Comment: I ordered Cortex DSX Jacket because I wanted a denim jacket with extra protection. This jacket sure has it. The CE elbow and shoulder pads are really nice. I don't know if the back bad can be replaced with a CE-approved protector -- it is removable. The zipper is heavy-duty. The liner has a similar zipper plus snap tabs to hold the sleeves, 2 for each sleeve at the cuff that are color-coded so that you don't accidentally twist the sleeve (nice touch). This is NOT a light jacket, it's much heaver than a standard Levi-type denim jacket. The material is very soft and comfortable, you don't have to break it in. It felt much more comfortable than the nylon "textile" jackets I'd tried-on. The vents were very welcome. It was around 80 degrees today when I went for a ride, the jacket felt warm when stopped, but the vents really kept it cool when I was riding. Exactly what I was hoping for. It's a very well-made jacket.
RE: sizing -- I'm a big guy and originally ordered a 5x even though I often wear a 52 suit jacket because I find many cycle jackets to be snug. I wound up getting a 4x and it fits great -- room for my "mature" gut, not snug at all, and I can wear a sweater or fleece jacket under it even with the liner in place.
