Triumph Scrambler.I've had it almost two years, worn it nearly everyday, and it's held up well. There are a few chips in the cheap matte paint, but that's my fault, not the helmets(and besides,a little "distressing"just adds to the flavor of the helmet,in my opinion). The interior, straps, etc.show no signs of wear at all. I've been riding motorcycles for over 35 years, and this is the most comfortable open face/half helmet that I've ever worn. You'll forget you have it on.It's super light, with unlimited peripheral vision, and it's close-to-the-head profile keeps it from catching the wind the way a larger lid does.I've ridden at well over The Ton(100 MPH)on my un-faired Triumph, with none of the "parachute around the neck" effect I've experienced with every other open face helmet I've ever owned.I think maybe the fairly snug fitting neck curtain has something to do with that, too. When I first put it on,it felt very "round".That is to say,I could feel pressure on the front and back, but none on the sides. After wearing it a few times, though,it conformed to the shape of my head, and, like I said,I forget I'm even wearing it.

Good gear, great price,

Comment: This helmet is at unbeatable price. But, some State-run Motorcycle Safety Courses require a 3/4 helmet at minimum, and this is only half. Privately sponsored MSF courses allow this helmet. Also, the XL size is little too small for my head. I got one from a store's discount rack, also XL and it fits perfectly.

Cool Retro Helmet

Comment: Really looks the part, at a fraction of the price of those English pudding basins, that are not even legal.DOT rating on this means you can wear it anywhere. It's the most comfortable helmet I've ever worn, and it's so light, you forget you're wearing it. This thing cuts through the wind, and doesn't give me the "parachute around the neck" feel that I get from other open face or half helmets, even at over the Ton. It's pretty noisy though. It's a pretty thin liner, but should give at least as good protectin as one of those little "skid lid" type helmets.

Good Retro Value

Comment: I ordered both the Blk and silver and silver and black. One was for my girlfriend and one for my self. Use measuring chart. She measured as a Med and it fits well. I measured as a Large and it is too loose. Her Med fits great. So I will have to return it for a reorder. Helmet looks well constructed for price. A little bulkier the Davida. Prob helps meet DOT cert. Very Retro. Good Buy. Fast Shipping

Comment: This helmet is a great value, unfortunately, it didn't work for me. I know in the past, there had been some recalls on this model and perhaps the one I received was a "newer" model (with more padding, perhaps?), but the low-profile that some folks described was not what i experienced, in fact, it was about as "mushroom-y" as my current 1/2 helmet (HCI-100) which i'd hoped this one would replace -- oh well. I ordered a large and perhaps there are just a few different mold sizes and this is how the large looks (i.e.: perhaps the SM or XXL looks a bit more trim). The chin-strap was a bit short and barely closed -- another reason for the return (perhaps I should try and XL). Jafrum's return policy was great and I simply returned the helmet with few hassles -- I bumped up the rating one star because of this.

Comment: Bought both the (L) (too small) and (XL) (too big) and the chin strap was waaay too short on both. The helmet overall was far more bulbous (with a much shorter strap) than my (L) THH helmet. This might work well for some folks, but it's not the low-profile look that I was expecting. However Jafrum's return policy was/is stellar, so I'll buy with the confidence that I can return without hassles.
