Comment: As if riding a 1947 Vespa in olive-drab green weren't enough, I also wear this helmet. My roommate was worried I'd get beaten up; I thought people would be amused. I was right.

It's a good-looking helmet and very well-made. It's also fairly light weight considering how substantial it is. A word of warning, however -- it is much thicker than what you might expect -- think Darth Vader-sized as opposed to trim barely-bigger-than-your-head like you see in the movies.

I see that someone hasn't received what they ordered from Jafrum, and I feel bad for them. I received it faster than I expected, actually, ready to go the moment it came out of the box.

Comment: Have to admit, I was hesitant to buy the DOT German helmet offered through Jafrum, because they were out of stock on the next size up, and because of what I've read about this company on a few forums. The helmet I received, arrived quickly, fit perfectly and turned out to be the high quality HCI brand. Check for yourself, the HCI German helmet tends to be priced way higher on other websites. HCI German helmets are beautifully crafted, are manufactured in three shell sizes, for a proportional fit. Jafrum is good to go!

It's lined with hard styrafoam, on average about .850" (21.5mm) thick, including the top of the head, where most helmets lack. I was wondering why the post office was at the bottom of their shipping list. In fact they said my helmet was missing, but it arrived two days later. Good thing this isn't a review of the post office.

Comment: I ordered this helmet for its design and the fact it is DOT approved for California highways. Great for putt-ing around town, but also does well at highway speeds. Get that classic look and a great value. Has d-rings for fastening, but a trip to the local motorcycle shop I install quick release clips.

Comment: I've had a full face Vega helmet for years. I just got my new XL German style helmet today. My Vega is a Large and after reading the reviews on this German helmet, everyone said it ran small. The XL fits but is a little sloppy, I probably should've gone with my gut and gotten a Large, since I like my helmets tight around my head. Overall though, it is very nice and I will probably just deal with the sloppiness. Hope this helps!

I found Jafrum by accident while web surfing back in December and found what I was looking for. Used Jafrum's head measurement suggestion and the helmet fits great! Comment: The helmet is great! It doesn't slip backwards in the wind, and it's very comfortable. The only issue is how high it sits on your head. It's DOT approved-- which is code for a ton of padding. I'm going to keep this one for trips through states that require DOT, but I'm also going to get a "novelty" German helmet, so satisfy the style I wanted.

Comment: Quality is great and they look fantastic, it took 10 days to get to me but I expected that due to my location. Only problem I found is that it sits to high on the head and I look like magilla gorilla. So I have to trim the inners for it to fit properly, but great site and I will shop here again.

My head was 23 and 1/2 inches so I should have had 1/2 extra, it digs into forehead and it on tight enough to pull cloth on the inside out with my head when it comes off, It is light and cool and the color is what I wanted to go with the bike, it was just the size is like it is one size to small, maybe my head will form it, don't know.

Comment: Love the German style non DOT helmets so I decided to order this one. Unfortunately it fits nothing like and looks nothing like the non dot helmets. To be honest it looks like a mushroom head helmet. Returning due to it looking nothing like a German style but as far as comfort it did feel nice, but not at all the look I was going for.

Gave it a great OD Green paint job. Added just a little to the overall weight but still comfortable and looks great.

Comment: Fite well, I wear 7 3/8 fitted baseball hat, ordered XL fit comfortably. Its DOT so it rides a bit higher up on the head than what you would expect but its really well made. Shipping was very very fast.

Comment: I got my helmet a day earlier than promised. The helmet looked better than the picture on the web site, it was nice and light, and had that cool look I wanted. I measeured my head like the instructions said and I was on the large end of Medium so thats what I ordered, unfortunately the helmet was WAY to small. I'd suggest ordering a size larger than what your measurements indicate. If the helmet fit I would have given it 5 stars all day long.

Comment: If you want a German helmet that will protect you then this is it. It does have thick padding inside and sits on top of your head higher than the non DOT helmets but no more than any other DOT helmet. Ive seen people comment that it looks like Dark Helmet from Spaceballs but that is an exaggeration and not true. It also passed the "ridicule test" of my friends. If it looked bad I would not hear the end of it. They loved it and only made comments in reference to an inmfamous German dictator and his youth programs and suggested I grow a particular mustache. Make sure you measure your head to get the correct size. Very pleased with it.

Comment: I purchased the Helmet on a Saturday Morning and didn't get shipped until the following Tuesday, They are on the east coast so I assume that is the reason. Great Helmet fits perfect exactly as described had to super glue the front piece of trim back onto the helmet but what do you want for this price I guess!!! All In all a Ok purchase. Will shop here again but will be a last resort rather than a first pick.
