I have to be honest, when I found out that Firstgear released a heated glove called the Passenger in only women's sizes, I thought Firstgear was going to get overthrown in a lady rider coup. I mean, almost all of my lady rider friends own and ride their own bikes. But, after a little bit of research I found that many motorcycle passengers were asking for a heated glove that wasn't so bulky and restrictive. They wanted a glove with a cleaner look that offered better mobility than many of the heated riding gloves available. They also wanted heating elements in the palms of their gloves, which rider's gloves don't have because the palms would get way too hot from squeezing the grips. Firstgear stepped up and answered the call with the Passenger Heated Glove.
These gloves are available in women's sizes sm, md, and large and are constructed using top grain cowhide leather. They feature a waterproof, breathable Agrotex membrane and a thinsulate liner. Heating elements are located in the top of the hand, the palm, the fingers, and the thumb. They have reinforced palms and hook and loop adjusters on the gauntlet and at the wrist.
Connecting your First Gear Heated items is easy, but there are numerous different types of controller options available. To see all of the different Heat-Troller options, check out our video showing many of the ways to set up and control your new Firstgear heated gear.
Now that you have selected the type of Heat-Troller that best suits your needs, you can go ahead and connect your gloves. If you are using a pair of gloves or glove liners in conjunction with the heated jacket, simply plug the female end of the glove lead into the male lead coming out of the sleeve. If you are using a pair of gloves by themselves, you will need to purchase a DC Coax Plug Y-Harness, and the Heat-Troller of your choice, which will come with the DC Coax Battery Harness. Hold the split ends of the y-harness in your hands when you put your jacket on and you'll be wired up. Plug the gloves into the y-harness and then the y-harness into the Firstgear Heat-Troller. Once you have started your motorcycle, you can turn on the Heat-Troller and adjust the setting to your liking.
