Detour Mesh Jacket Review
Comment: I bought this jacket for warm weather wear. I'm a solid large size 40" chest. going by that I bought a medium size. Fits snug and looks correct just like the model in the video. (just the fit not me). If you're going to wear anything under it go by your correct size. I've only used it for one ride with the rain liner installed. It feels snug but comfortable. The construction of the jacket is fine. The liner is only a vest so I'm thinking this is not meant foe cold weather. For spring and summer wear I do endorse this jacket and would buy it again in the size I bought
Comment: I bought this jacket as a birthday present for my fiance. He really liked it. We ride motorcycles with a group of people everyday. And I am glad he has this now, it blocks the wind, its waterproof and the three layers come apart for hotter days. It was cheap and was well worth the money.
Detour 8022 Mesh Jacket Review
Comment: Wow! This is my third time ordering from Jafrum and I am impressed! My mesh jacket fit perfectly and I did go by the size chart as instructed. The jacket is better than I expected and Jafrum delivered very quickly. I definitely recommend Jafrum, and this jacket.
Nice jacket with good features
Comment: I needed an armored jacket for warm weather riding and I'm glad I found this one. I like the design, the features, the feel, the versatility and the price. The liners zip out to add or delete as you need to. The fit & size was true to the chart. Plenty of pockets and adjustments. Overall, I am very happy with this one. Thanks again Jafrum for another good experience.
The Detour 8022 Mesh jacket is constructed out of durable polynylon with
heavy duty ballistic nylon in the shoulders and elbows. You have your choice of
two color ways with the 8022 including all black and black with silver panels
across the chest, arms, and back. It's available in sizes M thru 4X, and
features removable CE approved armor in the shoulders and elbows. There is also
a foam pad added to the back to protect your spine. In addition, there is
padding sewn right into the shell in the shoulders, back, and lower back. The
lower back padding works with this zippered panel that allows you to attach the
jacket to your pants to reduce the chance of rash in a crash. Night time
visibility is improved by the addition of reflective piping on the shoulders and
The main closure features a YKK nylon zipper with a metal pull tab, and the
collar has a ridge of heavy padding to eliminate any irritation. The hand warmer
pockets at the waist feature zippered closures to help you keep track of your
The fit is completely adjustable to accommodate whatever layers you may want to
wear under the jacket. There are hook and loop adjustments at the waist and
these snap down adjusters on the sleeves that also help to reduce buffeting of
the jacket at higher speeds. The cuff opening is also adjustable thanks to these
hook and loop straps.
Unzipping the shell exposes the hidden pocket and the zipper for the removable
full sleeve waterproof liner. Unzipping the waterproof liner eposes the
removable quilted thermal vest liner. This liner has the same connection zipper
dimensions as the waterproof liner so you can wear this jacket with just the
thermal liner if you want to, although it's probably not going to do much in a
mesh jacket without the waterproof liner in place. The thermal liner also offers
a significant amount of additional storage with a zippered pocket on the right
and a multi-pocket setup on the left.
