Alpinestars was founded in Asolo, Italy in 1963 by Sante Mazzarolo. The name Alpinestars comes from the English translation on the Italian flower “Stella Alpina” which is local to the area where the company was founded. The company flourished in the 1990’s with famous riders Kenny Roberts, Mick Doohan, and Roger DeCoster wearing their gear. Alpinestars is still worn by riders Jorge Lorenzo, Casey Stoner, and crowd-favorite Ben Spies in the MotoGP world. In the NASCAR realm, Driver Jimmie Johnson sports a flame-retardant Alpinestars suit. For Alpinestars, driver safety is the main priority, but they remain unbelievably stylish.
