Icon Patrol Gloves Review

by - verified purchaser
They cut the wind, cold and rain. Very comfortable. If your ordering for riding, these are the gloves. If your wanting high dexterity, order something different. A friend had a pair that I tried on. They fit and were larger than I had measured for my size by the chart.

Warm, But Not Waterproof

by - verified purchaser
These gloves are warm, comfortable, a little bulky on the controls - but not too bad. Well constructed and great protection. I wore these for the 1st time in about 30F, heavy rain at 50-70mph for about 30 minutes. My hands were comfortable until about 10 minutes into the ride, then they were soaked. Still not uncomfortably cold though, just very wet. When I took the gloves off, they had probably tripled in weight due to the water they soaked up. It didn't stop at the liner - wet all the way to the skin. Good for cold rides at speed. Not good for rainy cold rides at speed.

After a low side accident while going about 45mph, I decided to upgrade my gloves a little bit. These have reinforced knuckles, are waterproof, and do a good job keeping the cold out, although my fingers still get a little cold on chilly night rides. Size them right and they are big enough to put liners inside without losing dexterity. I'd recommend them, but keep in mind you might want to use some sort of waterproofing spray or something every other season to keep them shedding water properly.
