Comment: Well to be honest I am amazed at the quality of this jacket for the price. They were out of the jacket when I ordered it. Having said that once they got it in and shipped it was here quick. Would be 300 bucks at the store.
Detour Leather Jacket
Comment: I have owned jackets that cost three times as much and they were not this nice. The armour fits great, the jacket is heavy and warm with it's full zip out liner. The vents work very well and the jacket looks great.BUY ONE!
Jacket looks great!
Comment: I read comments before I purchase online so I wanted to add mine for others. I just received this Jacket last night via FedEx and I'm very impressed. Quality looks very good, fit is excellent. I'm a 44 sport jacket and the XL (44) fits perfect. Shipping was super fast, ordered it Saturday night and received it Tuesday night (although we are both in NC) So far very happy.
Detour 8013 Leather Jacket
Comment: Very nice heavy jacket with a great price. Totally blocks the cold air from you and comfortable to wear. No flaws to date.
Detour Leather Jacket
Comment: Over all nice jacket for the money. Wish it had zippers on pockets to be able to secure things without having to worry about loosing them. Two sippers in front are vents and not pockets. The leather tabs on the zippers are not very strong and break off easy.
Comment: I live in NC, ride year round. I have been wearing this Jacket for about a month now. Keeps me warm, good quality. Louie doesn't steer you wrong! Go with the measurement size, not the letters. I never wear an XL, but since it said 44" that is what I got, fit perfect. And, as always Jafrum ships very fast.
The Detour 8013 is a premium
quality, armored, water resistant, buffalo leather jacket that is packed with
features for less than 120 dollars.
The 8013 is a really sharp looking jacket. It has brushed silver hardware which
stands out against the black buffalo leather. All of the zippers have these
leather pull tabs that make them easy to operate while wearing gloves. The neck
has a two snap euro style collar and there are two zippered pockets on either
side of the chest. There are also two additional pockets down near the waist for
added storage. I probably wouldn't put anything real important in these pockets,
though. There's no snap or zipper to keep the pocket shut.
Moving onto the hip area, the waist has zippered expanders on either side with a
buckle that can be adjusted to accommodate the size of your breakfast. The
sleeves of the 8013 have zippered expanders. These make it easier to get the
jacket on and off and eliminate the need to fight the sleeve to get your glove
gauntlet under the cuff. Also on the sleeves, there are zippered vents on the
inside of the biceps area to dramatically improve ventilation.
Moving onto the rear of the 8013, this
motorcycle jacket retains
its minimalist look. There is one large back vent across the top. The back also
has a removable spine pad for added protection. Like with most casual riding
jackets, the pad in the back is not CE approved. CE back pads are very bulky and
typically only found in racing applications.
The interior of the 8013 has a quilted liner that is insulated and removable and
there are pockets on either side of it for extra storage. This liner seals in
your body heat and will keep you warm during the colder months. On warmer days
you can take the quilted liner out, exposing a mesh lining that promotes
airflow. To remove the quilted liner, simply unzip the liner from the shell.
Then unsnap the cuffs of the liner from the cuffs of the shell. The liner then
pulls right out.
The Detour 8013 has removable CE approved armor in the shoulders and elbows to
offer added protection just in case you accidently bump the eject button. To
remove the armor, simply locate the armor pocket and unfasten it. Carefully pull
the armor out through the opening so that you don't damage the pocket.
While we are looking at the inside, notice that this jacket also comes with a
zippered connection that allows you to attach riding pants to the jacket for a
complete riding suit. Connecting your garments together provides added
protection from the elements as well as the asphalt.
