Size Chart for the HJC IS-Max BT Ready Modular Helmet
Wrap a tape measure horizontally around your forehead. Select the helmet that is the closest fit to that size. A helmet should fit snug on your head. If it moves while wearing, it is too large. If it is painful to wear, it is too small.
Comment: Great fit, great features, great vents. The bluetooth really works. This is one helmet I hope to keep for some time to come.
HJC is the perfect helmet for me
Comment: This is the second HJC modular helmet I've owned, with a cheap-ass Fulmer in between to REALLY demonstrate the difference! Stick with HJC, they know what they're doing. It feels lighter than my last one, and even in this summer's crazy heat still manages to feel cool (ish) thanks to the venting system. Probably won't use the bluetooth feature, but I know most people will, so I guess it's smart for them to include that. Price from Jafrum was outstanding- cost me less than earlier mentioned cheap-o helmet from Fulmer.

HJC Modular Helmut
Comment: I really like the new helmet. I have used HJC helmets for the last 12 years and theyfit me better than any of the many I have tried.
Best Helmet I have ever had
Comment: Best helmet I have ever had
Comment: The helmet is great, But you needed to get a size biger than a half helment size.I allways wore a halfhelment. I had to send it back and get the next size bigger. I rilley like this one.

HJC Bluetooth Helmet
Comment: The helmet is comfortable and convenient when stopping for a fill up. Very pleased. Best helment I've had.
HJC Bluetooth Motorcycle Helmet
Comment: Get at least a half size larger. Returned mine for a larget size. The return was easy. Helmet is great if you want full face protection. I used it in cooler weather and it kept me plenty warm.
HJC IS-Max BT Helmet
Comment: This is my second IS-Max BT. I need a 3XL helmet and the IS-Max is a perfect fit. I've put the Chatterbox on both -- primarily so that the wife can chatter when she's on board. When riding solo I prefer to use BT ear buds. When the Symax 3XL mold was done away, the IS-Max became my helmet of choice.
HJC IS-Max BT Modular Helmet
Comment: I ordered this helmet and received it in 2 days. I think that is the fastest I have ever received an order. Been wanting this helmet for some time and it was on sale with free shipping so I got it. Best Helmet I have had. I have an openfaced HJC just like this modular helmet. Same color which matches my bike. Definately will order from Jafrum again.
HJC IS MAX BT Modular Helmet
Comment: This is the best helmet I have ever owned. Fit is very good. Have to order a couple of sizes bigger than normal. I have worm a medium in other helmets I ordered an Xtra Large in this one and same with HJC 3/4 Helmet.
HJC IS MAXBT Modular helmet
Comment: Great helmet. My head measured 22 5/8 and got a medium, fit perfect. Seems well made. I ride without a windshield and the wind noise inside helmet is not bad at all. Installed the Echo quick release for the strap and its much easier on and off. Shaded visor could be darker, venting could be a little better but overall I'm happy with it.

HJC-IS Max Helmet
Comment: Admittedly I have only owned one cheap helmet, but I was frustrated with it so thought I would give this helmet a try. It is probably still considered a cheap helmet, but I love it! It is so much better than anything else I have used. The flip mechanism works smoothly, I love the sun visor and it grips my head without crushing my ears. I love my helmet!
HJC Bluetooth Helmet
Comment: This is my second one!! I know I can trust

HJC Bluetooth Helmet
Comment: Great helmet although I ordered a size bigger than my other brand helmet and wished I had gone 2 sizes bigger. Even used the chart provided on this site,
HJC Helmets too small
Comment: if you're gonna buy one of these using their hat size chart, better get the next size bigger.
Comment: I live in Australia and these helmets sell for around $600. The price on this site with delivery was excellent, the helmet is better than I expected, very comfortable to wear easy to use with gloves on and easy to see out of.
Comment: My husband has a large head and has difficulty finding comfortable 3X helmets. He got this for Christmas and absolutely loves it. Great pricing and wonderful experience with Jafrum. I had it shipped to our daughter's home so he wouldnt see the boxes and Jafrum called to have me verify different shiping location. With all the fraud issues around i was very pleased that they did that! Would definitely purchase through Jafrum again!!

HJC Helmet Review
Comment: Good quality item for the price. This is the third HJC helmet for me. I wanted the flexability and protection that a modular helmet gives. I wear a "doo rag" year round (evaporater rag in summer) so I ordered one size larger than normal, fits just right. Sizing chart is accurate. To cold now to test the vents system. I did order the PinLock Amber lens insert and the chin curtain, both very easy to install, to help antifog and keep the winter air off the jaw/lower face. I ordered on a Thursday, on the doorstep on the following Tuesday (two weeks before Christmas). Very happy with the product and Jafrum's customer service. :)
HJC IS Max Helmet
Comment: I have nothing but good things to say about my helmet, I have had HJC helmets before and will probably always have one. I would like to compliment Jafrum on the speed of their shipping...three days earlier than I expected! Fantastic! Super fast shipment and a price that was close to $70 less than other places on line and $150 less than in my local cycle shop....how can you beat that? Jafrum, you've got a new regular customer!
Comment: If you are like me and have a large skull, you know how difficult it can be to find a helmet that fits well. I checked about ever Motorcycle website and only Jafrum.com had a great selection of XXXL and larger helmets. The HJC IS Max is perfect to fit, long as you can measure your head right and you will be fine. One would think for a larger helmet weight would be a problem but once you have it on feels light as a feather. I know I will come back here for my next motorcycle products wheather its a helmet or another accessory. Ordered on a Monday, received on Wednesday you can't beat that. Thanks Jafrum
HJC IS-Max BT Ready Modular Helmet
Comment: Very nice construction. Have not put a BT device on it yet.

Comment: I haven't ridden in 30 years. I purchased a motorcycle and sidecar in El Paso, TX and asked a friend to drive it back with me. Being a retired law enforcement officer I first hand saw what riding without a helmet could result in. I researched helmets and the HJC IS MAX BT seemed to be exactly what I wanted in a helmet. My friend "HIGHLY" suggested that I take his out and get acquainted again before we make the long 1,703 mile journey back home. Less than 12 hours before we were to fly out I took his V Rod out to a nearby school parking lot and was doing quite well when a dog ran out infront of me. I hit the, the bike went down, it bent the handlebars, roadrashed the bike pretty well, ripped a hole in the shoulder of my shirt and broke and displaced my collar bone. I didn't realize that my head hit the concrete. My friend pointed out the roadrash on my helmet. I was so very well protected I I didn't know my head hit the concrete until the roadrash was pointed out.
We flew to El Paso and was greeted by a temperature in excess of 100 degrees. We headed back right away and when we stopped for gas and took our helmets off I noticed my friends head was wet and mine was dry. He is bald and I have thick, heavy hair. The ventilation system they have built in is worth it's weight in gold. We were riding in 100 degree temperatures during the day until we got back to Indiana and it was a comfortable 1,703 mile ride for me. My neck wasn't stiff and I felt like I could have ridden another 1,000 miles.
As far as I'm concerned, the HJC ISMAX BT is the best for safety, comfot and convenience. I wear glasses and the dual visor, ventilation, modular capabilities made this over the top.
I bought two, my wife is clostrophobic and dopesn't like the full face so I will get her an open face with the same features. I've got my roadfrashed helmet as a gentle reminder to my kids and grandkids for safety. The grandkids enjoy trying it on.

HJC IS-Max BT Ready Modular Helmet Review
Comment: I got this to ride in colder weather (below 40) and found it is very warm however have tuff time keeping defogged. I think a breath box would help.
The IS-MAX is third in the pecking order of HJC’s four model modular helmet lineup behind the RPHA MAX and the SY-MAX III and above the CL-MAX II. The main difference between this IS-MAX BT and the two helmets above it is the shell material and construction. The IS-MAX features a light weight polycarbonate composite shell vs the RPHA’s carbon fiber, Aramid fiber, fiber glass, and non-woven fabric shell material, and the SY-MAX III’s fiberglass shell and polycarb chinbar. There is also, though, a substantial difference in price between the three. The RPHA is coming in right at the five hundred dollar mark. The SY-MAX III is right around three hundred, and the IS-MAX retails at the very competitive two twenty spot. Check the product listing for the Jafrum price. All I can tell you is that it’s retail minus a lot. Other than being slightly heavier than its two big brothers, the IS-MAX is a true benchmark for modular helmets in this price point. There really isn’t anything close. It’s available in a variety of solid colors and graphics and comes in sizes extra small thru triple extra-large. I found this helmet to run a little snug on my long oval head, even on the sides, as per the fitment recommendations on the size chart. I have a twenty three and a half inch head which should put me in a large. This is an XL and is still quite snug. HJC’s typically give up about a third of a size to break-in, though, so the XL should work out perfectly after a few hundred miles. This helmet is a result of a lot of practice on HJC’s part. They have been making helmets for a long time and you can tell. All of the features of the IS-MAX are really smooth. The chinbar operation is by far one of the smoothest available. With the helmet on, the chinbar can be raised with a single finger. This is not a common trait among modular helmets. They also have the internal sunshade dialed in as well. Most sunshades on modular helmets don’t come down far enough for me. I end up looking right at the bottom edge of the sunshade which makes my eyes change focus a lot. It doesn’t take long for me to get a headache. Not only does this shade come down far enough, I can’t even use the bottom two out of three settings. No love lost for me as long as one of the settings works. The only feature this system doesn’t have is one they have added to the new IS-17 and that is a cushioned release for the sunshade. If you don’t help this shield back when you release it, the sound that is created can be felt in your toes. This IS-MAX is also equipped with a BT or Bluetooth ready helmet construction. It’s important to note, though, that the Bluetooth system is Not included with the helmet. There has been a little confusion in that area in the past. But, should you want one, the Chatterbox XBi2-H Bluetooth Helmet communication system is available on our site as well, and installs here in the lower left side of the shell. Recessing the BT system into the shell as opposed to exterior mounting makes the system more stable and therefore easier to operate. It also makes the unit sit with a lower profile against the shell, reducing buffeting and improving aerodynamics. The liner is also prepped for this BT system. They have recessed the entire cheek pad area, instead of just having a round hole to put the speaker in, to allow for more speaker placement adjustment. They’ve also replaced the snap on the rear of the cheek pad with Velcro to make speaker access easier. While we’re in here, you can see the IS-MAX’s super soft Silver Cool liner. You can also see the intake and exhaust vent ports. Ventilation is another helmet feature that directly affects the performance of your helmet communication system. While this is not one of the multi-piece EPS ventilation setups, HJC has done a pretty good job of promoting airflow without letting the helmet get too loud as a result. The chin vent does a great job managing shield fog, and the top vent, cools the helmet down pretty well by utilizing channeling in the EPS liner. The exhaust vents are hidden behind the interior sunshade mechanism and vent out of the back of the spoiler. The last feature I want to show you is the face shield. The IS-Max features HJC’s HJ-17 Pinlock prepared shield system. This shield system has three out of the four characteristics I think make a great system, which is pretty good considering this helmet’s low price. The first is a wide peripheral view. This shield definitely has it. Second is fog management. Pinlock is arguably the best fog management system there is without going to a snow shield. Third is a good quick release system. It doesn’t get much smoother than that. The only feature it doesn’t have is true optical correctness, which is almost impossible to achieve without stepping up to injection molding, which is a totally different price bracket. Still, the shield system works exceptionally well on this helmet as do all of the other systems. If you’re looking for a great deal on a modular helmet at the top of the polycarb class, the IS-Max BT is definitely worth your consideration.
