It is comfortable and not to bulky as in some other brands that I have checked on at shops. The leather surface over the shell is just the thing. I consider this to be a good choice for me.

Comment: I ride a little 150cc scooter and the helmets i kept finding locally were either wider than my bike or too costly. Point of buying the scooter was to save on gas and it does; same reason whay I bought the Beanie Helmet. Not only is it DOT certified but it's light weight and not goofy looking like some half cut helmets. In Texas we really do not have to wear helmets if you meet certain requirements with your insurance and other things. But safety is key as I have already had a 10mph spill and walked away with road rash and have noticed that most of those on-the-cell-phone-suv-driving-housewives don't pay attention half the time thus my purchase. I went for both safety and style; and as stated before the price was at least half off from purchasing from any mc or scooter shop locally. I ordered my helmet and before I knew it I had it as the turn around was that quick. Thanks Jafrum.

The others were uncomfortable and made your head look like a giant mushroom...not these, very cool and cool looking too! Wind noise can be loud from the ear straps, nothing a pair of earplugs wont fix! Shipping was fast and product exceeded my expectations...highly reccomended!

Comment: I bought 2 of these helmets. I could not be more satisfied for the price. It is a very comfortable helmet and my wife doesn't complain about the bobble head look. Also the shipping was very fast. I ordered them in the morning and received them the next afternoon.

Comment: The helmet fit snug right out of the box. Since I have no windshield I also purchased the visor and it looks fine on the helmet. I wouldn't use this for high speed interstate travel unless you have a winshield on your bike. Full face is so much more comfortable for that.

Comment: The lining didn't stick to the shell, so I put some double stick tap in there. Problem solved. This is my first non-full coverage helmet and it was great this summer with my windshield, not so good without the windshield. But it improved the overall ride experinece by a ton.

Comment: Helmet was true to size and is made of quality material. Chin strap position is very comfortable. Also got the mirror face shield and it does a great job blocking the wind and doesn't look bad at all when connected to the helmet. Only criticism is that the face shield has a small amount of kickback glare and in some areas the FOV is distorted, very slight and it doesn't bother me but noticible.

Comment: Being completely real, this helmet does sit somewhat low on your head but with any DOT helmet you will have some of the "mushroom head" look. However, the mushrrom look is minimal & if you wear glasses or goggles with this helmet it looks even better. So bottom line is Yes, I highly recommend this helmet as it does fit great, is very comfortable, very affordable & also runs very true to size. If your head measures out to be a large, then get a large etc etc.

Comment: The Half Helmet Dot 100 replaced the Fulmer Trooper Half Helmet I have been wearing since 2002. The helmet is more comfortable and lighter than the Fullmer and also is narrower. I think that the srew-on face shield feature is the best set-up you can have for the highway. It is perfect for riding on the highway in the rain. The light weight of this combination enables a long day of riding without neck fatigue. Thanks for offering this half helmet - face shield combination, I must say however, that the face shield does present a degree of visual distortion. For any long distance rider who wants to avoid the weight and restrictiveness of a full face helmet, this is the ticket!

Well made, good looking...the only complaint I have at all is that the chin strap could be a squosh longer...but that is my only complaint, seriously. I would recommend this to anyone. It looks a lot better on me when I'm riding my scooter than that honkin' huge full-size helmet I had been wearing (and that I paid nearly $100 for!). This goes well with a scooter. Comment: This helmet is slightly tapered to the front reducing the mushroom cap head of most half helmets. The only thing it could use is a snap for the chin strap instead of the rubber retainer. But I can live with that. Its also very comfortable and locks well on my head making me feel very secure. Get one, you cant really go wrong with this helmet.

Comment: I read a ton of reviews on different helmets because the last one i bought online made me look like the dark helmet from Spacebals..:) for a d.o.t, that effect is minimal. Very happy overall. I wear a 7.5" baseball hat and ordered the xxl. Seems to fit well.
