This FirstGear Heated Jacket requires a heat troller (sold separately). You must purchase at minimum a single heat troller for this item. Gloves will attach to the jacket with no additional troller required as long as you do not wish to set the glove and jacket at different temperatures. Trollers can be mounted or not to the bike depending on troller purchased. A remote for heat control is also available. BMW riders will most likely have to purchase a converter for power. The power for these items comes directly from the bike which you must install. If preferred, you can purchase a portable battery pack with optional a/c adapter (case optional as well). Splitters may be purchased to connect an additional rider to the power source from the bike.
Please measure the circumference of your chest using a cloth tape measure and add 1" if the measurement is an odd number to get to the next even number and choose your size from the chart below. Please note all measurements are in inches.
Firstgear's heated line of apparel is some of the most versatile on the
market, and definitely of the highest quality. In today's video, we are going to
take closer look at the Waterproof Heated Jacket. To get a closer look at any of
the other items individually, or to learn how to choose the best heat-trollers
or accessories for your heated items, click the link below to go to the website.
The first item we have here is the 90 watt Heated Waterproof Jacket. This jacket
comes in Men's sizes S-3X and tall sizes L-2X, and in Women's sizes XS-2XL. This
garment is meant to be worn as either a jacket or a liner and should fit snug to
work optimally. Both men's and ladies jackets are available in this red color,
or in charcoal gray. This jacket is constructed using a microfiber polyester
shell and is compatible with any of Firstgear's heat-trollers. The sleeves and
collar feature Illuminite reflective panels and the jackets flexibility is
facilitated by these Gelanots stretch panels. Hooking up your jacket is easy.
First, connect the battery harness to the battery. Be sure to connect accessory
leads to the battery terminals beneath the motorcycles battery cables. This will
keep the connections from coming loose and prevent the accessory connectors from
breaking when you torque down the battery hardware. Then, connect your heat-troller
to the battery harness. If you are using a single Heat-Troller, simply plug the
troller into the lead in the left hand warmer pocket and you are ready to go. If
you are using a single heat-troller with the jacket and gloves, be sure that the
plug in the accessory plug pocket is plugged in, or the gloves will not get
power. If you are using a dual heat troller, connect one of the troller's power
leads to the plug inside the left pocket. Connect the troller's other power lead
to the male connector inside the accessory connector pocket. Now you can control
your jacket and gloves individually. The extra female plug can be used to power
the pants or pants liner. The little pocket inside of the left hand warmer
pocket is used to house the receiver if the remote control heat trollers are
used. Glove connections are conveniently located in these pockets on the
sleeves. To access the internals of the jacket, use the zipper pocket in the
rear at the waist. This jacket comes with a carry bag and a coax splitter cable.
Firstgear also offers a 65 or 90 watt liner only option with the same
connectivity capability but without the finished jacket look.
