Comment: Not quite as sleek as a novelty, but it's as close as you'll get in a DOT-approved helmet, and you will NOT look like a mushroom wearing this. I've ridden with this in 20 to 25 MPH winds at freeway speeds of 80 and 90 and there was ZERO lift and no buffeting. If you have a novelty head, get a novelty helmet. Otherwise, do yourself a favor and buy one of these. If you beef in this, the protection will be marginal, but it's better than nothing and you absolutely can't do better for this price. The Brand company cut a few corners with the strap/hardware to bring this to market for dirt cheap, but the helmet and liner are great quality considering the price. This is a steal at this price.

It sits slightly high as the other reviews state but is definately one of the beter looking low profile legal helmets out there for me. Size chart is accurate. Overall I would highly recommend going with this over an inflated $ H-D helmet, you won't be disappointed.

Comment: HCI helmets fit my oval noggin great! (8" long by 5" wide = large) Traditional circumference measurements dont take this into consideration. The more expensive helmets are too round to fit comfortably, I've been VERY happy with HCI half & full helmets. Quality is great, fit/comfort is excellent. 5 stars, especially if you've got an oval egg!

Comment: Just got mine in today, looks are great and was way more than I expected. Sits really low and doesn't give you that mushroom effect. Its not as low as a novelty one but about the best DOT version I have seen.

Comment: The size was very tight in the matt black. I ordered the same helmet in the leather and it was too big. Not a big fan of the cushioning on the inside (seemed cheap), but I guess it was fair for the price.

Comment: Size runs a bit small. I measured at 22 1/4 inches, but the medium was too tight. I exchanged for a large and it fit great. It has ample cushion, but I don't feel like a have a "mushroom head." One con, I wished I would have purchased a helmet with ear cover pieces. Overall, good buy!

Comment: It looks like you want. I wish they had a 3xl. When my hair is shaved it fits pretty good. The liner in mine was made a bit sloppily. But for the money, its a good helmet with a nice fit and look.

Comment: Got this to replace an old police style half-helmet that gave me terrible mushroom head. This helmet is light, stylish, and fits perfect to size. Has a strong plastic smell out of the box but it dissipates after a week or two in the fresh air...just means you need to hurry and ride more :-)
